Sneaky FSU visits can do that to people lol

We're still in the running. Gotta have that visit and make it unforgettable.

Currently the correct order, and why, is;

Morris - the rings the thing it's all about even if it's not a revenue sport.

Jim 'The Pimp' Larranaga - Usually a sole Final Four appearance as the best you have means you got lucky along the way. Winning the ACC conference season and tournament in basketball at Miami means you obviously know what you're doing, however.

Smart Mark - those SEC titles just don't carry the weight they used to but he's still only behind by a nose from his counterpart in the other revenue sport. Even with his neopotism

I don't waste time delving into who's where in the pecking order off the medal podium, personally. But it would be more interesting than rehashing decade old football recruits coming out of high-school when they've already wrapped up their pro careers, that's for sure . . .

Good blogging again today Family.let's keep it going!

University of Miami pecking order Revenue sports for example it's a paid admission entry. 1. Jim Morris 2 National Championships, ACC Championships, etc etc. 2.Tie between Mark Richt Football Coach and Jim Larranaga Men's Basketball 4. Katie Meier Women's Basketball. Non revenue sports are 5.Amy Deem Track and Field 6. Paige Tarpaulin-Tews Women's Tennis 7. Mary Frances-Monroe Soccer 8. Patti Rizzo Golf.

If #Miami TE David Njoku (6'4 almost 250lbs) runs a sub 4.5 40 and has a 40 inch vert like he has said. He will be a 1st round pick.

Yeah lol!

If he had to sneak that tells me he's sneaking from Bama...and if he's visiting fsu randomly out of the blue that tells me we're out of the running 😔

Ohio_Cane

We're only out if he cancels his OV on the last weekend before NSD. We're not out yet. Like I said, OV has to wow him.

Mark from Atlanta

Fins need a TE....NJOKU Would look good in Fins gear on Sundays
Hate to see bellichek get his hands on him. ...

God bless you and Go Canes!

WWIN

^^^^^^^
Yeah if it happens but based on what he just did I don't think Bama will let him come

Some Fans are Ridiculous. Getting Mad because Devon take Smith visited FSU. If he wants to be a cane, then he'll be one. Good Gawd

Who was mad? You better off lurking jackass!

BigWindyCane1

Great article. The Canes can establish themselves as a tournament team by winning games like this that they should win. Coach L is winning without a true pure point guard but has them playing hard, hustling on D and learning how to play with each other. It's interesting to see how Coach L, the teacher, is putting together a tournament team that could be interesting if they continue to develop

BigWindyCane1

Some are projecting Njoku as a first round NFL draft pick. If so, that could be the third straight year of Canes being drafted in the first round

Coolmac758

WWIN, I wasn't really talking about no one here, but looks like you're upset about it also, you and The Dude or Whatever that name is. Talk are actually gator fans, and I know tall personally

Go Canes!

Is it just me or do things overall seem pretty quiet recruiting wise?

Other than a couple of lingering receivers are we pretty much done?

This is where Ohio assures us we have some top end silent commits :)

I was really impressed by Bandy's remarks, that young man is going places.

UMike

I'm up at 4:00 every morning, start work at 5;00

Go Canes!

Nice page Tom. Hope business is good for you!

Go Canes!

'm 100% sure we do have some top end silent commits UMike. Just wondering if there is anything else in store for us.

Yeah if it happens but based on what he just did I don't think Bama will let him come

WWIN...unless Smith's a silent to Bumma, why would He seek Saban's "permission" to OV?

Well... We do. Thomas Brown said those exact words on Joe Rose's show last week. I said we had 2 even before he said that. It is what it is. Kids commit to hold a spot but still want their time in the bright lights to make their announcement. McFarland is one, and supposedly Pouncey is another.

Ariz:

Jovani Haskins
Good sign with Haskins is that he was at the opening team meeting of the semester last night. Looks like he will be back with the team unless something changes.

I'm not sure if the other rumored transfers were at the meeting, but I keep hearing that Courtel Jenkins is "back and forth" on if he will return, and Gus is still most likely gone.

Go Canes!

That kid should stay. If he's as talented as previously thought, he should get a good amount of PT. If he can stay out of the doghouse he appears to be in.

Isn't this the hope of every fan base not satisfied with their class?

Go Canes!

Posted by: 1mg Of Epi | January 18, 2017 at 09:38 AM

I'm only sure cause our coach said it. And aside from a WR and an OL, I'm pretty satisfied with what we have on campus and on the way.

Ohio_Cane

Great news if Haskins can stay. VERY athletic kid who can be a great TE

Ohio_Cane

Announcement dates for our targets. Not all of them, but these are the known ones...

Anthony McFarland Jr - 1/25
Jordan Pouncey - NSD
Jeff Thomas - "real soon" (NSD?)
Brian Edwards - NSD
Devonta Smith - NSD
Christopher Henderson - NSD
Mike Harley - NSD

UMike

Where does this class rank?

UMike

Jordan Pouncey - NSD
Jeff Thomas - "real soon" (NSD?)
Brian Edwards - NSD
Devonta Smith - NSD
Christopher Henderson - NSD
Mike Harley - NSD

Posted by: Ohio_Cane | January 18, 2017 at 09:48 AM

Either going to be a good NSD, or we're gonna pull a Golden and get left at the alter on TV all dam day lol

Outstanding Soup

WWIN

Saying you have silent's is a safe out...if they don't commit you can always SAY they told you different.

Go Canes!

Posted by: 1mg Of Epi | January 18, 2017 at 09:50 AM

I think someone posted 12-15.

I'd assume if we hit on the two or three guys everyone's floating out there we end up 10-12?

WWIN

As close to 10 as possible works for me. I'm not really expecting top 5 monster type classes until the wins are the equivalent to the talent.

Ohio_Cane

My opinion as of today (This will prob change):

Jordan Pouncey - NSD - Miami
Jeff Thomas - "real soon" (NSD?) - Miami
Brian Edwards - NSD - UF
Devonta Smith - NSD - Bama
Christopher Henderson - NSD - UF
Mike Harley - NSD - WVU

Ohio_Cane

Staff Travels - 1/18

Hartley - Las Vegas:

- 2018 TE Brevin Jordan
- 2018 QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson

Mark Richt and Kool - St Louis:

- 2017 WR Jeff Thomas
- 2018 DE/DT Ronnie Perkins (possibly)
- 2018 DT Michael Thompson (possibly)

Searels - Georgia:

- 2017 OL Zalontae Hillery

UMike

I thought Devonta Smith was a sure Flip

Ohio_Cane

He could, UMike. Just not confident yet. OV will be HUGE for us
