Co, like I said a pick or two is ok. Some open incompletions are ok.
We just can’t ask TOO MUCH, TOO SOON. Keep it simple. Mix it up and don’t have him back there taking unnecessary hits.
He looks like a good ball handler. Stay away from the the fumbles and hero ball, I think we can go into the acccg hot with a punchers chance at the playoffs NOW.

CMR will be a different playcaller with Perry in the game. The offense will be different. The players will be different. It’s hard to have your QB Rosier throwing in windows when he has demonstrated, well-documented accuracy issues. Play to your strengths and avoid your weaknesses (Sun Tsu).
IMHO, if Perry doesn’t throw any picks on Thursday night, the Canes will win this game and cover the spread very comfortably. The backups may even see substantial action in the second half

Looks like the FSU game will be 3:30 or 8:00. My guess will be 3:30 kickoff.

Let Perry have a bad game and Rosier will be called. No need in jumping off the band wagon now. When that time comes and it will remember we all wanted this dude in.
The defense has been very good but there is a little drop off in talent after the first unit. Still not satisfied with LBing depth.
Got to get a punter. I guess Richt will give Spicer a try but the times he has been in, he wasn't much better.
We need OT's bad. They need to send out an all points bulletin nation wide to every high school to find at least 3 and I'm not talking about sum stiffs.
We are close but there are a few areas that we have to shore up to be truly elite.
When we move up in comp the next couple of weeks we will no more on how we have improved.

Dear Canes fans,
No need for CMR to announce starting QB publicly! For what... to appease fans?
Posted by: WWIN | September 25, 2018 at 06:19 AM
If Perry is able to be used his talent and CMR call the right plays we should be very good on O. A health AR along with JT4, Jordan, Dallas, Cager etc we should be scary. I'd like to Lingard used more in the RB rotation. We are very deep at RB. Dallas should be starting

Great comment. I agree with everything, but I do think the Dallas/Homer/Lingard rotation problem is a close call, but it is a great problem to have. This might be one of the best RB rooms in college football. If they continue to develop players like they have under CMR, there are several future NFL players in the Canes RB room.
I thought Dallas was the better RB against against LSU, Savannah St. and Toledo, but Homer was clearly the better RB against FIU. I think the depth and competition among RBs makes them all better.
I also agree that Lingard should get more touches, and I think that CMR/Brown's plan. Lingard seems to be improving week-by-week, and the way Lingard runs, you can tell he will have a very special career at UM. Even Cam'Ron Davis (a Carol City alumn who will probably redshirt) looks like he could develop into a future NFL player.
Speaking of Carol City, Choc has developed into a very nice fullback in this offense. This is another player that the coaches never gave up on. Choc lacks the vision of a good RB, but is very strong, fast and powerful runner. I see that it takes multiple tacklers to bring him down, and he is 5 for 5 carrying the ball on short yardage situations. That certainly helps the Canes third down offense.

I think Perry will start on Thursday against UNC, barring some unforeseen circumstances, and IMHO, CMR will go over Perry's mistakes (from footwork, to a couple of missed reads) in the FIU game.
Going back and comparing the progression of Perry from the Savannah St. game to the FIU game, IMHO, Perry's ceiling is much higher than what we have seen so far. Once Perry gets comfortable in this offense, and he learns what to do, this Canes offense can be a 40+ points a game offense.
My simple goals for Perry for the rest of the season are the same goals that I had for Rosier:
*65% or more completion percentage,
*7 or less interceptions
*8 or less sacks
*zero fumbles.
With the play-makers in the Canes offense, all other great offensive stats will take care of themselves.
IMO, if this happens, sit back and enjoy one of the Canes' greatest offensive seasons in a while.

Only thing holding Lingard up from more playing time is him learning to pass block or block at all.
In high school he never had to block anyone.
When he comes into the huddle now every player on the other team knows 1 is going to get the ball so they load up. He is so fast he can still beat them at times.
He should develope into our featured back. Imo

That is a solid four. This defense is full of NFL players. Diaz and the staff have done a great job of developing players. Michael Jackson graded as a 90.8? Wow! That three-star recruit Garvin has a chance to be a first round NFL pick some day, and Willis and Shaq. will be All ACC. Gurvin Hall showed flashes on Saturday and still has a chance to make the all freshman team with that hit he made on the sidelines on Saturday.

Certainly an interesting project. Reminds me of G in some ways. I'd like to see him work hard enough to see the field in 4 games next year, and take his redshirt. Perhaps by 2020, he can add depth to the team as a redshirt FR, and then by 2021 he can be apart of the rotation. 2022 & 2023 would be his leadership & money years. What I'd really like to see this year is 2 freshmen that dont have to be redshirted, but then, it looks like Miller may get a redshirt making Nesta the only contributor for this cycle, thats kind of a let down, we need to have 2 or 3 DTs per class from FR to JR if we are ever going to get our numbers where they need to be.
