So this is how it ends?
We have been through many years and many tears.
We have lived through good times and bad times.
And now, we are absolutely and completely done.
The end of Canespace has come as we know it.
It is sad but true. Certain bloggers ruined it for us all. And that is sad.
It is the result of the complete and total lack of respect from some bloggers.
But it is not surprising. The entire world is so different from when we started.
It has been fun, it has been rewarding. But it is not worth the hassle any longer.
Goodbye Canespace, it has been good to know you.
GO CANES!
I hope everyone is happy with the outcome.
Selfish people always get what they deserve.
I have no time for this nonsense anymore.
I can be making money instead of wasting my time.
My real friends know who they are.
See you at the games, not on the blog!

Ohio and UMike...if you want to run the blog and post content and keep ALL political comments off the blog by deleting comments or banning people you can. I have no time to do all that. When the blog becomes my work than fun and more pain than pleasure well at that point I have to make a decision on what's best for me and not the blog.
Posted by: 86Cane | February 19, 2018 at 10:52 AM
Seems like every year around this time is when the blog takes a turn for the worse because of lack of football. Basketball is struggling and baseball hasn't started yet, and frankly, not many people care about basketball or baseball lol
Posted by: Ohio_Cane | February 19, 2018 at 11:01 AM
What? You people need to behave yourselves. This has been my home away from home for a long time.
Tom, just take a break for a few. Not blogging with you is like a day without Sunshine.

There are a multitude of political sites and social media platforms for people to go an express their viewpoints on politics and current events. This site was created with the express purpose of discussing the various programs of the Miami Hurricanes. I will hate to see it go if that is in fact is what happening.
In line with the purpose of this blog, how many of you know that Vernon Carey's son is currently projected to be the SECOND pick in the 2020 NBA Draft? He's being recruited by a multitude of schools for 2019, including Miami.

C'mon Tom.
I don't post as often as I should. But I read everyday. And I totally agree with CGNC...

Craig Kuligowski is leaving Miami and is expected to become the new defensive line coach at Alabama, a source told SI. Kuligowski, regarded as one of the nation’s top DL coaches for all of the prospects he has developed at Missouri and later at Miami, played for Nick Saban his senior season at Toledo.
Kuligowski coached two seasons in Coral Gables after spending the previous 15 years as the defensive line coach at the University of Missouri. In his 15 years at Mizzou, he developed five first-round D-linemen.

Go get Kevin Patrick NC State
Posted by: tjl3909 | February 19, 2018 at 09:31 PM
Darn! Coach Kul is a huge loss. He was the one defensive coach I would not want the Canes to lose, and he is headed to Alabama! It hurts

Tonight the Canes beat the Irish. Coach L still tinkering with his lineup. Newton and Izundu were in the starting lineup, and it seemed effective with Lykes, DJ and Wardenberg coming off the bench for an offensive spark. Good and much needed road win. 15 assists for the Canes is a good number, and only 7 turnovers. Hopefully, this win is something for the Canes to build on.
The next game is at Watco against BC. This is a must-win game. It gets the Canes to 20 wins on the season, and closer to an NCAA tournament bid.

Posted by: tjl3909 | February 19, 2018 at 09:31 PM
Kevin PATRICK would be a great hire. The Canes have two DT recruits and one DE recruit committed for 2019, and the still need 2-3 DL in that class. Plus, the current DLs need some coaching and development. Patrick is one of the few coaches out there capable of filling the hole left by coach Kul’s departure

Coach Kul pulled a whole bitch move if he goes to bama!

Do you think he would contact UM or vice versa?
Posted by: thirstybuzzardcane | February 20, 2018 at 12:22 AM
Sad to see this end! But I do agree with you Soup, it got out of hand at time and certain bloggers 'hogged' the blog.
To coach Kul - overrated and IF richt hires the right guy we won't miss him at all. We got 1 top rated DL this year and he was coming whether we had Kul or not. He is so wonderful that he couldn't get 1 key DL to switch to us. Where was his great DL in the Pitt game where the very average QB had a field day and little pressure. IJS - it's not the end of the world (or our defense). Now, me personally, I'm not sold on Diaz as DC / my decision on him will be made this year

Had to pore through my camera roll to a pic of his old sign in from the last time this place went in lock down.
Somebody unlock this place. Lots of Canes stuff going on, let’s get back to that shall we??
Posted by: Go,GoCanes! | February 20, 2018 at 06:50 AM
I always saw coach Kul as a rental and not a long term hire for the staff.
Everyone is replaceable. I would cast my vote for Kevin Patrick, but I ultimately respect CMR's ability to put his staff together.

We picked up a 5 star recruit today. Said he decided because a random group of twitter followers were constantly made UF and FSU look bad online.
Too soon?
Good to have the blog back Soup.
And yes we really did get a huge commit from a 5 Star WR today.

Dang I was getting dangerously weak, a shot of Canespace with water back and I'm starting to steady myself.
Yeah losing Kul to the flat-footed elephants sucks especially when were gonna have to go through them for an NC.
Richt will find the right guy.
Dem Canes!!!

Out of all the coaches that would leave, I expected Dugans was a sure thing. I knew Kool was eventually going to leave, but I would've thought he was going to coach in the NFL, not Bama.

Canes are currently ranked #1 on 247 for the 2019 class, and #2 on Rivals.
We picked up four star Jeremiah Payton today, the 15th ranked wide receiver in the 2019 class on 247 and the 29th on Rivals.
