Tom, was it as Hard Rock, or the OB?

Posted by: MLAlumni1970 | September 13, 2018 at 04:35 PM

It was either Hard Rock, Pro Player, Landshark, Joe Robbie Stadium or a facsimilie.

BEERicane

Soup, you still at that aol email address? Or got something different now? Gotta get you the $ for the tix

Herbieibis

Bogle is a DE. I believe a 4 star. I know we need linemen period as we are somewhat things on the Dee side and tackle wise on offense. We need talent not projects.

Id rather have depth and no immediate players than no depth and no immediate players.

AeroCane

AeroCane, as for Urban, remember that he was only banned from the sidelines for the first three weeks. As for football activity, he was only banned through the first game. So after they beat Oregon State, he resumed coaching at practices and other football operations (i.e. recruiting). That was really the most ridiculous suspension ever. Hell, I know it's been said but Olivier Vernon got 6 games for accepting what, like $1000 in benefits. This guy covers up a woman getting abused by a fellow coach and a FRIEND for 9 years and gets that?!?!?! Urban Meyer is scum.

Thx but not only is urban scum but everything about Ohio State is scum times 2

I still have it active, so yes go ahead and shoot me an email there.

Go Canes!!

Since I have no chance of falling asleep again for a while I guess it’s prediction time.

Tryouts for starting QB job continue, Malik does just enough to hold on to his job. Our playmakers break some big ones, including Lingard and Thomas.

Canes 37-17

Are you required to be on dialup to receive emails that end in aol.com?

If it doesn’t work hit him up on his MySpace page!

61 NFL players from south of Tampa. The talent down here is incredible:

Actually, it’s more than that. Palm Beach, Lee and MARTIN Counties are not included, and they have NFL players like Khalil Mack, Sammy Watkins, Jacoby Ford, Pierre Garçon, etc.

Talent in Florida is amazing. The Canes can’t get them all - just need more of our share going to Coral Gables to play college football. The list of players vary from five stars to three star and unranked recruits. CMR and his staff just need to recruit the right ones

Terrance Sullivan

Bottom Line The Talent is in the South period from Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina provides half of NFL Rosters. That's crazy. Just recruit the South in General and we good. IJS.

BigWindyCane1

If you look at the numbers, there is actually more talent in Florida today than there was when Butch was coaching at UM in the 1990s and early 2000s.

The problem now that Butch didn't face in the 1990s and early 2000s is greater competition. Florida has more qualify major college football programs, like FIU, USF and UCF that are competing and recruiting good 2-3 stars, which were depth players that oftentimes would be developed into stars, such as Santana Moss. Limitations on the number of players on each roster has also hurt. In addition, other out-of-state, top-tier programs are also coming here to compete with the Canes for Florida's 4-5 star recruits.

It's a totally new recruiting landscape today, and CMR and his staff and trying to make adjustments. I like their last three classes, and the 2018 class is obviously full of future NFL players. But there has also been some misses too. Success on the field is the best recruiting tool, so the Canes need to get back to the ACC Championship game

1ST DRIVE OF THE GAME
HOMER UP THE MIDDLE FOR A 3 YARD GAIN
INCOMPLETE PASS TO CAGER
ROSIER ON THE RPO FOR A 2 YARD GAIN
PUNT
CANESPACE AND FACEBOOK HAS A MELTDOWN AND FIRE COACH AND WHY DOESNT PERRY START

Go Canes!!

Posted by: canezilla | September 14, 2018 at 09:04 AM

This is waaaayyyy off.

Rosier will pick up four yards on 3rd and 8.

SOUP

As long as we go three and out on the first series I will be happy. Keep the streak alive!

BigWindyCane1

I hope we get to see Lingard get a few reps. I think he has the big-play, game-breaking potential and ability that Walton and Duke had, but maybe faster and bigger. With more big plays in the running game, the Canes offensive line might look a little better.

I really liked the way Lingard looked running the ball against Savannah St. He follows his blocks well, and he is REALLY FAST, and was barely touched on the TD run. Lingard showed good vision.

