Some people want to talk about sports on a sports blog.
Some people want to talk about race wars on a sports blog.
Some people are dumb, some are stupid and some are just idiots.
Either way I don't care.
Disrespecting your Country for your own racial agenda is dumb.
Using a private sports blog to talk about racial issues is stupid.
Spewing selfish hatred anywhere at anytime is just plain idiotic.
Either way I don't care.
In the middle of football season some of you dumb, stupid and idiotic people decided you wanted to ruin a good thing on a good sports blog. Well that's fine by me, you now have a three totally FREE choices:
- Attend the games
- Tailgate at E5
- Or just move right along to another site
Either way I don't care.
So get comfy, then snuggle up with your favorite haters and try to get warm.
It's going to be a long, hard, cold Winter.
Either way I don't care.
I have way better things to do with my time.
I am going to choose to love life and my Miami Hurricanes.
So goodbye Canespace, it has been good to know you.
It was fun while it lasted, right?

And thanks for the kind words last night UMike, much appreciated.
Finally saw a picture of App State's stadium last night. It may be crazy for them, but I don't see us being rattled by the surroundings.
I think getting 30k in there, even in a standing room only scenario, will be very difficult to pull off.

I think they have legit reasons to feel confident. Don't get me wrong, I believe we will win, but I could surely see why they feel they can.

That Louisville QB is going to be a problem for them, big time.
Level of competition has been very suspect so far for the Cards, but man has that kid looked impressive.
Posted by: Go,GoCanes! | September 14, 2016 at 09:55 AM
We ain't losing to a team that plays in a high school stadium with a track around it.
They have zero reason to think they can win.
Should we lose to them, shame on on us.

5 things I loved about our Canes win over FAU this past Saturday: 1. WR Run Blocking 2. Defense was outstanding 3. Offensive Line Run Blocking was good 4. Special Teams was good 5. Good in game coaching adjustments.
5 Things I hated about our Canes win against FAU: 1. 4/11 for 36% on 3rd downs is awful.(we should be going something like 7/11 on 3rd downs). 2. BK15 was very bad completing less than 60% of his passes throwing for under 200 yards and 2 INT's inexcusable,(BK15 should be throwing for around 70% completion percentage and a 3 TD to 1 INT Percatage. So Far through 2 Games on 2 TD to 1 INT against less than stellar competition. Do Better BK15. 3. Offensive Live Pass Protection was putrid. 4. Getting a FG Blocked is inexcusable 5. 9 Penalties for 90 yards is very bad and inexcusable. Better correct these situations pronto. Go Canes Beat the Moutaineers.

Lurker, I respectfully disagree. They have plenty of reasons to think they will win. I do not think so, but they certaunlt have reason to think so.

They have every right to believe they can win. They play hard, have talent and have done it before.
Actually doing it is another matter altogether.

Hurricanes - 3 1/2
The Vegas line hasn't changed since it opened at - 3 1/2. Very interesting indeed. huh

I think any underdog has a chance; this team has a lot of confidence and have been successful in Michigan, had a shot against UT.
We cannot walk in there like we have done so many times since 2003. Stomping on Lville logo, getting crushed by UVA at the OB, Clemson FSU, UNC disasters, etc.....just thinking showing up wins the game does not work. How many times I have seen us roll into cold, inclimate weather in Bburg....and get beat...too many.
I really sense a difference from Clapster, Onionhead and AlPa. They never had control, a feel for the pulse of the team, or any understanding of fundamental football.....all 3 were terrible at these things. CMR is different, along with the staff. I think it will be a challenge, and i think we can win in a good game. We can dominate if we do things right.
My Keys
Run the ball as we have been. The line has got to pick their feet up, low hard clean fast blocking. Hit and stick with block. Backs keep running north south. Establish run with Walton, Yearby then get TEs WRs the ball..keep mixing run in...get the backs the ball in the air as well. Line...protect BK, keep him clean. BK...loosen up relax play calm...vision...see yourself suceeding.
D has been great...these guys want to run it. Stop that run; TFL, be in backfield, tackles jam that center area up....ends protect flank but stay on them...up on that ball and moving. Young Gun LBs keep at it...tackle them hard! Stop run...then make them have to do what they do not want to do...PASS. DBs smother them, man coverage. Line pressure pressure sack hit hurt that QB! LBs be ready for the dump stuff...tackle those guys hard...Tatumize them!
ST need be smart and sharp....kick coverage flying but under control in lanes. Returns...set that table!
finally....no foolish penalties and no TOs..but get picks and fumbles.
We can win if we execute fundamental, enthusiastic solid football. I am leaving for my moms now.....Go Canes!!

Agree or disagree. Makes no difference.
Canes have been soft for over ten years. I guess it rubs off.
Super soft to give them any respect. F' em. They're basically a d-2 team and I'm not throwing any respect their way. They're delusional hillbillies.

Great post.
I think the poor 3rd down conversion % is a result of Richt being a little too pass happy on first down. I understand you need to mix it up, but I think passing on first down is much more potent after the run has been established with playaction.

Was listening to the story on Huell. According to Big O, the police report states he dragged a guy he found hiding in a closet with his girl.
If that's all it is, I dont think its a big deal. Quite frankly, for a 17/18 years old to only do that, is pretty impressive in itself.

The Dewan Huell thing is not good, he made a mistake, but it's not the end of the world either. He just has to learn to step back and think. No gf or ex-gf is worth getting arrested over. He'll learn.
I'm thinking a couple of games at the start of the year. Those are cupcakes anyway.

APP State - 17

If you think about it, Orlando makes the most sense:
1. Plenty of hotel rooms
2. Built-in family appeal and attractions
3. Easy in/out - lots of direct flights. Economical
4. Overall has the best potential for drawing larger crowds than Tampa, Jax, Atlanta
The other possibility is Hard Rock.
I don't see them going north.
They have to come south. Unless anyone can think of any others, these of the candidates:
Atlanta
Jacksonville
Orlando
Miami
Tampa
Any others?
