Facts.

No doubt, Big T!!!!

His Royal Dudeness

Rian Davis is another take at LB, Manny wants him bad and I can see why. Hes one of those SEC LBs, 6'3" 225 and can run.

Terrance Sullivan

As Far As Malik Rosier he can validate his fans and silence his critics with his play this season in 2018. Opposing teams got the formula on Him its up to him to have a counter attack to thwart what teams will continue to use against him or he will be benched and replaced by a Freshman. That's just the Facts Jack. Buckle Up! Go Canes!

Would love your input on that Big Windy.

Anthony Solomon & Avery Huff can complete the 2019 class. Solomon is 6'1" and below 200. Huff is listed at 6'3" 200. Both are similar to Jermaine Grace in my opinion. Both need to get to 215 by September of 2019. These guys can run & hit, they are not afraid to lay a dude out. They should be excellent in pass coverage. I imagine Joyner will redshirt this year, giving us a trio of talented freshman LBs going into the 2019 season. The thing is that Manny had some good depth at LB already, so this should be the first class that really establishes 4 star depth. We may take 1 more LB as a redshirt candidate, maybe 1 of Pierre or Brooks but to be honest, Im not super impressed with either of those 2 in space.

Rosier's flaws are on a season's worth of film. Opponents will suffocate his weaknesses. The offense could be in trouble

Posted by: CoCane | May 08, 2018 at 10:12 AM

The flaw was the play calling. How many guys did we see in motion? How many rollouts did we do? How often did we attack the middle of the field?

Bottom line is other opposing DC probably loved game planning against our offense!

CoCane exactly like they Figured Rosier out and He was done like Grandma's Biscuits. First 7 games Malik Rosier 17 TD's 4 INT's completing 59% of passes. From Bethune Cookman through North Carolina games. Final 6 Games Malik Rosier 9 TD's 10 INTS's completing 49% of his passes from Virginia Tech through Wisconsin!

Remember he injured is shoulder the UNC game, so I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt.

thirstybuzzardcane

Rosier exceeded all of our expectations! How many of us thought he was going to do as well as he did? Not me!

Remember is was his first year as a starter. We know that he never learned how to study film under Golden.

I have no problem bashing the guy during this season if he doesn't improve. I think Rosier will have a pretty big year. Definitely better than last season.

QB is a main concern also.

We'll be starting a inexperienced frosh or Rosier...

O-line and OC are our main concerns!

O-line, OL Coach and OC are our main concerns!

Go Canes!!

This looks like to be a great pick-up. Even better that he's from St. Thomas, those kids almost always commit and stick.

Andrew Ivins @Andrew_Ivins

Power 5 assistant coach told me today that he thinks Avery Huff is the top linebacker not only in South Florida, but the state. Huge get for Manny Diaz and the Hurricanes.

8:30 PM - 7 May 2018 from Fort Lauderdale, FL

Go Canes!!

Another kid from St Thomas commits to us. That team is loaded this year so it probably won't be the last:

4-Star LB Huff Commits To UM, Breaks Down Decision
By: Stefan Adams

2019 St. Thomas Aquinas 4-star LB Avery Huff committed to the Canes late Monday night, becoming Miami’s 12th commit in the 2019 class. It was the comfortability of the school and Huff’s relationship with Defensive Coordinator Manny Diaz that made the University of Miami the right program for him.

“I really chose Miami because me and my family feel that they best benefit me,” Huff said. “The school alone is great and coach Manny Diaz is a smart coach for me and (Anthony) Solomon. Under his coaching, the sky is the limit.”

Previously, Huff planned to make a top 10 list and announce his final decision on July 21st. What made him comfortable enough to speed up his process?

“Just to get it out the way,” Huff said on his decision. “Now, I can focus on my work learning the playbook and getting to know my Raider brothers better.”

With his commitment in the books, Huff can finally relax a bit and start getting to know his Surge19 classmates better, with one of those classmates being current STA teammate Anthony Solomon. While the process won’t come to a complete close for him at this time, Huff says if he does visit other schools, it will be for the fun of it. He also plans on putting on his recruiter hat to bring others into the fold at UM.

“I might still visit other schools just for the experience and to travel,” Huff said. “The rest of players coming to Miami in our class, I think we have some talent. There are lots of other players I know that would fit Miami’s scheme, both offensive and defensive, and I want to get them on board.”

