This is a no brainer for FAU. They won't find a better candidate. Very much hope Scott gets it, he's a class act and a fine coach.
Feldman: Am told #Vols asst Larry Scott, the former #Miami interim HC, is a solid candidate for the #FAU coaching vacancy.

^Couldn't come up with a rhyme for orange? Weak. ; )

What I mean is, I want specifics. I hated that there was no retrospect on Shannon's tenure back in 2010. No postmortem of what went wrong.
If Youngblood says that Shannon ruined careers then he should cite specifics. Was it him? Shields? James? How did he ruin them?

The ACC’s coaches recognized something some of the conference’s media members did not: Corn Elder as a worthy first-team All-ACC pick.
Elder, who was left off the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association’s first team, made the cut of the coaches, whose voting was released Thursday. He is Miami’s only first-teamer.
Wide receiver Ahmmon Richards finished tied for third in overall rookie of the year and second in offensive rookie of the year. Linebacker Shaq Quarterman and defensive end Joe Jackson were two of three players who were tied for second in defensive rookie of the year.
Miami’s second-team selections: right guard Danny Isidora and punter Justin Vogel.
Third-team: Richards, Quarterman, wide receiver Stacy Coley, running back Mark Walton, defensive tackle Kendrick Norton — left off the media’s list entirely — and kicker Michael Badgley.
The Hurricanes had no coaches’ honorable mention selections.

Im surprised with the lack of love Elder is getting from the draft "experts". IMO played light years ahead of Burns who was a 1st rounder.
Posted by: UMike | December 09, 2016 at 07:16 AM
Think ABs combo of length and speed made him a better NFL prospect.

SOOOOOO,ANYTHING WHERE TO PARK AT THE BOWL GAME YET?
Posted by: canezilla | December 08, 2016 at 03:42 PM
******************************
Canezilla, I am still looking into this. I need to get with Happy Soup and KY to see how they wish to proceed. Finding tickets to park is expensive. I know there are a lot of businesses that sell spots for cheaper then what you can get on-line and I am looking into that as well.

Wait until his Pro day and combine, UMike. They're gonna like him a lot more.
Posted by: Ohio_Cane | December 09, 2016 at 09:02 AM
canezilla, one option is to tailgate on the rooftop of the Geico garage (next to Amway arena) and then take shuttle to the bowl game. The shuttle pick up will be at the corner where the parking garage is located.

Tweed from CIS says Jerry Jeudy is on campus on an OV RIGHT NOW. Which means he basically snuck behind Saban's back to take it, because as of yesterday, he wasn't coming.
This is great and strange at the same time.

Ariz on Jeudy being on campus:
The cat is out of the bag.
This is why we can't have nice things.
But yes

This is the type of recruiting win that would stop the elite kids from tugging Miami around. This would be absolutely massive.

Wow. Jeudy on campus is huge news! For those that havent seen him, he's a 5* burner thats very similar to Richards. The kind of kid we should get every year.

Posted by: The Dude | December 09, 2016 at 10:53 AM
Dude...its been a while since Ive been able to be a "nancy" about recruiting, so figured what the hell! lol... I do not think we flip him though. I think we came on to late (no fault of the staff) and Bama is just to much. About to win another title...we will get ours, just dont think we flip Jeudy
Posted by: UMike | December 09, 2016 at 10:55 AM
Jeudy is the #1 WR in the country.
Posted by: Ohio_Cane | December 09, 2016 at 10:56 AM
We've been behind for a WHILE now...
When Alabama was closing the deal on Calvin Ridley and Shawn Burgess-Becker in the 2015 class, Crimson Tide coaches were laying the ground work on another receiver they felt could be special.
That was Jerry Jeudy, who was getting ready to play his sophomore season at Monarch High School in south Florida behind Ridley and Burgess-Becker. He earned an offer before then and, a year after transferring to Deerfield Beach to play for coach Jevon Glenn, he committed to Alabama.
http://www.al.com/alabamafootball/index.ssf/2016/07/alabama_commit_jerry_jeudy_a_o.html
Posted by: UMike | December 09, 2016 at 10:57 AM
^^^ Florida's Friday Night Lights made a big impression, as did Mark Richt's Miami Paradise Camp. But Jeudy had been to Alabama many times with Ridley and Burgess-Becker (who has since transferred).
"In the end, it was too much to overcome with the family atmosphere Alabama provided since the ninth grade," Glenn said. "Alabama was out in front from the beginning (offering after ninth grade). History was too much to overcome."
Posted by: UMike | December 09, 2016 at 10:58 AM
On campus for OV = chance
Better than having no shot.
Posted by: Ohio_Cane | December 09, 2016 at 11:01 AM
Ohio... I agree with you there. Probably more then the previous staff would of got. its just my opinion we are way to late.
Posted by: UMike | December 09, 2016 at 11:02 AM
I remember that RB Scarborough tried to OV here late and was told by Bama they'd pull his offer if he came, so the kid ditched.
Jeudy being here has to be something more than just a mini vacation since he's probably gotten similar pressure from them.
Doubt they'd pull the offer of the #1 WR in the country, but you know they can't be happy he's here.
Posted by: Go Canes! | December 09, 2016 at 11:09 AM
Honestly if there was a time for a WR to de-commit, this is it.
Bama has had so many transfers they literally have no QBs behind Hurt, who can't really throw. If he gets injured next season there will likely be a true freshman starting for the Tide. which means run, run, run and run some more.
Posted by: Go Canes! | December 09, 2016 at 11:12 AM
UMike,
You know Jeudy's little sister died recently? I wonder if that may be why he's considering staying home. Can't help but feel bad for the family.
Posted by: The Dude | December 09, 2016 at 11:24 AM
its just my opinion we are way to late.
Posted by: UMike | December 09, 2016 at 11:02 AM
Circumstances change things UMike.
Besides the passing of His little sister...you have Coley & possibly Njoku leaving...Bruce got kicked off...=s immediate playing time.
And a boring day in Miami is better than a great day in Tuscaloosa ehhhhhhhhh-nee day of the week...any day.
Weather...He can practice His craft year round.
Better QB to catch from if Kaaya comes back.
He'll flip...Bin Lyin' cries...phuck bumma.
Posted by: CaneRock | December 09, 2016 at 11:39 AM
I believe family is 100% the reason we have a real chance to keep Jeudy home.
Posted by: Ohio_Cane | December 09, 2016 at 11:39 AM
Canezilla.....I have a parking spot for you....
Posted by: raizecane | December 09, 2016 at 11:41 AM
If he leaves. ..njoku would look great in Fins gear on Sundays. ..
Posted by: Mark from Atlanta | December 09, 2016 at 12:15 PM
That tragedy could be more reason to leave... like I always say, I hope I am wrong. Just think we have a LONG uphill battle. We tend to get caught up on thee little stories and we run with it thinking hes gonna be a Cane but just wishful thinking.
CR, you make good points, but for some kids its better to be a God in Bama then just another kid in Miami. Its better to play in from of 100K every week no matter what, to play for titles every dam year etc lol
What is the deal with his sister and rest of family?
Posted by: UMike | December 09, 2016 at 12:17 PM
Ariz:
I will add this nugget that carries a ton of significance.
It's very well known at this point that Calvin Ridley and Jeudy are close. But here's the thing...a person very very close to this situation told me that Ridley has not only "given Jerry his blessing" to go to Miami, but Ridley is apparently telling Jeudy Miami is a "better situation" for him considering what his family is going through. Could be Ridley not wanting less targets in his draft year, but it is important to note nonetheless.
That could go a long way here.
