It has been ten long years since the University of Miami had won a bowl game.
The bowl win drought at Miami lasted longer than three U.S. Presidencies.
But that long drought is over and your Miami Hurricanes are winners once again.
Now it is time to crank the FUN dial to 10 and celebrate like the good old days.
Just breathe deep and relax Canes fans. Enjoy the victory for once in a while.
We are now grilling and chilling with the ACC title next up on the wish list.
Ill tell you want that Dabo has a bad temper..every time the camera gets to him , he is chewing out his players...that aint right

I worked the RAB and Citrus bowl.
Louisville fans were filing out before half down just 10.
It was one of those games where they were down 10 but it felt like 40.

What work do you do at the games?
Posted by: 1mg of Epi | December 31, 2016 at 08:28 PM
Ohio State Urban get way too many calls.....the fiesta back when....first down against Michigan, the first down at the 30...way short.
Watson is the only real QB I see in the draft....he is pretty good....even the picks...hew does not worry at all...
OSU getting their ass whipped.....kinda like Rousey....she aint so rowdy now....that girl whipped her ass...I never respected her game....bending an arm is BS....when she has to fight....not so good...gled to see her act and mouth go away...bunch of talk act...too much for me...

Clemson is going to beat Bama.
Posted by: Dude on a Pale Horse | December 31, 2016 at 08:49 PM
One of my old players looking good for Clemson #99 Clelin Ferrell, RS Frosh...he's 6'5" about 260...played on me 8th grade team...good kid very athletic...went to Benedictine College Prep HS instead of public....military Roman Catholic school....very good school. He was a beast at 13 14.....giving Urbans boys fits....very quick.....he was funny too...he loved Freddy....it shows..his footwork and technique is natural....proud of him. Talked to his Dad last week....they are great people....go Tigers!!!
Posted by: VA Cane | December 31, 2016 at 08:53 PM
I agree, Dude! Bama won't score many points in that game.
Posted by: thirstybuzzardcane | December 31, 2016 at 08:59 PM
^^^ Speaking of scoring points...
Hire Mark Helfrich.
Posted by: Dude on a Pale Horse | December 31, 2016 at 09:14 PM
How did they not call offsides on that field goal! Fuk OSU!.....they are a overrated team!
Posted by: thirstybuzzardcane | December 31, 2016 at 09:15 PM
Chip Kelly about to get axed.
Posted by: Dude on a Pale Horse | December 31, 2016 at 09:19 PM
Dude...
How about chip Kelly as our OC? That'd be a power move.

Clelin kicking OSU ass....quick as a cat. He is getting after them!!!!
Posted by: VA Cane | December 31, 2016 at 09:31 PM
I have to give it to Clemson. They are deleting a more powerful Ohio State.
I personally invite any and all 2017 Buckeye recruits to reconsider their commitments and attend the University of Miami, rather than a deleted, obsolete achool
Posted by: TonyCane | December 31, 2016 at 09:33 PM
Miami has its Brent Venables in Manny Diaz. It could have its Chad Morris in a Mark Helfrich.
Posted by: Dude on a Pale Horse | December 31, 2016 at 09:33 PM
Our D will be Clemson good if Richt can get the O on board.
Posted by: Dude on a Pale Horse | December 31, 2016 at 09:46 PM
The spread is no longer the future of college football. Its the most dominant offense in the game. Miami has to evolve. Hire Mark Helfrich. Carthago delenda est.
Posted by: Dude on a Pale Horse | December 31, 2016 at 10:13 PM
This Ohio state performance looks like a loss I think two seasons ago. One of the O players after the game ripped Meyer for being too conservatice

The chances of this happening are about the same as the chances of me showing up at your house tomorrow to fold your laundry.
About 20/80

Posted by: 1mg of Epi | December 31, 2016 at 08:28 PM
Nothing special. Just a part time gig doing grunt work in event services. Gate, usher, that type thing.
It sucks but the extra money is helpful keeping my head above water til I pass the state real estate license exam.
It also gave me a chance to watch my first live Cane game at RAB, so it aint all bad.
Posted by: TruCane81 | December 31, 2016 at 10:56 PM
Don't matter who the OC is if we don't recruit better.

