Your Miami Hurricanes beat the Duke Blue Devils in convincing fashion in Durham, NC on Friday night by the score of 31-6. We are also pleased to announce that no laterals were needed during this domination of an ACC team.
As all you know, I predicted this outcome and even put it in writing right here on Canespace the day before the game.
You see I have good information that Mark Richt and his merry band of warriors have been playing it very close to the vest and hiding several key aspects of their team, game plan and play calling until they feel it is needed against better competition on the schedule.
Certainly this concept is not new or hard to believe or understand nor would it be the first time a team or coach employed this strategy going into a season.
However, in this particular case this is much richer and bit juicier from the information I have and all the indications we have seen so far.
There are 10 key factors that I believe Miami is prepared to unleash on their opponents this season. Against Duke, we saw only a two of these concepts employed but rest assured there are more coming. So watch closely Hurricane fans, the best is yet to come!

11:00pm update. It's moving away and landfall has pushed back 12 hours but I still can't see this game kicking on Saturday unless they move it up to noon or earlier. I personally hope it plays on Saturday, but not if it's gonna be a monsoon. We should know early tomorrow.

5:00 a.m. update.
Plenty of time to play the game at noon and most everyone get out of there safe. Don't see a postponement which is great.

"University administrators will meet Thursday before lunch to discuss moving the game to Noon, according to sources, both of whom believe the move will happen in the name of safety. The sooner the game is played, the sooner fans can get safely home, or back to their hotels.
The game was originally scheduled for September 16th, but was moved as Hurricane Irma made landfall in Florida.
If the move does happen, Florida State could potentially trade starting times and TV setups with Clemson, who hosts Wake Forest at Noon on ESPN 2.
Florida State has defeated Miami in each of the last seven meetings, though Miami leads the all-time series 31-30. The Hurricanes are favored by a field goal."

Kickoff being moved to 9am Saturday morning? Heard this on radio in Pensacola. Anyone else here something similar?

I know this has nothing to do with Miami's needs but I have heard that a few big time players from LSU are looking to jump ship.
On top of that, an NFL draft expert feels very strongly that De/Dr Rashard Lawrence is really hurting his draft potential by staying at LSU. The same with Arden Key. He told me these two players will lose ten of millions of dollars by staying on that team.
My question is, is a team allowed to reach out. Are those players we even have room for.
Posted by: Random Anonymous | October 05, 2017 at 09:42 AM
LSU has simply lost the ability to develop players. Lawrence has been hurt but in his limited time you can see that his form and footwork are nowhere near they should be to be considered NFL caliber. Key seems to have lost all of his technique. I could see him not even being drafted at this point. His technique is an F. His IQ is an F------

When you bring in two top flight coordinators like they have and are still continually floundering with so many blue chip players, imo it comes down to desire.
They brought in the number 2-3 class with Miles as a dead man walking and the current marble mouthed dude, which to me screams bag men.
Maybe some of these kids came solely for the money and aren't really happy there. There really isn't any other way to explain such suckage.

Should probably take a closer look at Louisiana recruits. There is a lot of talent there and I would hate to see it wasted going to such an incompetent program. I really thought Orferon was a good fit and that Canada was an awful hire. They also have nobody on the defensive staff that can develop players. Word is that players are not buying in to Orgeron's plans. A shame, because I think he is the most competent coach there.
But seriously, a third string back gets the first carry of the game??? Why???
Posted by: LSU needs help | October 05, 2017 at 10:16 AM
Supposedly a few investigators have been around Ely High asking about LSU coaches recruiting methods and who exactly was buying cars from players. Might be an investigation going on. Either way, We should see any purple and gold polos around sofla for awhile

F*ck LSU. Hopefully their struggles keep their slimey racist fingers out of South Florida recruiting.
Posted by: Dude on a Pale Horse | October 05, 2017 at 10:28 AM
Per Wall Street Journal 2017 rankings, LSU is ranked 443 nationally in academics while Miami is ranked 44 nationally. Why would anyone go to LSU? Your degree is worthless if you don't make the NFL
Posted by: F**** LSU | October 05, 2017 at 10:35 AM
We need to worry about keeping who have on our roster and holding on to our recruiting class. Let Alabama and TCU prey on LSUlike they have been doing for the last 6 years. We have everything we need south dlorida

Doesn't look like even that will be necessary.
