Bottom line - UM had a very high roster churn in 2009, 2010, 2013 and 2016 has played havoc with overall depth. It's really unbelievable how many attrition has taken place in the last ten years.
Just ask Rudy!!

Have to put Dorsey at the top of the list: Kaaya would come next, but was he really that much better than Steven Morris? Kaaya protected the ball better. Morris could extend a drive on occasion.
Really what're we arguing about? A degree difference either way? We haven't had a heisman caliber QB in a generation.

Lol I guess BK15 is Cannon Smith according to the Haters. U guys crack me up.

My top 3 QB's
1.) Gray Crow
2.) Gray Crow
3.) Gray Crow

I would take Morris over Kaaya. Kaaya will be out of the league real quick.....Hope he saves his money!
Posted by: thirstybuzzardcane | January 07, 2017 at 11:47 PM
I would take freshman and junior Morris over Kaaya but Morris' senior year wasn't good
Posted by: WWIN | January 08, 2017 at 12:05 AM
Yawn.
Posted by: Dude on a Pale Horse | January 08, 2017 at 12:17 AM
Did you guys see Paul Richardson for the Seahawks? 10, 10, 10.
Posted by: Dude on a Pale Horse | January 08, 2017 at 12:26 AM
Didn't Golden make Morris play with a partially torn Achilles his senior year?
Posted by: TonyCane | January 08, 2017 at 12:29 AM
I'd pay a hefty sum to wake up and see 8:15 on the clock.
Posted by: Go Canes! | January 08, 2017 at 06:25 AM
Go...if you're gonna be up before the sun regardless, just start going to sleep at 8pm.
Posted by: 1mg of Epi | January 08, 2017 at 06:59 AM
Wish it was that easy Epi.

Drives me crazy. No matter what time I go to bed I'm up aye 5-6:00
Posted by: Go Canes! | January 08, 2017 at 07:56 AM
When u wake up at 5 take a couple Benadryl tabs and shut your eyes.
Posted by: 1mg of Epi | January 08, 2017 at 08:01 AM
Bottom line, we will never know how good Kayaa could have been under optimal circumsnstances.
Posted by: TonyCane | January 07, 2017 at 10:09 PM
True.

Yep.
Either way, he's gone and it's time to look forward.
Damn I wish Perry was an EE. Hate the thought of him perhaps being the best man for the job, but missing that all important practice time holds him back.

According to ESPN, the ACC is the best football conference this season by far

Clemson puts a big, fat exclamation point on that tomorrow night by beating Bama.
Which reminds me that Epi is a big, fat jerk.

Posted by: Go Canes! | January 08, 2017 at 09:22 AM
Wrong again!!
EVERYBODY knows that big fat jerks are 10 times more likely to be insomniacs. Everybody also knows only nice guys sleep like baby's.
Ergo....

Go CANEZ and God bless Weldon and Perry!!!!!

Little known fact:
Brad Kaaya sleeps 10-12 hours daily. Ken Dorsey, 4-5.
Draw your own conclusions.
Posted by: Go Canes! | January 08, 2017 at 12:23 PM
Kaaya threw to 2 NFL type WR's and a potential 1st RD TE and still went 8-4
Posted by: SinisterCane | January 08, 2017 at 12:32 PM
Kaaya is gone.
Posted by: trianglecane | January 08, 2017 at 12:34 PM
Someone text me when the blog is done with Kaaya.

Posted by: SinisterCane | January 08, 2017 at 12:32 PM
Yeah its really sad how those three struggled this year.
Oh wait...
Posted by: Go Canes! | January 08, 2017 at 01:00 PM
Bottom line Kaaya was good.
Bottom line Kaaya was not part of team that one a lot of games.
Bottom line Kaaya did not do enough to make us better regardless of his circumstances.
Bottom line Kaaya is gone so lets attack each other's opinion on who da starter gunna be.

However we can probably agree ice water is awesome.
Posted by: HillViewCane | January 07, 2017 at 07:14 PM
I agree 100% with this statement.

Now is it water with ice or ice water?
Posted by: Go Canes! | January 08, 2017 at 01:56 PM
Not the best but top 10 approximately. People have been acting like Kaaya is a bum...not that he could do better but that he is a bum. That's just not true.
Posted by: HillViewCane | January 07, 2017 at 07:21 PM
Only very few have acted like Kaaya is King or a bum. He was neither. I think most would agree that he was an average QB maybe 20-30 ranking each year he was QB at UM.
Nobody has or is going to take the time to go back and research who were the top 10 the last 3 years but suffice it to say that Kaaya was not among them.
Now moving on...
Posted by: SOUP | January 08, 2017 at 01:57 PM
Fins pissed away a golden opportunity to get back into that game.

Alright nobody text him. Let's see how long we can be free of his toxic vitriol.
Posted by: 1mg of Epi | January 08, 2017 at 03:00 PM
Kaaya played like the QB of a team that went 8-4 in the regular season and won a bowl game.
There is nothing else to be said. There is nothing else to argue. He's an 8-4 guy.

Good teams really expose how shitty the Dolphins are!
Posted by: thirstybuzzardcane | January 08, 2017 at 03:07 PM
Yes, Kaaya is gone, and so is Dorsey, but it still is good to reflect on them. Just for jawboning, my vote has always been the great Ken Dorsey, brilliant, and such a leader. Miss his arm and throwing ability so much.

Unless we make a pat against FSU or our D holds the lead against the Irish.
Then he's could have been a 10-2 guy.

Funny thing is, just as some did with Kaaya, lots of folks wanted Tannehill gone. The now know that Matt Morre is not teh answer.
In sports, it's never about "is this player one of the best at his position?", the only thing that counts is "do we have someone on the team right now who is going to do better?".
And for both Tannehill and Kaaya, this season the answer has been "no". And nothing else matters ...

If he had a decent OC he could've been 12-0. If he didn't have NFL receivers he could've been 3-9.
But when it's all said and done... he's an 8-4 guy, and he proved it over several seasons.

He's just one player on a team and inside a program that has had plenty of issues in recent years, and QB play wasn't the biggest one. Not even close. Though I have hope that we can get more out of whoever replaces Kaaya, at least in terms of wins and championships.
Posted by: VfB_Cane | January 08, 2017 at 04:21 PM
I know poo one thing we need to go ahead and add our final non conference opponent and the ACC needs to release our Schedule for this season. Go Canes!

Did I say QB was the biggest problem? I didn't even say QB was a problem at all. He's an 8-4 QB. It is what it is.
Biggest problem is coaching.