Well yea this is true.

Development and game planning are superior to recruiting SHORT TERM.
Getting the most out of lesser talent anda confident, charismatic pitch is the key turning around a struggling program by getting recruits excited about building something special.
Better playcalling ( I will beat this horse ad nauseum until changes are made) would have made us THAT program right now.
It looks like it will be Chris Peterson and U dub though.

I feel good about the way the season ended for the first time in years.
Still a little sadness and regret.
Its like bagging young Nia Long when you could have had Beyonce....

Naw. Kelly Rowland when you coulda had Beyonce.
Young Nia was a bad bytch in her prime.
She still bad. Just showing a little wear and tear. Knowwhatimsayin?

How bout that end to the Noles UVA game? Wild.
Posted by: BEERicane | January 01, 2017 at 09:19 AM
Only thoughts on yesterday's game outside of the obvious is if you're Jerry Jeudy, why the hell would you go to Bama.
The starting QB is only a freshman and there's no sign he's ever going to be used as a passer, Ridley is already higher up the pecking order and he's been basically eliminated from the offense and you just lost your offensive coordinator so you have no idea what's coming next year and beyond.
Outside of rare, rare situations WR at Bama and TE at FSU is where careers go to die.
Posted by: Go Canes! | January 01, 2017 at 09:37 AM
All good points Go Canes.
Even guys that come to UM as 2 or 3* TEs (Walford & Njoku), get drafted in the top half of the draft.
Hell, even guys that didn't come to UM to play football (Graham & Swoope), get drafted, or make somebody's roster some type of way.
Posted by: CaneRock | January 01, 2017 at 11:33 AM
Then what the hell is going on? Why dont we have 4 & 5 star TEs knocking down our door?

UM isn't sexy anymore. High school seniors today have no memory of Miami as anything other than a second rate program.
Posted by: 1mg of Epi | January 01, 2017 at 12:53 PM
I can understand Harley not coming but not Jeudy!
Jeudy's mind set should have been... I'm not going to UM as long as Golden and Co are still there but I'll go if they hire a good staff.
Harley was invited to Paradise Camp and was the best WR there according to multiple people and still didn't get a offer!
Posted by: WWIN | January 01, 2017 at 01:09 PM
And the last 12 years we are average at best, to many coaching changes, can't even win the coastal division, etc, etc!
Posted by: Herbieibis | January 01, 2017 at 01:11 PM
1mg... you right! And actually I think these kids think it's cool to burn UM and play the game with em!

Richards is a very special player. Richards will continue to strike fear in defenses and draw double teams going into next season.
I am anxious to see how Mullins has developed and will perform. I thought Mullins, Richards and Bruce were the best receivers in one class for the entire country, getting the best from Miami-DADE, Broward and Palm Beach Counties in one recruiting class. They were all big time playmakers in high school, and Richards did not disappoint. Bruce is gone, but Mullins is still here. If he picks up the playbook, he will make some plays for the Canes next season

Seems like it. Only way that changes is to win. A nasty D will help our image too.

I think people think regardless of the U, I am going to places to where I can play for titles. Bama, OSU, Clemson, FSU....and even lower programs like Washington, OK, Ok State, USC.....they have some kind of relevancy.....
when we died....after the Fiesta....(well it was several years into clappys regime...for me 2003 fiesta....) we died big....we fell off the map...we sucked...then RS burned so many bridges with his bad rep as a person...hateful resentful behavior....that killed FL....then AlPa came in and destroyed things....the program is unknown...these kids have no idea about 2001 team and others.....and do not care...in their minds little u is like USF, FIU, FAU.....just another average team in FL not big time...who has no cred with winning...hopefully CMR and the team improves our image...i would think so....i look forward to better recruiting and a good 2017.
