WWIN

If only those NFL experts would have ONLY looked at the stats like you instead of what their OWN EYES were telling watching film he would have been a first round pick! Damn those game tapes!

You just WITNESSED being wrong about this... yet you still don't see it! SMH

Terrance Sullivan

Nice and I see you didn't answer my question. Nice job. At least I can apologize when I was wrong something you seem incapable of. Sad.

You missed the point! The point was... Kaaya gets credit for the 90yds AND AR gets credit for 90yds... difference being Kaaya didn't EARN credit for it, he ONLY threw it 2yds... AR did ALL THE WORK!

WWIN

What question... I'll gladly answer any question? You never answered mine!

When was I WRONG about this? Take off your orange and green shades and you would see that Kaaya was a AVERAGE QB!

WWIN

Posted by: Dude | August 16, 2017 at 11:48 PM

He played bad vs FAMU and FAU to start this season... TWO CUPCAKES!!! FAMU and FAU!

We'll still when the coastal with games to spare! Just think if we had just a LITTLE QB mobility last year 🤔

Dude

Mobility wasnt the issue, if anything mobility would have been worse. Mobility turns a 4 yard sack into an 8 yard sack. Miami's biggest issue in 2016 was the OC.

WWIN

^^^^^^^
Never heard of that before... new one on me!

This is why A perfect example of Tebows career! I always thought the guy was trash. When you have Harvin and Hernandez of course your going to have good stats.

thirstybuzzardcane

The NFL exposed how bad Tebow really was!

thirstybuzzardcane

If Kaaya had mobility, we only lose 1 game last year!

thirstybuzzardcane

That loss is VT by the way

Terrance Sullivan

Lol WWIN you made my point again yes he played bad against FAMU and FAU I think only had like 4 touchdowns. So he had 23 touchdowns against better competition. Thank you.

Terrance Sullivan

BK through first two games against FAMU and FAU he had roughly 300 yards passing with 4 TD's and 2 INT's awful. Remaining 11 Games over 3,200 yards and 23 TD's and 5 INT's against better competition any more questions lol.

OMG...IS THE GREEN LOT OPEN YET?

WWIN

Lol! I just listed the first two games because they were CUPCAKES and a junior QB who's supposed to be a 1st round pick... SHOULD NOT SUCK VS FAMU and FAU... true or false?

I could list more games... let's talk about his FINAL game here when he had a MONTH to prepare for! He threw a pass so bad that everyone thought it was deflected lol! His grade for that game was ranked like 6th or 7th on the team!

NOT ONCE in his whole time here did I feel like he could ever lead us to a comeback victory!

WWIN

According to you and his "STATS" he should have been a first round pick right???

Why was he drafted in the SIXTH ROUND??? And if Golden wasn't with the Lions he might have not been selected then!

Apparently those NFL EXPERTS feel the same way I do right? But keep talking yourself into believing whatever you want to believe if that makes you feel good! 😂😂😂😂😂😂

You know we are close when you hear from this guy..... :-)

Go Canes!

Huge. Another grossly underrated, potential future NFL player on campus..

Ariz : Miami 2017 DT signee Jon Ford has arrived on campus and moved into his dorm. I'm not sure if he's beginning to practice today

U KNOW IT!!!

Go Canes!

Dorsey went in the 7th round, Morris went undrafted.

Does that mean they weren't any good here either?'

Your argument is nonsense.

Kaaya played at an elite level going down the stretch last year and was the biggest reason we ended the way we did. Where he got drafted after that is irrelevant.

WWIN

Dorsey had NFL talent all around him! Morris had 1-2 good years here.

If a player is REALLY good based on what he did in college he'll get drafted in the 1st-3rd rounds of the draft. I STAND behind that!

Non Miami fans that Kaaya was garbage. Just one instance I was watching the game over my parents his and my moms said "y'all need another QB is he all y'all got?" I said "they have him going in the first round of the draft"... then my pops turned and looked at me and said "who said that, they couldn't have been talking about him?" 😂😂😂

Mark from Atlanta

Canes brothers good morning!
I thought this was a DL blog. ..haha

Things we feel confident in. ..Def, speed, coaches/coaching at all positions much improved. ...

