MEN'S TENNIS The University of Miami men's tennis team received a bid to the 2018 NCAA Team Championship, as announced on the NCAA selection show Tuesday evening. The Hurricanes (14-12, 4-8 ACC), who will compete at the national stage for the 23rd time in program history, will remain in-state and travel to Gainesville, Fla., to face in-state foe, North Florida, in the opening round Saturday, May 12. Miami is ranked No. 39, while the Ospreys are unranked. |

BASEBALL It took five hours and 28 minutes, but the Hurricanes departed with a win Sunday evening– exactly what head coach Jim Morris and his team were looking for. In a game that featured a near two-hour rain delay, eight pitching changes and 28 combined hits, junior Romy Gonzalez walked it off for the Hurricanes in a 12-11 win to cap a weekend sweep of Bethune-Cookman at Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field. |

GOLF The Miami women's golf team plays in the NCAA Austin Regional Monday through Wednesday at the par-72, 6,341-yard University of Texas Golf Club in Austin, Texas. Making their sixth straight trip to an NCAA Regional under head coach Patti Rizzo, the Canes are attempting to advance to the NCAA Championships for the third straight year and the 26th time in program history. |

We played Va Tech, Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Clemson and FSU.
Posted by: Go Canes!! | May 09, 2018 at 09:28 PM
Funny thing is... earlier you said fsu was garbage but now that it fits your agenda you add em to the list of good teams we played? Gotcha! 🤣🤣🤣
Posted by: WWIN | May 10, 2018 at 01:10 AM
He threw 3 picks in the Notre Dame game and went 19-44 against the absolute worst FSU team this decade.

Auburn 9-4

Posted by: WWIN | May 10, 2018 at 01:10 AM
FSU was garbage this year but still better than any team on UCF's 103rd ranked schedule.
The other teams were all also better than anyone UCF played. Malik had an ok game on the ground and a terrible game passing against one of them and completely shit the bed against the other two.
What part don't you get?
Posted by: Go Canes!! | May 10, 2018 at 04:42 AM
How would you compare UCF's talent to the team's they played?
If UCF's talent was less than or equal to their opponents does it matter who they played?

Posted by: thirstybuzzardcane | May 10, 2018 at 09:04 AM
When a coach takes a 0-12 team and goes 12-0 in just two years, that's a damn good coach! I don't care what your schedule looks like!
Posted by: thirstybuzzardcane | May 10, 2018 at 09:11 AM
Scott Frost is a damn fine coach and will likely have long term success at Nebraska.
But the immediate annointing and comparing to every flavor on the month on here is laughable.
CMR has almost 10 times the wins Frost has, all of them in the meat grinder SEC or the ACC.
Frost has had one great season, using elite d1 coaching schemes and probably better talent to beat an embarrassingly bad schedule.
So please, stop drafting his Hall of Fame speech for a minute.
Posted by: Go Canes!! | May 10, 2018 at 09:53 AM
Posted by: Go Canes!! | May 10, 2018 at 09:53 AM
Was Frost ever relieved of his offensive duties.
NoO's pride will be his downfall. His using UM to prove UGA wrong
Posted by: SinisterCane | May 10, 2018 at 11:06 AM
Go Canes is satisfied with CMR doing what he did at Georgia here... win 8-11 games a year without a National Championship

I've seen this show before and been playing non-stop for 10+ years. Oline and QB issues entering your 3rd yr. is a flat out failure of NoO.
Maybe if NoO loses to LSU he'll get the key to the city

No.
Posted by: Go Canes!! | May 10, 2018 at 11:52 AM
Go Canes is satisfied with CMR doing what he did at Georgia here... win 8-11 games and being in position to win a National Championship every year.
Posted by: WWIN | May 10, 2018 at 11:25 AM
FIFY
You make seem like winning double digit games just about every year is so easy to do.
Why don’t you make us a list of who’s doing more than that? How many perennial 11-12 game winners do you see?
I’ll get you started:
Saban, Meyer, Dabo...who else??
Posted by: Go Canes!! | May 10, 2018 at 12:09 PM
What was everyone's expectations of Rosiers when he was named the start? Did he exceed your expectations?
Posted by: thirstybuzzardcane | May 09, 2018 at 04:50 PM
Good question. I think I expected more of him because he had been here so long. I had to remind myself that he never beat out BK. Let me tell you, we surely could have lost that game to Toledo if they had better DB's.

Posted by: CGNC | May 10, 2018 at 01:03 PM
Please explain how we could have lost to Toledo if they had better DB's??? This is a game that no one is saying we were lucky to win lol
You do realize that we couldn't stop Toledo's offense right?
Posted by: WWIN | May 10, 2018 at 01:16 PM
And before you say it... this is exactly what happens... someone puts a false narrative out there and I debunk it then I get accused of being his relative.
Posted by: WWIN | May 10, 2018 at 01:25 PM
We started slow against Toledo, mostly because of Irma imo.
Once we shook the rust off we blew them out.

Exactly. Flavor of the month fan club.
Unless we win the Natty every year, fire everyone.
These fools would be wanting to run Dabo out of town if they were Clemson fans.
Posted by: Gin & Tonic | May 10, 2018 at 02:32 PM
Im not worried at all. Mark Richt is a legit coach, and legit coaches win at Miami. It may take a little time, but once this staff starts humming, we are going to win bigger games. Clemson is still in our way, but Dabo has a several year head start on us. We as fans can not convict Richt because we didnt get justice with Shannon or Golden. Richt is finally putting together top Miami caliber classes. We are only scratching the surface here. We have firmly established ourselves as ACC Coastal favorites, sure go ahead and laugh, but that first step couldnt be done prior to Richt. Now we are in an arms race for Johnny 4 Stars. His coaches are just starting to produce. If Rosier is the QB, then so be it, we won the Coastal last year with him and there is no reason to believe he wont improve, almost everyone has under Richt save a couple of linemen. Im back to loving this team, loving my coach and loving my QB. F*ck LSU, cant wait to see our DEFENSE choke them out. Turnover Chain, Turnover Chain, Turnover Chain, Turnover Chain...

No Monthly flavor just another annual example of piss poor fundamentals
Posted by: SinisterCane | May 10, 2018 at 02:44 PM
And by the way, if Malik doesnt get even 1 percent better, but still goes 10-1 in the regular season, locking up the Coastal, and then we get smashed by Clemson, and then beaten in the Orange Bowl again, and then Miami closes with a top 5 class again, I'm laughing my days away in happiness, because thats another great year for where we are trying to go. 2019 is the 1st season we could potentially compete with the Clemsons of the world anyways. Perry & Weldon would be redshirt Sophomores, Williams a redshirt Freshman and then we'd have whatever Johnny 4 Star we bring in. That QB will be taking the reins of the best Miami roster in a decade.
