Probably bcuz he doesn't make The U ought to be all rainbows and sunshine? 😂

WWIN

Malek Young can't play anymore???

😢😢😢😭😭😭

Herbieibis

If we get Briggs and if he comes in at 250 to 260, if u need to play him he might as well start out at DE, otherwise he won’t have the weight to play DT until 2019, so RS him.

WWIN

Soooooooooooo sad! I hate hearing things like this!!!

WWIN

He'll be remembered for the first person to rock the "turnover chain"!

💯💯💯

His Royal Dudeness

Unreal about Young... best wishes to that young man.

1mg of Epi

Feel horrible for that kid.

The U Can’t even escape the injury bug in the offseason.

CoCane

Briggs will red shirt

Go Canes!!

Tough, tough news about Malek.

Heart goes out to that kid. Can’t imag how he must feel.

Terrance Sullivan

Malek Young get your Bachelor's and Master's degree from Miami and do your thang Young Man. Canes Family!

Herbieibis

What happened to him?

Per Pete, neck/vertebra injury.

His Royal Dudeness

^^^ He said it was injured vs. Wiscy.

Herbieibis

Dam that sucks for him. Our best cover corner and a position we are razor thin at.

His Royal Dudeness

Posted by: Herbieibis | January 20, 2018 at 10:50 PM

We are paying the price for only getting him and Bandy the last 2 cycles. Smh. We need Campbell & Surtain more than ever. I feel so bad for the kid, great kid, great player. He had an NFL future... major setback for him, and our team.

1mg of Epi

There anymore JUCO or grad transfers out there? Don’t think we can rely on Surtain and Campbell

His Royal Dudeness

There will be football in 2019.

BigWindyCane1

My heart goes out for Young. I know it has to be devastating for him, but as Rumph and Felder said, God has another plan for him. I wish him the best.

His Royal Dudeness

So much for Blades being better as a FS. He & Frierson have to be able to contribute at CB by the Fall 2018 and we need Dean to blossom also.

1. SR Jackson
2. SR Dean

3. SO Bandy

4. FR Blades
5. FR Frierson
6. FR Ivey

Hopefully 1 CB can redshirt so we are plus 1 for next years class.

His Royal Dudeness

Weird, part of my post was deleted.

I said I cant believe we have no Junior class and only 1 sophomore. Thats where the bulk of the talent should be and its just missing. Only 1 player! Thats shockingly bad.

His Royal Dudeness

Test

His Royal Dudeness

^^^ And it recognizes if a swear word was used, lol, it just ate another because I messed around with it.

His Royal Dudeness

Here's to N'kosi Perry, may he be the second coming of Andrew Luck so that we hide our many flaws in 2018. 🍻

CaneRock

^^^ He said it was injured vs. Wiscy.

Posted by: His Royal Dudeness | January 20, 2018 at 10:46 PM

Not sure, but I think it happened on the KO coverage after our first TD.

He was engaged with a Wisky player, another Wisky player blocked Carter into the back of the legs of the player Young was engaged with, they both fall, and it appears that Young fell head first. Assuming that's the play, it was just an unfortunate sequence of events...sucks.

Old Skool

New 2019 commits
TE Larry Hodges from Tampa Jesuit. I don't remember us having any players from there in a long time. Tampa Catholic but not Jesuit

DE Cameron Williams who upgraded himself from the Gators. More accurate than flipped.

Both 3 stars according to ITU/Scout

Go Canes!!

Was having dinner with a buddy last night and we agreed.

After what we've lost to graduation, early to the draft and unexpectedly to injury and transfer this offseason, hard to look our team and objectively say are Top 10 going into September.

2018 is absolutely loaded with playmakers, but they are going to be raw as hell. We'll be starting a brand new QB and losing Malek, DJ, McIntosh and Norton early really sucks.

Hopefully the obvious opportunity for immediate playing time will sway the AH corners even more.

Go Canes!!

As an addendum to that, think we can go into November a Top 10 if guys like Ford, Perry, Lingard, Jordan, Garvin and Thomas develop as we expect them to.

TonyCane

That’s what happens when you get a new coach. A lot of freshmen and sophomores on the squad when the new coach takes over either transfer or are forced off the team. Happened with Charlie Strong at Texas (he obliterated team depth his first year), happened with Al Golden as well.

