Some people want to talk about sports on a sports blog.
Some people want to talk about race wars on a sports blog.
Some people are dumb, some are stupid and some are just idiots.
Either way I don't care.
Disrespecting your Country for your own racial agenda is dumb.
Using a private sports blog to talk about racial issues is stupid.
Spewing selfish hatred anywhere at anytime is just plain idiotic.
Either way I don't care.
In the middle of football season some of you dumb, stupid and idiotic people decided you wanted to ruin a good thing on a good sports blog. Well that's fine by me, you now have a three totally FREE choices:
- Attend the games
- Tailgate at E5
- Or just move right along to another site
Either way I don't care.
So get comfy, then snuggle up with your favorite haters and try to get warm.
It's going to be a long, hard, cold Winter.
Either way I don't care.
I have way better things to do with my time.
I am going to choose to love life and my Miami Hurricanes.
So goodbye Canespace, it has been good to know you.
We win and it won't be close.
The only way it's close is if Kayaa craps the bed and/or our freshmen trio of linebackers make too many over-aggressive, over-pursue mistakes.
I challenge anyone to find a player on App that we would have even recruited. Just one.
So the talent level isn't even comparable, so what's left is coaching. Last year I'd be worried. But it's not last year.
Why should it be close again?

Posted by: thirstybuzzardcane | September 15, 2016 at 03:06 PM
I think it will be close and we pull away slightly at the end.

We are still very young on defense and have played glorified high school teams so far. This will be a hostile environment, the first for the youngsters. The OL has struggled in the passing game. They are a good, well coached team. Plenty of reasons this game could be close. Im going with 30-17 Miami.

A torrential monsoon downpour could effect the game on Saturday. And if the weather report is accurate, then the running game will have a mighty big influence on the outcome of the game.

Two national weather sites don't call for rain on Saturday. huh Only cloudy weather. duh

This isnt like before when I would be worried cause Golden and staff were so horrible. This isnt a worried about CMR thing... its a were young at some spots, have new scheme, OL issues etc going on the road against a tough, experienced team. I believe we win (i actually bet on it), but I think it could be close for a while.
Posted by: UMike | September 15, 2016 at 04:13 PM
Actually, we have veterans on defense. The only position we're young at is linebacker.
Posted by: thirstybuzzardcane | September 15, 2016 at 04:20 PM
TBC, good point. But D. Jackson, Bethel, Redwine, etc are all young also. With this run heavy offense the LB's are important, so their youth could be an issue.

That's actually the best argument for a closer game. App state has to hope for this: transition pains to new schemes, coaches, getting the old losing culture out, etc.
I just think/hope that the team is onboard and the transition is complete. Even with these issues we should still outmuscle out-talent them. It would have to be a perfect storm of all of the above, adding a bad Kayaa game, and bad/inexperience issues on defense, for them to even have a chance.
I just think we click enough overall that it won't be close.

Damn I wish my youth was an issue

Agree, at least Appalachian State is a run heavy team. It will be easier for our young LB's to defend....If they just react and kill we'll be fine!
Posted by: thirstybuzzardcane | September 15, 2016 at 05:17 PM
Old Skool and Native: I always thought the old saying "youth is wasted on the young" was just some old fuddy-duddy babble nonsense. I know realize how true that is.

Ask my kids what my favorite saying is and that's the one they'll tell you.
They have no idea what they have.
Man just getting out of bed with nothing hurting is something I'd love to go back to.

Weather will be good, partly sunny. I believe they have a turf field. Only 2 hours away from me. Stadium seats about 30k and they brought in more bleachers. The first big time team to ever play football their, unless u count maybe wake forest. They'll be crammed in there like sardines. It's a good thing we are playing them instead of November, it snows a ton there in the mountains. The herb sees kaaya having to earn his keep this week, 27-14.

Jeeeez I leave for a couple days and u you damn near burn the place down. This is why we can't have nice things.

We will learn a lot about Kaaya and the rest of the Canes on Saturday. From watching the Canes play, I think they are pretty strong up front and they are well coached and prepared. The skill positions are all very talented, but thin. I think the Canes can match up with any team out there, but Saturday will be a test to prove that the first two games are examples of what we can expect to see for the rest of the season.

I see a good double digit win, with Berrios housin' a PR in a sort of homecoming for em'...UM 30-13.

The only way it's close is if Kayaa craps the bed.
