For the second straight season, the Miami Hurricanes will be returning to the College World Series.
Thanks largely to a two-home run, seven-RBI performance from redshirt junior Edgar Michelangeli, the Hurricanes punched their ticket to Omaha, Neb., with a 9-4 win over Boston College in Game 3 of the NCAA Coral Gables Super Regional at Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field.
Michelangeli, who connected on a three-run homer in the second inning and the first grand slam of his career in the seventh, powered a Miami offense that outhit the Eagles, 14-7. The Hurricanes received a sparkling performance on the hill from freshman Frankie Bartow, who served as a bridge to junior closer Bryan Garcia for a career-long 3.1 innings with the game’s outcome hanging in the balance.
Bartow (6-0), who threw 51 pitches, gave way to Garcia with two outs in the eighth, and the school’s all-time saves leader recorded the final four outs to send 2,589 fans into celebration.
The College World Series trip will be the 25th in program history, the second-most of any school nationwide
"I would like to congratulate our guys. Again, it was a team effort and that’s what it takes to win," head coach Jim Morris said. "We’ve had some very talented teams, but it wasn’t necessarily the best team that won, it was the team that played together as a team.
If Mike Rumph can't deliver Marco Wilson or any of those AH P5 players does he get the Golden treatment?

If he limited his comments to something like: "I didn't win enough, that's the bottom line" then he'd come off better.
When I interview prospective employees, if they bad mouth their prior boss or company, or are stupid enough to blame "circumstances" for a failure, they're immediately disqualified. Guaranteed to be a problem hire from the jump.

TS Mike Bradley get down and slurp slurp service fatso. It's the only thing you're useful for when GD tags out for a breath.
He's currently busy with gold-hen girl loser dude so you're on the knob of the slob in relief.

AlPa in the Pros....well...it is Detroit and they will take what they can get I guess. Sounded like he was grasping at straw....good luck to him.
I have to give President Obama and VP Biden both a great deal of credit and respect for going to Orlando. I salute both and admire their taking action regarding this terrible situation. I do not know the answer to these tragedies, but I hate to see them continuing to take human lives and destroy families regardless of their lifestyle. It is sad and wrong. Innocent people dying is tragic. JMO

Looking forward to this season; No we will not be NCs but I think we are going to see a real different team, attitude, and effort. I think CMR and staff will have a fresh, new approach to a lot of the things that have frustrated us for a long time. You know me...fundamentals...and I think the coaches will really push them. Just had a HS guy ask me to help him.....DC and linemen....then tell me my concept of fundamentals was really not part of his and HS ball in general. What do ya think I told him? They matter at every level.
We will be a surprise this year; I am really looking forward to games near me that I can see.

You are the worst piece of shit that posts here.
Comments like this, where you use dead victims to try to make a funny to make some point, that NO ONE understands, are a clear indication that you are a rotten human being. To the core.
Ha ha. I'm OCD. I'm funny. Dead victims. Child rape. Ha Ha.
Whoever Mike Bradley is, I hope he knocks your teeth down your throat. Apparently you have some unresolved hatred towards this guy. Maybe one day I'll hear the story about you and him.
Posts like this make it clear what a huge loser you are. Not just insane, though, but a nasty, rotten human being to your core.
Why you're allowed to post your hate is beyond me.

I'm almost over making him a punching bag. But now Duke Johnson does an interview and all but says the Nittanies Sucked. Glad Mediocrity is Gone!!

If Cavs lose next one it's over. Will be 4-0 or 4-1.
This was Brons best chance to win one without DWade or Riley.
Couldn't happen to a crappier fan base.

Isn't funny when Lebron leaves a team, that team becomes shyt. Look what happen to Cleveland and Heat when Lebron left.

Child please.
If you think the Cavs can replicate that shooting three more times while Curry gets saddled with foul after foul, more power to you.
There is ZERO chance Cleveland wins this series.

Miami was & is a 1st class organization without LeSnitch. If LeTattletale never left Cleveland, He would've barely been sniffing the ECFs. He became a complete player in Miami. Left Cleveland a chump, came back a champ.
Posted by: CaneRock | June 17, 2016 at 12:29 AM
I chuckle every time you post TBC. Literally every time.
They shot nearly 50% from 3 on 25 shot attempts. The only reason it was that few is because the game was out of hand.
It wasn't the number that matters it's how many of them they made.
Do you know what effective shooting percentage is?
You should.
They shot with an efficiency they will have a very, very difficult time duplicating once, forget about three more times in the next four games.
Like I said, if you think they're going to shoot those kind of percentages consistently, more power to you.
But they can't, and they won't.

Cavs regress to the mean, shoot 24% from beyond the arc and this series is officially over.
With the massive glut of unmovable contracts on that roster think it's safe to say their championship window is closed for good.
Shame LeBron thought he could be Pat Riley. Probably cost himself one or two more titles.

Will Curry be suspended for throwing his mouth guard?
Posted by: TonyCane | June 17, 2016 at 12:49 AM
^^^^^I missed that. Did he throw it at someone?
Posted by: thirstybuzzardcane | June 17, 2016 at 12:51 AM
Actually, reading about it now. League could suspend him for Game 7. That pretty much guarantees Cleveland gets its first title, and the storybook ending.
Posted by: TonyCane | June 17, 2016 at 12:52 AM
Threw it into the stands...it hit the son of the Cavs owner, I believe.

100% they will not suspend Curry.
Posted by: The Dude | June 17, 2016 at 01:05 AM
Lol didn't you predict a Cavs sweep of Toronto and a Cavs in six for the finals? And I can't wait to see your Ohio State will be .500 this season come to fruition.
Give me a break.
I wrote that before Green got suspended, Bogut got hurt and Iguadala got hobbled.
Not to mention the worst officiating I've ever seen against a superstar last night.
Can you imagine LeBron, Jordan, Magic or Kobe getting called for some of those fouls they whistled on Curry last night?
Child please.
LeBron is again playing at another level. He's better than anyone who's laced them up ever imo. He singlehandedly carried them last night, it was amazing to watch.
Regardless GS is going to go home and win it and break Cleveland's heart again, which is fine with me.
Looking forward to it.
Posted by: Go Canes! | June 17, 2016 at 07:26 AM
Was that game 7 last night?
The Cavs are knocking on the door because of three reasons. The greatest player in the world decided to man up and put the game on his shoulders, Kyrie got hot for the last 2 games, and the splash brothers are playing like the gash brothers.
Nothing complicated.
Historically, the odds still are against the Cavs.