As CMR said, Mallory and Jordan look like the best TEs in the 2018 class. Lingard might be the best RB in that class. In addition, the 2018 WR class isn't too shabby, and they are full of really good looking players. The future is very, very bright.

Herbieibis

U mean Third and 6 and throw a quick out for 3 yds. And then a 30 yd. shanked punt.

TruCane81

30 yds is a good punt for us with what we have seen, Herbie.

Go Canes!!

Hoping his kid is a modern day Tin Cup and all he has is a bad case of the shanks!

His Majesty The Dude on High

So after 2 games who was more right? Those mostly concerned about Rosier, or those mostly concerned about the OL?

Old Skool

Maybe Feagles has a case of the yips which are causing his shanks.

Old Skool

FWIW Here's more yip info from Golf Digest

The yips are not limited to golf. The condition has similar effects in activities like darts, archery, and shooting. In this country, there have been several prominent examples in baseball, most notably the Yankee second baseman Chuck Knoblauch, an All Star who eventually couldn't make an accurate throw from second base. Like Els making long putts, the problem was minimized when he was moved to left field and he had to throw longer distances.

TruCane81

Got it,Old Skool.

All we gotta do is put Feagle back five or 10 yards deeper.

Problem solved!

TonyCane

I think the biggest difference is the efforts by out of state programs to Hoover up recruits. Alabama, Ohio State, Tenn, and others really stepped up their game to pull in Florida talent around 2006 forward. Even Rutgers had a billboard marketing their program that they put us in South Florida. Our recruiting program fell behind badly under Randy Shannon. Golden modernized it, to his credit, and Richt is building much further on that foundation.

TonyCane

Hawaii, there was a fourth discipline that was handed out to Urban as well:

4) Urban will have to write, “I’m sorry” on an athletic building whiteboard three times. The actual writing of the phrase can however be handled by an intern

Go Canes!!

High schools with most players on opening-day rosters:

1. St. Thomas Aquinas (Ft. Lauderdale), 15
2. Long Beach Poly, 7
t3. Norcross (Ga.), 6
t3. Serra (San Diego), 6
t5. Glenville (Cleveland), 5
t5. Lakewood (St. Pete), 5
t5. Miami Central, 5
t5. Miami Norland, 5

Lmao.

Tony, you a fool!

Terrance Sullivan

I will say it again louder for the people in the back Over Half of NFL Rosters come from The States of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina! Recruit these States for 95% of your team and then nationally recruit the other 5%. The End.

CoCane

Don't forget about North Carolina

CGNC

Go Canes!

Let's get the W

Hi Marylou - have a fabulous time!

Terrance Sullivan

CoCane truth well add North Carolina and just nationally recruit the other 5%.

Thank you for the shout out CGNC. Sorry you won't be at the game tomorrow, but it is too far for Canespacers from Fla to make. I am excited about going. I know it is on tv. Go CANES.

Yeah another back up. I guess see can call this the depth chart class (2019). So far not to many elite verbs.

Then he would hit the long snapper in the back of the head

UMike

Sup spacers. I hope Like gets more carries this week. I could see a #1-#2 of Dallas and Lingard being great. And I like Homer, but he shouldn't be the starter imo

86Cane

Everyone wants to cancel Homer with casual abandon yet not one person wants to axe Rosier to the wood pile?

Go Canes!!

For Herb:

I would be perfectly fine if Perry started tomorrow. It can't be much worse and if so, put Rosier back in.

Go Canes!!

If by no one you mean everyone but WW then you are correct.

Perry to Homer for 6!

Worry about your coaching staff that's stealing money!

Don’t sleep on Travis. His style fits this struggling oline the least.

I think he is feeling the pressure of the studs behind him. He is way to impatient with his blocks.

We should be throwing to the backs a lot more.

Herbieibis

Go,
U ain't getting timed in a shuttle during a game. Players are a dime a dozen who look good at a camp. Golden used to hand out ships at his camps like a bag of Tata chips. Let their play in games define them.

In the last couple of weeks, he's been offered by Texas A&M, Florida & Tennessee.