So, what kind of player is Miami getting with Huff?

“Miami is getting somebody that's coming with a goal, somebody that's determined,” Huff said.

And his expectations for his freshman season at UM?

“I want good luck. I’m also excited to see how coaches craft the incoming freshmen from our class.”

CoCane

"top 10"

CoCane

I wouldn't have extended Richt unless he makes the playoffs before his first contract is up. He needs to reach new heights to get new money...

How is Nosier a top 25 QB in the nation if he's barely too 10 in the ACC???

🤔

WWIN

QB will be fine this season one way or another!

O-line and OC are our main concerns!

WWIN

Bama is on a helluva run without top QB's... hasn't slowed them down

WWIN

Canes fans are already saying we'll lose now after he won 10 games last year... and you think fans had confidence in him last year?

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Top 3 is what Richt needs to really make HIS offense hum... but never mind that, what we really need is bullies on the OL, ffs, Ken Dorsey won the Maxwell and 2 titles at Miami, should have played in 3.

His Royal Dudeness

Posted by: WWIN | May 07, 2018 at 08:46 PM

I said 2 of 3 is a win. No matter, Malik will be fine.

Go Canes!!

Rosier isn't a Top 25 QB and don't remember anyone on here saying we were going to lose to VT, ND and FSU.

BigWindyCane1

Rosier may be a top 25 QB, but I would like a top 5-10 QB. That is what the Canes need to be a top 5-10 team, and frankly, that is what these group of assembled playmakers deserve. A little more accuracy and consistency out of the QB should do the trick.

BigWindyCane1

86 has been on fire! Lighting it up!

Terrance Sullivan

Right on 86.

86Cane

Rosier gives us the best opportunity to win games IMO.

Posted by: thirstybuzzardcane | May 07, 2018 at 08:35 PM

Then we suck donkey balls at QB.

That is all.

thirstybuzzardcane

Hahahahahaha!

WWIN

Don't waste your time thirsty... these same fans said we would lose to fsu, nd, and va tech before the season started

thirstybuzzardcane

You have to admit, our offense was very easy to defend against which doesn't help Rosier at all!

WWIN

Gray Crow was a legend!

thirstybuzzardcane

Rosier is a top 25 QB right now. He's throw against FSU will go down as one of the best in the history of UM football.....You got to love how he pumped up the crowd before he took the snap!

thirstybuzzardcane

Get off Willie's back. Rosier is our best option right now! That's all he's saying! Rosier gives us the best opportunity to win games IMO.

Herbieibis

We ain't going 12-0, with Richt calling plays but it will be close!

86Cane

Never said Rosier was Joe Montana... just said he gets the job done.

Posted by: WWIN | May 07, 2018 at 05:28 PM

No you said, and I quote: "Joe Montana could not hold Malik Rosier's jock strap!"

Any More Questions?

Posted by: Terrance Sullivan | May 07, 2018 at 03:02 PM

I have one.

Will WWIN constantly hanging from Rosier's nut-sack prevent Malik from having children later in life?

Posted by: Gin & Tonic | May 07, 2018 at 04:19 PM

Most def. Poor guy.

WWIN

For the idiots that still don't get it....

I don't give a damn who starts at QB this year! My mentality is like this... if Rosier starts we're going 12-0... if Perry starts we're going 12-0... if Weldon starts we're going 12-0... if Williams starts we're going 12-0. I don't have that loser mentality that a lot of y'all have! But whoever starts better win 10 games or more... that's the floor for this season.

Never said Rosier was Joe Montana... just said he gets the job done.

WWIN

First of all let it be known WWIN hangs on nobody's nutz... I'm a got damn Don! 💯🤣

Secondly... Will I let fans bash their own QB that's ever made it to the ACCCG? Hell naw!

It's funny how CMR gets credit for our wins when he's not even on the field but our starting QB doesn't??? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

And last but not least earn a name around here and stop drinking yours before you fire shots over here!

His Royal Dudeness

not first, damn you Sully

Also very good points. And beat Notre Dame!

Smashed Notre Dame!

His Royal Dudeness
It also seems like during the last decade, we never really knew if Miami actually had the best team in the Coastal... VT, GT and UNC all had good teams from one season to the next. Those teams still do have their nice squad every so often but Miami is clearly the favorite in any matchup now. We got this train moving.
