Freshman guard Lonnie Walker IV scored a team-high 16 points to pace the University of Miami men's basketball team to a 69-57 win over Pittsburgh Wednesday night at the Watsco Center.
Walker's 16-point output marked the sixth straight game he has scored in double figures and the 10th time he has done so this year.
Joining Walker in double figures was freshman Chris Lykes, sophomore Dewan Huell and junior Anthony Lawrence II, as they finished with 13, 11 and 10 points respectively.
Lawrence also chipped in with 10 rebounds to record his first career double-double. Lykes also starred running the point for the Hurricanes, as he dished out five assists to tie a career-best.
As a team, the Hurricanes held a commanding 39-24 advantage on the boards and held a 32-24 edge in points in the paint.
With the win, Miami improved to 16-5 overall and 8-1 at home.
The Hurricanes took command early in the first half, as it led by double-digits for nearly half of the opening 20 minutes and never trailed. Miami took a 34-25 lead into the break. Sophomore DJ Vasiljevic led all Hurricane scorers with eight points, connecting on a pair 3-pointers.
Miami came out of the locker room and continued their strong play by opening up a 13-point lead with just under 16 minutes to go in the game.
The Panthers responded in a big way as they went on a 14-0 run and held the Hurricanes without a field goal for over six minutes to take a 44-43 advantage with 10:43 to go in the game. Pitt's one-point advantage was their first lead of the game.
The Hurricanes stopped the Panthers run thanks to seven straight points from Walker, who connected on a pair of free throws, a layup and a deep 3-pointer to give Miami a comfortable 50-44 lead with 9:15 to go.
Miami's defense tightened over the next six and half minutes, as the Hurricanes held Pitt to just a pair of field goals and opened up a 14-point advantage with 2:34 to go in the game.
Miami returns to action on Saturday (Feb. 3), as it heads to Blacksburg, Va., to take on Virginia Tech. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m.

My quick takeaway from this memo:
1) It's obviously very Republican slanted
2) It's undeniable anti-Trump people involved and personal views pretty obviously skewed the scope and push of this thing
3) There is a ton of information missing and there are gaping holes which still need answers
4) If anything from the Steele Dossier this whole thing is completely tarnished and if McCabe did in fact say there would have been no FISA without it, they need to trash this thing and start over.
5) CNN says it's nothing, Fox News says the whole FBI hierarchy needs to go.

4) Trump can fire or hire anyone he wants so there will be no obstruction charge

Was just on phone with Shaq and told him that he should be extremely honored to have enough trust from the staff to host one of the biggest recruit in the few years with the exception of Shaq Quarterman (lol I should be the host). But seriously Shaq knows this is a really big deal and is excited. They are already making plans for the weekend and they (Shaq and Mike) are excited to have the young guys in their company. He was told that the recruits and host were paired based on personality. I told him to be honest.. but focus on the good... playing as a Freshmen... Being a Freshmen All-American... The new relationship he has started with his mentors... Vilma and Beason .. how when you watch film with those guys or working out with them... The U Family is for real and not just some clich. I told him to tell them boyz they are going pro if they play for Bethune Cookman... so why not do it in front of family and friends at home and bring a PowerHouse back to its former glory. Confident he will show them a good time and he will not turn them away. I don't want to know the details of the visit... these kids want to keep their recruitment private...so I will not ask Shaq to violate their privacy. So I will wait on Wednesday like everyone else

LSU was just coming off a NC when Peterson committed in 08', while we were coming off a 5-7 season.
A program on the rise (UM) is easier to sell than a program that's middle of road at best (LSU).
Also, Peterson never played on a team that won the SEC-W.
Surtain Jr. doesn't have to go to LSU to be Patrick Peterson, He can do it in Miami with a legit shot to win the ACC & a NC.

My friend has two brothers who are FBI and they are disgusted what the FBI/DOJ did. My In-laws neighbor is CIA and he also said the same thing. The higher ups are corrupt. All it takes is that one bad apple!

That and they were being told what to do by someone higher up if you know what I mean. By Trump winning the election this blew up in their face. Hillary wins and this all gets swept under the rug!

Epi...look Go Canes and I hardly have a common thread here on the blog about the Canes, but we do go back and we have a agreement to disagree. We are reasonable and most times gentleman about it. We slam each other then we pick each other up. We agree and then disagree 100%.
But your position in this matter is simply denial and unsustainable to any reasonable person. Forget about your absolute hatred for Trump and what he may have done or did for just ONE minute. Forget about the talking points and the details.

It is my opinion that TC & PS2 have HoF talent. These guys could take a spot in the All Time Canes starting lineup with Reed & Taylor much like Patrick Peterson could have. Thats a big thing to miss out on, if you have that opinion of their talent.
