Sean Allison told the Miami Herald late Tuesday morning, about two hours after the younger Allison met with UM coach Mark Richt to tell him his decision, that his son “is a pocket passer, just like Mark said,’’ but that he believes the Hurricanes are heading to a more dual-threat, running-type quarterback system.

“He loves Miami. We all love Miami, but the whole direction of the program is they want a running quarterback – a dual-threat quarterback,’’ Allison’s father said. “They want a different wrinkle in their offense.

If i told you that Terrance has MORE UM gear than the UM bookstore and All Canes COMBINED would U believe me?

Well U should!

There are days when deciding which UM gear to put on takes him about 30 minutes prep time and a series of questions we have to answer. Life with TSully ain't neva EZ but it ain't neva dull either!

This article puts the Allison transfer in perspective: If it seems like high-profile quarterback recruits transfer at an unusually high rate, well, it’s because they do. Using 247Sports’ composite rankings, FOX Sports researched the careers of every Top 50 quarterback recruit that signed from 2011-14.

TOP 50 QB RECRUITS, 2011-14
Stars Transferred Started early* Stayed anyway
4/5-star 46.9 % 33.3 % 28.1 %
3-star 52.9 % 12.5 % 33.7 %
TOTAL 50 % 22.5 % 31 %
Top 50 based on 247Sports Composite rankings
* — started early = first or second season of eligibility
Numbers don’t add up to 100 % because some early starters also transferred.

Exactly half — 100 of 200 — transferred from their original school.

Which means there’s a 1-in-2 chance Gatorade Player of the Year Tate Martell will leave Ohio State roughly halfway through his time there. It’s 50-50 whether five-star Texas A&M early enrollee Kellen Mond finishes his career in College Station. (Aggies fans are conditioned at this point to seeing touted quarterbacks transfer.)

Good stuff Windy. Outside of special teams QB is the only position in football where 3-4 guys don't see action every game.

If you get beat out you're riding the pines all game, every game, perhaps permanently. A lot of them simply don't have any other choice.

SinisterCane

N'kosi's Head Coach

“Will he be ready? I think he’s definitely going to be ready, there’s no question about that,” Farmer said. “He’s a kid that can play, is a leader. He’s a kid that you’ll find out he has a lot of skills at that quarterback position. He can do the RPO’s (run pass option), his decision making is outstanding. He knows how to read a defense. He throws the ball, is so relaxed. It’s something that I can describe as it’s like it’s something he’s been doing all his life, like learning to walk.”

Perry currently weighs 204 pounds, but it’s a strong 204.

“He’s benching 275 right now,” Farmer said. “He’s put on weight and he’s strong, stronger than people think.”

Since his team’s season ended Farmer says he sees Perry continuing to make big strides.

“Oh, yeah, just looking at him throwing the ball now he’s gotten better,” Farmer said. “He’s been doing a lot of throwing, is out there practicing as if it’s a game. He’s doing all the things he has to in order to get better.”

CoCane

In that pic compared to Winston. Perry looks 6'3-6'4 190-195.

YES! Some players are practice players and some players are game players... So just bcuz a player is not producing at practice does NOT mean he won't produce in the game.

I agree, He looks more like 185-190 in that pic.

But IDGAD how much He weighs, If He plays, long as He's big enough to throw bombs to Thomas, He'd be big enough for me.

Facts. Just be ready to play.

Go Canes!

Lamar Jackson survived all of last year running all over the place and he's basically a stick figure.

All kidding aside, his weight worries me much less than his inexperience.

Yes indeed.....but in addition to the on air personalities getting cut, they need to let go of program directors too or whoever comes up with content. The 6 PM programs is awful. They just plain suck

ESPN lost me long ago...

everyone thinks they are a sports psychologist. They want to know what Brady thinks Manning thinks when Manning says Brady is like Brees. Its soap opera BS, they need to get to in depth tactics and strategy. Stop trying to appeal to casual fans.

More of a tribute to work and strides that Colbert, who has the NFL measurables. If Colbert is selected higher, it is not a knock on Corn, who should be drafted. Malek Young, Dee Delaney and Jhavonte Dean are looking at Colbert and thinking that Rumph will get us ready for the NFL too.

If Colbert gets drafted, that could be two CBs drafted, and could help the Canes in recruiting as well.

True. Don't have to be good ALL the time. Have to be good when IT's time.
