For the second straight season, the Miami Hurricanes will be returning to the College World Series.
Thanks largely to a two-home run, seven-RBI performance from redshirt junior Edgar Michelangeli, the Hurricanes punched their ticket to Omaha, Neb., with a 9-4 win over Boston College in Game 3 of the NCAA Coral Gables Super Regional at Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field.
Michelangeli, who connected on a three-run homer in the second inning and the first grand slam of his career in the seventh, powered a Miami offense that outhit the Eagles, 14-7. The Hurricanes received a sparkling performance on the hill from freshman Frankie Bartow, who served as a bridge to junior closer Bryan Garcia for a career-long 3.1 innings with the game’s outcome hanging in the balance.
Bartow (6-0), who threw 51 pitches, gave way to Garcia with two outs in the eighth, and the school’s all-time saves leader recorded the final four outs to send 2,589 fans into celebration.
The College World Series trip will be the 25th in program history, the second-most of any school nationwide
"I would like to congratulate our guys. Again, it was a team effort and that’s what it takes to win," head coach Jim Morris said. "We’ve had some very talented teams, but it wasn’t necessarily the best team that won, it was the team that played together as a team.
Give me a break.
I wrote that before Green got suspended, Bogut got hurt and Iguadala got hobbled.

The game was over? Over? Really? What games were you watching?
Game 5 was a 6 point game midway through the 4th quarter and Iguadala was hurt all of game 6 and it was a 9 point game to start the 4th. Even the commentators were saying they had to force the ball to Iguadala defensively because he was so hobbled.
And yes Bogut makes a difference. He's The only big body Golden State has that can keep Thompson off the boards all game.
So like I said, child please.

Steph Curry pulled a Cam Newton......I did not see the game, and there may have been some bad calls made; remember Fiesta? BUT.....things happen, and a professional learns to deal with it.
Dale Earnhardt lost the Daytona 500 every way possible....could have won 7 or 8...lost 6 times while leading....but he was not a Cam or Steph....he would shake his head and say "its not the Daytona 499." They are crybabies and showed that on sports biggest stages. They were fools and showed no composure. Sure you want to win; but learn to deal with things little children.
His wife says its rigged....her opinion. His mom is from my hometown, and I played big time softball with his Dad all over the country. His dad was one cool customer. I went to his parents wedding, they both were gifted athletes and I think they raised him to be more mature than he exhibited.
The league fined him could have suspended him. He was lucky. I hate losing too....Sometimes the losses hurt more than the wins feel good...I remember a few looses coaching that were painful....and some poor calls...but as in the fiesta, you can do things that prevent losing. I know i made mistakes, and I know we would have won the fiesta going away had we played like that team really could....greatest teams ever.
I see the Cams and Stephs having it all, yet they are crybabies and losers if somebody takes their lollypop....thats todays society....entitlement babies.
