The turnover chain is all the rage all across the college football world.
The Miami Hurricanes remain the hottest team in college football.

Now the only question is: "Can the chain remain unbroken?"
We say yes. No, check that, we say a resounding HELL YES!
PREDICTION: Miami 34 - Virginia 13.
I am a big fan of Kaaya but I am so thankful he decided to leave early. MR-JR has been hot and cold this year but his coldness has not cost us a game (yet) and his hotness has pulled out some miracle like wins.
We will be 11-0 going into the Clemson game. I then think we meet Whiskey in the final 4 and then take it home with a win over Bama.

How this for a corroborating witness... Ronald Darby
Darby released a statement Sunday, two days after the NFL confirmed it was investigating the female Uber driver's allegation that Winston groped her.
"I felt the need to come forward and clarify some inaccurate accounts of the evening of March 13, 2016 when myself, a friend and Jameis Winston took an Uber ride in Arizona," Darby said in his statement. "There were three of us in the car, not just one as has been reported. Myself and Jameis were in the backseat. I am confident that nothing inappropriate in nature happened in the car that evening and Jameis did not have any physical contact with the Uber driver. The accusations are just not true.
You remember Ronald Darby ... He was the one who erased the video he shot of the encounter between Winston and the woman he allegedly raped.

ABC Up Massive 104% in Noon Window; Miami Continues To Tune In for the Hurricanes
ABC saw its ratings for the noon window increase by a massive 104% year-over-year, as Virginia at Miami (noon, ABC) earned a 2.7 overnight, one of the top 3 highest-rated games of the week across all networks. The local rating for Hurricanes’ come-from-behind victory in Miami was a 9.0, the best in the market for a non-primetime game this season.
Posted by: Go Canes!! | November 19, 2017 at 10:55 AM
My mistake. That was Chris Casher who video taped the act. Darby was with Casher as they peeped through the bedroom door at what was going on and was with Winston when he met the woman and took her back to the apartment.

No I don't. Probably because he didnt play bad.
He actually threw what should have been the game tying TD to Coley with the game on the line but the missed PAT stopped us from going to OT.
And again, what does Kaaya have to do with Malik completing fewer passes at a lower percentag as the season has progressed?
It's a fact, but it's fine. He has made up for it with some really fantastic, game changing runs.
Relax man, It's ok to make an observation.

Rosier has something to work on this summer - his accuracy. High powered passing offenses should have a completion percentage around 65%. 56.4 is 10th in the ACC, even Blackmon from FSU is better. Although Rosier does make some amazing throws, too Many of Rosier's throws are not at the consistent level that an ACC-caliber QB should have, and frankly, that low percentage is really all on him.
But there is a bright spot going into next season beyond the great runs Rosier has shown he can make - Lamar Jackson and John Wofford were also around 56% completions last season, and they both improved to about 60% and 65% respectively this season. If a QB works hard in the offseason, he can increase his completion percentage to an acceptable level. The receivers are getting open. It can be done. And if Rosier does increase his accuracy and consistency, the Canes WILL have a very high powered and dangerous offense.

Happy to see the third down and red zone conversions for this game. That shows progress heading into the last game and post season. With a few exceptions (such as the failed fourth down power run), there was dramatic improvement in play calling and execution in those critical situations.
I was also pleased to see the Canes once again run the ball effectively at the end of the game.
CMR didn't really call as many diverse plays and wrinkles as he showed the last two weeks. It seems a stretch but I sometimes wonder if some of this is done on purpose to force the players to develop character and faith in winning. I guess that is why I type behind a keyboard while CMR is leading this team to the CF Playoffs in his second season.
Those are traits of a championship football team.
Posted by: BigWindyCane1 | November 19, 2017 at 12:58 PM
VT is back in the coaches poll, giving the Canes two recent late-season blowout wins over top 25 teams, and Clemson only one close early-season win against one top 25 ranked team.
The Canes are also undefeated and beat an opponent (Syracuse) that beat Clemson. Message to Kirby Hocutt - The Canes deserve to be ranked higher than Clemson.
Posted by: BigWindyCane1 | November 19, 2017 at 01:15 PM
Canes ranking within the top 4 is irrelevant. The ACCCG will sort all of that out. Would you rather be ranked 2, heck even 1 and lose in the ACCCG? Or be ranked below Clemson and win? there is no point to even mentioning the ordering of the top 4, so long as we end up there. Hell, even Wisconsin need not complain because the loser of the acccg will be out and they will be in if they can close out the BIG10

I disagree. Rosier was never anything more than a stop-gap. We all know his limitations. I don't think Richt will hesitate one bit to make a change if nkosi wins out during camp.
I will say tho that depending on how the season ends, rosier may own his teammates trust, making it harder to switch.

I think if we can do that, then the sky is the limit for us. I just dont think the coaches we have here now offer enough new ways of thinking about moving the ball.

