Duke? So Now we are talking about Duke?
We start talking about an ACC Title and now we are talking Duke?
Duke will get squashed like a love bug on a windshield in Gainesville by the Miami Hurricanes. They will go splat and be humiliated, no glory found here.
Book it, bet it, frame it, post it, tweet it and put your videos on all of the social media platforms. The game is over before it begins.
And do NOT acted shocked by these comments. This is easy, this is child's play. We will take this game, the Coastal Division and this conference by storm.
Why am I so confident? Because there are 10 things Canes fans do not know about this team. Ten important keys not yet revealed.
There are ten secrets to their success that they have been hiding, disguising and obfuscating until now. Only three will be revealed against Duke. The rest are saved for other ACC opponents. And they are going to be effective.
Like lobster and butter. Trust me!
Why does CMR go away from what works?
The middle of the field makes us unstoppable.
He always goes away from it when we have a chance to step on their necks.

Posted by: thirstybuzzardcane | September 29, 2017 at 09:41 P
Thirsty he plays like that because he does not anticipate and control the reciever well. He gets beat but not too bad and recovers well.
He plays the recievers eyes and hands to get break ups.
He does not have the awareness and athleticism to turn those plays into picks.

Yeah Go but look where our biggest pass plays are.
We have a Ferrarri offense but CMR sleeps at the wheel for series at a time.
He is his own worst enemy in being a truly historic coach like Saban and Meyer.

Imo the biggest difference series to series was how we executed the plays being called.
When Homer went yard and Walton was getting big chunks the plays were the same ones being stuffed on other occasions. Sometimes the other team makes plays too.
CMR didn't call a great or poor game, but we scored 31 and we were a play or two away from 45.
I'll take it.
Posted by: Go Canes! | September 29, 2017 at 10:42 PM
Disagree Go. CMR is a liability at OC.

We've won eight in a row, with the offfense averaging 39 a game over that span.
Like I said, sometimes the other teams going to make plays. It's hard to objectively criticize 40 per.

We had a good game on the road.
What we want to see is more complete performances, especially when teams cannot match up with us.
When CMR uses the middle of the field, we score like an unstoppable top 5 offense.
Then he abandons it until we get in trouble then bam.... instant touchdown.
We need top play inside out first.
Teams are keying Mark now. We can beat ANYBODY with the use of play action and quick passing IN THE MIDDLE ON FIRST DOWN!
WE CAN BEAT ANYBODY.
Only the most elite secondaries can compete with us and if they dont press, forget it!
CMR is very very good. We are a different club now.
But he has been on the edge of cfb immortality and wont grab it by the horns.
Posted by: TruCane81 | September 29, 2017 at 11:44 PM
Great positive energy. U Canes have the winning force.
GO CANES!!
Posted by: PapaCane | September 29, 2017 at 11:45 PM
And damn this talk about us not having a championship team.
If it aint Cclemson or Bama, it aint shit.
The other teams got deficiencies like us.
Bama and clemson aint exactly the greatest show on turf. They can be had.
We just need more complete coaching than what we have shown thus far.
Posted by: TruCane81 | September 29, 2017 at 11:48 PM
Secondary was clutch when it mattered and broke up many near completions.
Dline is as advertised against the pass. Would like to see more domination at dt versus the run though.
Overall, d played fast and aware and looked more like the unit we expect.
6 points to a Ccutcliffe squad on the road is good stuff.
Really excellent stuff.
Posted by: TruCane81 | September 29, 2017 at 11:52 PM
Compared to what I've seen with Coker, Shannon, and Golden. CMR is doing a splendid job. The demeanor and body language has so much more positive and winning energy. You can tell the kids believe they can win again. C'mon look how CMR has Rosier looking. He's a legitimate passing and running threat. The defense is looking like the Canes use to be. We are definitely headed in the winning direction.
GO CANES!!

Dude's takeaways:
1. Rosier is good enough to beat FSU, but so was Kaaya in my opinion.
2. Miami has players again. There were times when I just said "gone" after seeing certain players in space. Walton And Richards should both be 1st round picks.
3. I am not concerned about and coaching staff member at this time, other than maybe Searles.
4. Mark Richt was the right hire. There is an air of big time program around us again.
5. The only thing this team has to do is not lay a stinker and it will get through the season with 2 or less losses, VT & FSU are the only teams on our level.
6. Good stuff by TruCane81 lately.

Not something I would say right now, but yeah, we COULD navigate through this thing undefeated, but its going to take more luck than we can reasonably expect. We need no injuries to key players, no individually bad performances, no bad calls, and maybe 1 call goes our way. But yeah, we could come up. It looks like maybe this team has 1 more step to take, finding absolute will to win. Unfortunately that's not something anyone knows, until it happens.

Posted by: thirstybuzzardcane | September 30, 2017 at 07:47 AM
D gave up a lot of plays made plays when it counted. Still room to improve. Secondary was A+ and #3 looked 100x better.
O-Line needs to improve to help Rosier. And Rosier needs to be confident in the line and not throw passes without looking for coverage. That screen could have been a pick 6.
Thought we would see Homer more. We need to find a goal line and short yardage back.