On the other side. ...OL..QB...play calling TBD..

God bless you and Go Canes!

Confused Cane

Who is the kid that nobody knows getting first team QB reps this week???

thirstybuzzardcane

Kaaya was terrible under pressure.....just my opinion though.

HillViewCane

If you think Kaaya was garbage then yoi can't be reasoned with. He was Above average at his absolute worst.

WWIN

^^^^^^
Tell that to the NFL experts because apparently they didn't think too highly of him. A PUNTER was drafted before him and he was coincidentally drafted by a team that his ex head coach is employed by... but carry on sir!

nemo2002

BK? Garbage? Don't be ridiculous!
If he returned to UM for his senior year, he would have been a Heisman Trophy contender.

WWIN

Top 5 offensive players vs WVU for the bowl game for us... let's just say #15 didn't break the top 5... I'll just leave this here...

Why do you think he went with this past draft class???

WWIN

But I digress...

WE'LL BE FINE AT THE QB POSITION THIS YEAR!

SOUP

A QB named the Zodiac threw it to them.

Posted by: Terrance Sullivan | August 16, 2017 at 11:55 PM

That Zodiac kid you spoke of had talent. Quick release, strong arm, good vision, leadership. Man we could use him now.

Good question, WWIN. Either he was ill advised or he's not too smart, or both.

It's official. Freshman DT Jon Ford has been added to the #Canes roster. Congrats to him

Yeah I remember Zodiac. Killer arm. Used to live in North California.

TruCane81

1) Who was the last bad Miami starting quarterback?

2) Who was the last below average Miami starting QB?

Honestly I think whoever wins the starting job will be fine with better o-line play and OC play-calling.

Your assessment is correct. I agree 100.

TruCane81

rue WW,

Stats can be decieving, but its not really what you described. Its more 2 straight average to poor performances followed by straight dominance for 3 games. The kid was streaky. But it seemed towards the end, he was really becoming an outstanding QB. I wish he came back, no questiom that we'd win the Coastal with games to spare.

Posted by: Dude | August 16, 2017 at 11:48 PM

Damn right.

If Brad came back and Richt expanded everything we did well last year and cut out the bullshit, we would be undefeated Acc champs going to the playoffs.

This is undeniable.

We still have a grand opportunity to ride our defense and speed to new heights.

Just call competent games coach and play the guy who protects the ball.

D will be SPECIAL.

I am calling 7 defensive touchdowns.

Just protect the ball and use the ENTIRE field.

TruCane81

Here's your answer... because last year's draft class isn't as strong as this year's

TonyCane

Nice change over the last three or four years. Prior to that there were always 2-3 players who failed to qualify, some quite talented and in high need positions.

canezilla

ANYBODY FIRING UP THE OLD 12-0 BUS? OR WE JUST GOING TO PULL IT OUT THE GARAGE NEXT YEAR?

Lol. Shut up, Thirsty. Lol

Don't rain on my parade.

Fsu had some crappy qb play at that time too now.

thirstybuzzardcane

Good Point, Tru!.....😂😂😂

thirstybuzzardcane

Anyone watch Hardknocks? Can't believe Tampa traded up to the second round to get Aguayo and release him 1 year later. Probably one of the Top 10 bone headed moves in football!

BigWindyCane1

This line from the Herald article says a lot: D-line coach Craig Kuligowski, on signing day in February, said this about Ford:

“Jonathan has gained 50 pounds in a year. He has great length and is extremely physical. He was the best defensive tackle we saw live in action during the recruiting process. His upside is through the roof.’’

I trust Coach Kul's opinion. I saw Ford play in HS, and thought he was very, very good and I was happy to hear that he was coming to the U. I was surprised he was a three star prospect, because I have seen four star defensive line prospects play in HS, and Ford was as good if not better. I hope Ford puts in the work and makes an effort to live up to his potential. Coach Kul will do the rest