Firing Adam Gase just continues the same terrible pattern the Dolphins have been in since 2004. If you get rid of Gase, get rid
Of everyone. Tear it down to the foundations, hire a new GM and coach at the same time, trade everyone who won’t be contributing to the organization in five years, and start from scratch.
Posted by: Tonycane | November 19, 2017 at 06:02 PM
Rosier is responsible for 28 touchdowns this season, which is tied for third-most by a Miami player. In his first year as a starter, the redshirt junior has 23 passing and five rushing touchdowns.
Quarterback Vinny Testaverde, who threw for 26 and rushed for four in his Heisman Trophy 1986 campaign, holds the school mark. Steve Walsh (29 passing in 1988) and Bernie Kosar (25 passing, four rushing in 1984) are tied for second.

Miami has more impressive wins against top 25 teams. Alabama has only beat Miss. St. and LSU, while the Canes have two blowouts against top 25 teams. Clemson has a blowout early-season win against Va Tech, but the Canes had a late-season win against Va Tech, and the Canes beat Syracuse while Clemson lost to them.
Auburn and South Carolina both have a chance to pull off upsets next week, although the Canes can't take a tough, feisty Pitt team on the road for granted. If Auburn beats Alabama at home, Miami should be #1 heading into the ACC championship game.

After 4 yrs of college ball his accuracy's ain't improving with 1 more year of college ball. I said just NFL cause I want Rosier to leave
Posted by: SinisterCane | November 19, 2017 at 06:18 PM
Ok the first half looked like a microcosm of some of our previous games, in which we sucked tackling, taking bad angles, penalties and generally sleep walking through the first half. At least we finally woke up. No reason for us to look like that against The Yahoo!'s.
Rosier is no different than Aaron Judge, who strikes out or hits a homer in, Rosier is either good or he stinks with his accuracy. U would figure that he would be getting better but he hasn't. He is what he is an average qb who all he does is win. He just needs to be a game manager but some his throws are like what the fuk. I'm sure Richt knows what he has in Rosier and u have to except the good with the bad.
I hate when we play zone because somebody is always losing somebody. We know coverages have to be mixed but we look like Deno defense when we play zone. Trent Harris is better than Chad Thomas. U would think being a 5 star player this dude would be a sack artist but he isn't. Seems to me that he takes plays off. He played against The Irish.
We have to come out strong against Pitt and play 4 qts. We will probably be ranked 4th this week when the rankings come out Tuesday.
Virginia's qb was pinpoint accurate in the first half but most of the time he had all day to throw. We ain't losing to Clemson and we will have to ride Rosier in that game. Running won't be easy so he has to above average in that game with his accuracy.
It's an odd year, so we all should know what that means. The Herb can smell it.

What is everyone doing for turkey day? My boyfriend Richard, and my best friend Polly are going to a nice restaurant.
No leftovers, but no mess, cleanup etc. and buying everything for just 3 people is pretty expensive, from soup to nuts.

On short passes he tends to have a downwards trajectory - heck even I can see it LOL. When he sets his feet, moves up in the pocket and throws a deep pass it is better and a thing of beauty if not over thrown. Our receivers are making circus catches alot of the time. Not meant to be a knock on him, just what I feel I see. QB is the unique position of too much blame and too much praise sometimes in the same game.

Per PBP at CMR presser:
* Lawrence Cager, who had a 28-yard fourth-down grab against Notre Dame and a touchdown catch against Virginia, seems to be coming on. But Richt said “he can improve on his blocking, for sure.” That’s important as catching balls, Richt said.
Since CMR said it, I will follow up. I think Cager is the worst blocker among a great group of blocking WRs. I give Cager credit for picking up on his pass catching efforts, which was suspect at best early in the season. But his blocking is really pathetic. On that near pick 6 on the WR screen, it was Cager's responsibility to make that block on the CB, and he misses it. Cager tripped Homer last week on a run that should have been a touchdown. I recall several other instances where the opposing CB owned him. Cager needs to step up as a blocker.

We have a QB that cant pass and an OL that cant run block, yet we play out of our minds in the 2 biggest games of the year. Maybe I just dont understand football anymore, lol. Anyways, 10-0, best defense in CF, loving life, just beat Pitt and we had a perfect season.

No, that was Mullins, which is why he never played.

While I'm thinking of it our punter, Feagles stinks. I mean has he had a punt over 40 yds. all season. He ain't flipping no field for us.

This is how bad it is:
Mark Richt says Miami has sent some plays where they believed they were held to the ACC to try and get clarification on some non-calls. Says it's pretty typical.

Saw a stat recently where no opposing O has been called for holding against our D since very very early in the season.

You miss a bunch and make our WRs have to comeback too much. Youve been lucky that Ron Dugans is about as good a WR Coach weve had here at Miami. That said, youve been terrific with your feet in critical situations. Just beat Pitt & you and I are good to go. You still my QB.
