Dude on a Pale Horse

UW can catch Bama napping.

Dude on a Pale Horse

No better exploiter of weakness in America than Petersen.

UMike

I understand the SEC hate... but Bama is gonna smoke em smh

Cane Since 1982

1st: Hi Everyone.

2nd: Does anyone have an inside scoop on Kaaya?

3rd: Has anyone else noticed that in the media they now say bowl games are worthless and they down play bowls. This just coincidently coincides with the SEC absolutely sucking. Every article on ESPN that talks about a game in which the ACC has won is all about how the other team lost it. The article following the Miami game only talks about how the BIG XII defenses must be really horrible and their offenses not as strong as everyone thought. They give slight mention to Miami's D and Kaaya's last 2 and 1/3rd quarters, but no real credit to how Miami was a damn good team. The only person that has said that was WVU's head coach before the game who pointed out how close we were to being a 11-1 team prior to the bowl game.

In all I'm wondering what peoples thoughts are on the sports media's bias.

4. Got a new dog (Bernese Mountain Dog) named Kaaya. She fits well with my Pit named Cane.

Cane Since 1982

Thought on Playoffs. Those picking Wash over Bama are nuts. Bama in a land slide. This game will be like the Canes vs. App State. Bamas Players are just bigger, faster, and more athletic.

I think OSU will beat Clemson. OSU shows up for the big games. Urban finds a way. Pains me to say that but it is proven.

With that last statement I think OSU beats Bama and I have to deal with another year of listening to my OSU friends and just biting my tongue for another year or 2 until Miami is in National Title contention again.

BEERicane

People predicting a Bama land slide that call out the media for bias are inherently hypocritical. How about all the CFB fans with Bama bias?

UW has one of the best secondaries in the nation. Allow the same yards per pass that Bama does. Have 3 beasts on the DL. Not to mention their QB play is light years ahead as is their WR JR3.

Not to mention their coach has an uncanny ability to shock the world with less talent (not sure the gap is that large this yr as he typically dealt with).

UMike

Bama bias? They prove it week in and week out, year in and year out. Of course there is a media bias for the SEC, but Bama is proven.

BEERicane

Also, dont forget turnover margin, UW is +21 while Bama is only +5. Hurts will cough it up,

Dude on a Pale Horse

No one saying Bama landslide has watched UW play.

BEERicane

They are proving it against a historically (maybe a tad exaggerated, but they are awful) SEC. I don't buy into the hype this year. Not with a turnover prone offense.

UMike

And Washington has proved it against the mighty Pac12?

UMike

And I dont want to knock UW, but Bama is a proven machine and Saban has had a couple weeks to plan. Of course I could be wrong, but I think Bama wins easily.

Kinda funny how 82 just kinda blindly stumbled into that.

3. TRUE STORY! I was wondering why all of a sudden the media started saying bowl games don't matter and they're just exhibition games for the younger players... then I thought to myself yesterday... hey wait a minute... this is all bcuz the SEC SUCKS 😂! Exhibition games for the younger players? REALLY? I've NEVER seen a bowl game where a coach didn't play his best players and didn't try to WIN... EVER!

WWIN

Even if doesn't get better BK is still the best QB on the roster.

Posted by: 1mg of Epi | December 30, 2016 at 01:43 AM

That has not been proven yet

CaneRock

UW's not the team for Bumma not to be firing on all cylinders against. Start off the game like they did against Ole Piss, it's ova.

CaneRock

And Petersen > Saban all day.

He's done more with less all His career, while Saban wins in proportion to the talent level He has...check His MSU record.

WWIN

Tony...

I've come to the conclusion that South Florida is the Best place to recruit but at the same time the HARDEST place to recruit!

Go Canes!

If Bama brings its A game AND plays a relatively error free game it won't be close.

But if UW can force some mistakes it will be a heck of a game.

Go Canes!

Posted by: WWIN | December 30, 2016 at 11:57 AM

Yes it has. Kaaya starts every game.

Ohio_Cane

Ariz on Brandon Taylor I posted about earlier:

Taylor was a 2-star football recruit coming out of Clear Brook high school in Friendswood, Texas last year, mainly due to his size of roughly 5-7, 150-pounds. When he committed to UM for track, he expressed his interest in playing football at Miami. Due to NCAA policy, Taylor was obligated to honor the first part of the track season before he can move to the football field -- which is why Taylor was not with the team this past season. He will also remain on the Miami track team.

Although his size might have scared major football programs away, Taylor showed tremendous ability as a return man in his highlights, which is certainly a role where the Canes could use an upgrade. He also played wide receiver and running back in high school.

Ohio_Cane

Man, Bama ain't napping. They're gonna win by freakin 25. Bama vs Clemson. Bama wins it all again, unfortunately.

Hope I'm wrong. I'm tired of them.

WWIN

Yes it has. Kaaya starts every game.

No sir! Gus starts over Yearby and Homer... you think he's better than them?

Bias is not out of the question. ESPN has a lot tied up with the SEC. It does not benefit them to have the hollowing out of the conference exposed to full light. But if Alabama is going to win the next eight national championships, the most predominant effect will be on other SEC programs.

Honestly, I really don't get how thirty odd bowl games are suddenly devalued significantly more by a Final 4 playoff system than they were from 1992 - 2013 by a Final 2 playoff system.

TonyCane

Posted by: CaneRock | December 30, 2016 at 12:03 PM

Agreed. In some respects is the Phil Jackson argument. Should Phil be considered the greatest coach ever because he won 11 championships, or because he had Jordan/Pippen in their primes, Shaq with Kobe in their primes prime, and Kobe with Gasol in their primes.