TRANSLATION: I am trying to lower everyone's expectations and build in as many excuses as possible so that if we lose to LSU I have covered my azz.

PROJECTION: Just another reason to take 2018 off with many of the "fans" predicting failure and losses and such.

Wait until RCCF hears this.

Sinister...where U at?

Horsemen?

Go Canes!!

All very vailid points, If, of course, I cared even a teeny bit what your expectations are or what you think about anything.

At all.

Ever.

Under any circumstance.

Times infinity.

^^^^^^^^^

I'm here for it!

Our schedule is set up for us to run the table and everybody crying? After LSU, and they shouldn't be good, who else on the schedule should we be scared of??? We play fsu at home... then a bunch of nobody's! CMR better get it done! 😂😂😂

New QB? First of all we don't know that... secondly what did Winston and Lamar do as new QB's?

We lost our starting RB and WR last year, who were probably the best two players on the team, and still almost made the playoffs!

Go Canes!!

Somewhere, someone comfused being a Top 10 team with being able to run out our schedule.

I think we are talented and well coached enough to win our games and get to the ACC Championship, but in my opinion we won't be a Top 10 team in September.

Did you note I said afterwards we could be by November if key guys develop?

I know it's hard for some of you, but try and keep up instead of spending your days trolling, poorly.

86Cane

Is it just me or does it always seem like there is Go Canes on one side living a delusional existence and then there is everyone else on the other side living in reality?

Go Canes!!

I think it’s you and a couple of other people.

Unless you count all your sociotard buddy’s personalities, then it’s like 14.

WWIN

I believe we'll be preseason top 10.

Anyway you look at it... we should have a better roster than everyone we play except for maybe lsu and fsu

I agree and in my opinion it could be a season where we take a step back. There's a bunch of spots where we have crappy depth, or questionable talent. Outstanding QB play could hide a bunch of it so its not a great year to be starting a new left side.

Herbieibis

By The Herb’s account we have lost close to 22 players in less than a year, either to dismissal, injury, going pro or transferring. A ton of depth gone. The good news is we are recruiting well but with all these departures means a lot of guys having to play, when some would be better off Red-Shirting. We lost a ton of talent off the D-Line, we are thin at CB, that is unless we can get Campbell and Surtain or at least one of them. Numbers wise at that position we would still be down. We need to add some star power at LB.
The problem I have with Richt, is he paying to much attention to the offensive needs and not enough to the defense. I realize we need more talent on the O-line, that’s no secrets but what about the defense. I mean we have one D-Lineman signed, so far and One LB, who will probably end up playing DE.
We should be a top 10 team but that depends on the QB play. Defensively I see us taking some steps back, with the losses. Our LB’S needto play their asses off in 2018 to make up for the losses up front.

I agree to a point but thats without looking at a bunch of teams. Like if VT's *SO QB is just better than our *FR QB because their guy started a whole season last year and our's has never thrown a live ball. They could have an all senior OL & secondary for all I know.

His Royal Dudeness

Calais Campbell is gonna be ANOTHER Canes HoFer.

Terrance Sullivan

I expect our Canes to Win ACC Coastal, ACC Championship and make the playoffs. We will see what happens in December. But our 3 toughest games this year is LSU, FSU, and VT. Every other game we should be a prohibitive favorite. In those 3 games we should be marginally favored up until the ACC Championship Game against Clemson where we will be a marginal underdog. But I feel we find a way to get it done and make the playoffs. Go Canes!

Go Canes!!

Think Boston College on short rest on a Friday night is going to be a tougher game on our schedule as well.

Very good defense the last few years and Addazio had them playing good football down the stretch last year.

Go Canes!!

Scratch that!

Just looked and we have a bye leading into BC which is a big advantage.

I think most of us agree with you soup!

Now let me state an obvious question: with Young being injured does this help us with Sutain and Campbell? Let's hope

For a team that has had depth problems going back to the beginning of Al Golden's reign, it means more scholarships freed up and probably the need for another JUCO or two.

His Royal Dudeness

Posted by: TonyCane | January 21, 2018 at 05:06 PM

We dont need anymore JUCOs this cycle unless its an outstanding OT.

His Royal Dudeness

The focus needs to be DB and DL with the rest of our 8.

Allen Hurns is ballin!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
