I guarantee you entire student bodies dont go to every game. They can't get tickets because alumni and other season ticket holders use them all.

The entire student body may not go to the game, but unlike other state schools (and ND), students are given free tickets to all sporting events including football. During late 90s we could collect tickets at the University Center for free with our 'cane card. Now the buses taking the students to Hard Rock are also free. University charged a mandatory athletic event fee or some such thing and the tickets are included.

The Attendance was 56,189. The Rock Capacity is 64,900. So it was roughly 9,700 empty seats. Trust me our 56,189 was loud and proud. Inside the Rock when you have 56,000 people making noise it might as well be 80,000 because with the Canopy and the new sound system it's really loud.

I should qualify saying I am not sure how it works for basket ball now that we have an on campus arena.

It was great to see the Canespace Family yesterday at the Rock.CGNC, Canezilla, Kenny, Soup, and KYCane we are Club Level Seat Level Ticket Holders.

Don D you are spot on.

FSU student section is 16000 seats. Undreclassmen have virtually no shot of getting tickets.

Q1: How many tickets are made available to FSU students?

The FSU student ticket allotment is 16,000 tickets. All student tickets are issued on a first come, first served basis starting at 5 pm the Sunday prior to the week of each home game. Make sure you sign up for your student tickets early, only the first 16,000 will receive a ticket for each home game!

Q2: Who is eligible for a general admission student ticket?

Only currently enrolled FSU students who pay the full athletics fee in their fees and tuition for the fall semester are eligible for student tickets. Paying your fees does not guarantee you a ticket.

I might be wrong but.... I think that's how a no-huddle offense operates

I went to a big state school. The student tix were limited, but everybody went to games. People got tix.

For the big games, u get the large non student crowds. For the typical game, those seats were sold or given away. Mostly to students.

Obviously when I say everybody went to games I don't mean literally everybody. I'd be surprised tho if half the undergrads weren't there. I wouldn't be surprised if more than half were there. Heck, All the sorority/fraternities would go. Thousands right there.

Either way, the point is that significantly more students go to games elsewhere. There's just waaay more of them.

Our attendance is just fine for a school UM's size. You have to remember that this Stadium was not built with the demand for UM games in mind.

However there are a lot of factors we could think of for the attendance numbers.

The home watching experience is great. It doesn't involve driving and is cheaper

If people thought there were too nany other things to do before imagine now with cellphones for distractions and the myriad of activities that can make you feel good.

I no longer live in South Florida. However I went to games from childhood to adulthood and I have never attended a UM game which we lost. Yet if we were to lose I would prefer to experience misery alone instead of being at a game. It must be a terrible experience. For me it's a big lie to say I go to games to support the team. I go to games because the team supports me. It makes me feel great when we win. Miserable when we lose. I don't want to be miserable around other people.

It's very possible we could split the ND & VT games, end up 10-1 and still miss the ACCCG. We cannot play like we have been playing and beat both those teams. If we play how we did last year against Pitt and WV we can beat them both.

Not sure if it was mentioned but I'm pretty sure that AR82 "drop" in the end zone was a TD. We need to stay aggressive on both sides of the ball. Would be nice to see a complete game next week against s team that has always given us trouble.

๐Ÿ‘†๐Ÿ‘†๐Ÿ‘† Richards had 2 drops that should've been TD's.

Having so few students is another reason why I dont care about having an on campus stadium. Most die-hards are not students, alum, or CG res. Unlike most other schools, UM is S. Florida's team, not the city in which the school is at.

At the same time, big time bandwagon fans down here. Wish more would show up to games.

After another close call, is Miami for real?

A top 4 playoff team? No. Top 10? Probably because the defense is so good. We can lose to anyone we dont take seriously. I dont want to look past UNC, even at 1-7, but we should beat them and VT could go either way. If we can come out on top aginst VT, then the ND game hardly matters for our goals this season. Beating FSU was major because it kept this season on track. Beating VT gives us 2 games in our back pocket, we could actually drop a game later in ACC play and still be champion of the Coastal. Its all about focusing against UNC and then playing our best game this year against VT. After that, clear sailing.

UNC has 16 players out for the season. That's an unreal #. UM should roll on Saturday!

Go 'canes!!!

Good news! Richards did not reaggrevate his hamstring. Richt say he just tweaked his ankle!