I give Bill Belichick far more credit for building the New England Patriots into an absolute machine despite drafting at the end of each round each year than I do with Nick Saban who has the NFL equivalent of 15 first round draft choices each year. Kuddos to Saban for getting all of those five star players, but is it an on the field coaching triumph when the talent level of the Crimson Tide is so far above everyone else (with the partial exception of Ohio State)?

Cane Since 1982

Anyone else laughing at UGA right now, looking terrible against a 6-6 TCU, BIG XII team. UGA is going to finish the year 7-6 with a bowl loss after firing Richt for only winning 9 games. While Richt gets Miami to 9 wins including its first bowl win in to years while starting 3 true freshman LBs in his first year at Miami.

I wish I was still in GA to listen to the sports talk radio shows to hear the fans now that were calling for his firing.

For your eyes only.

Tennessee opens - 3 1/2 against the CornSUCKERS.

On Wednesday of this week the line was... Tennessee - 6 1/2.

Today the line has moved further... Tennessee - 9 1/2. LOL

So who would U wager money on?

Oh. And one more thing. The Vol's are going to MOLEST that CornSucker team this afternoon!!

By the way, ESPN has a very interesting article about the line movement of the Roll Tide vs. Washington game. It seems MAJOR MONEY has dropped the line down by several points from the - 17 1/2.

30/12/17 Alabama - 14 1/2

Personally speaking I had Washington and the PLUS - 17 1/2!!

Go Canes!

Ok now is that Soup to the left of the kid making the U with Richards??

When has my man Louie Saban ALLOWED his team to ' nap ' prior to a game of great significance? Especially coaching Roll Tide Roll.

Bama wins. But it won't be a landslide win.

BEERicane

His team has taken naps DURING games though:

In hindsight, we should've dropped Allison for Eason...smh.

He wouldn't flip. We didn't choose one over the other.

AND, in the shock of the century, U've seen Allison play ZERO snaps, yet U want UGA's QB because he scored on TCU?

2017 Walter Football Mock draft (Updated 12/29/16)

https://walterfootball.com/draft2017.php

SinisterCane

^^^^^^^
Houston Texans: David Njoku, TE, Miami
Charlie Campbell has this selection posted in his mock draft, and I liked it a lot, so I chose to copy it. The Texans could use an intermediate threat, and perhaps they'll fall in love with David Njoku if he declares for the 2017 NFL Draft. Njoku's talent level is unreal, and there's a ton of hype surrounding him right now

SinisterCane

^^^^^^^^^
Jacksonville Jaguars: Brad Kaaya, QB, Miami
Brad Kaaya's stock has slipped, but he's definitely a bargain in the third round. The Jaguars could consider taking him, as they can't really bench Blake Bortles because they don't have an alternative. Drafting a quarterback who actually cares about football would be nice.

Cane Since 1982

I Njoku on the Phins. But I think we go DB with our first pick.

CaneRock

LOL...can't get nothin' past Ohio_Cane...I was just bussin' chops.

SinisterCane

My guess:

Njoku 1st rd
Coley 3nd rd
Corn 2nd rd
Kaaya 2nd rd

SOUP

It has no labels...and you take silver spoon, and light the liquid to observe the purity of the drink. Orange flame is muy malo, light blue to white es muy bueno. Watch that stuff...one only wants to drink the good stuff.

Posted by: VA Cane | December 30, 2016 at 04:05 AM

As someone who lived in Eastern Tennessee, I second VA Cane. Store bought with a label ain't moonshine. Half the time, it ain't even in bottles. Jars is cheaper.

Posted by: Old Skool | December 30, 2016 at 05:41 AM

The one from Tennessee I had at the game was in a mason jar, no label. The other two were from WV with labels

SOUP

I've got Washington beating 'Bama also.

And I have OSU over Clemson.

Just sayin...

Dude on a Pale Horse

UGA wins.

Old Skool

Nice pics. Gotta say, though, it was obvious Terrance and Native weren't there. There's no line-up of young nubiles anxious to twerk for food or pics with Spacers surrounded by cheerleaders or any other type of women in skimpy unis.

BigWindyCane1

If Njoku goes in the first round, I believe that will be three straight years for the Canes getting drafted in the first round. I think the streak will continue for years to come

SinisterCane

From 247

Should the Hurricanes pick up a commitment from Pouncey the wide receiver recruiting wouldn't stop there. InsideTheU reported on Tuesday that East Saint Louis (Ill.) High Top100 wideout Jeff Thomas has been in contact with representatives at Miami and we continue to hear some buzz that UM is more of a player in the recruitment that people think. Thomas has some academic hurdles that he will need to clear to become a full qualifier, but the door hasn't been completely shut on him gaining admission into a school like Miami. That's why the Hurricanes are involved.

Thomas is a dynamic talent that not only can stretch the field, but also make plays in traffic and run a jet sweep here and there. Illinois is the leader on the 247Sports Crystal Ball, but some think that the biggest threat to Miami right now is Louisville. The Under Armour All-American isn't expected to make a decision until sometime around Feb. 1's National Signing Day.

mi@mic@ne

did you see the pac 12 official knock the ball out of the NC qb...total cheat

I stopped reading at East Saint Louis. If you're getting a kid from ESL, you're gettin' a tough@$$ kid, I think they have the highest murder rate per capita...that's where Bryan Cox is from.

Dude on a Pale Horse

^^^ Kid can play.
