We came, we saw, we got massacred Texas Chain Saw style.
That was the story of your Miami Hurricanes visit to AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas on the Sunday before Labor Day.
The stadium was as beautiful as advertised but the LSU Tigers mauled Miami and won convincingly 33-17 in a totally lopsided affair.
The game was basically close until the end of the first quarter but was never in doubt beyond that as Miami simply could not score.
Blood and guts were everywhere and it was not pretty as the Hurricanes got sawed up big time in "The Big D".
The same old UM offense under Mark Richt showed up and stunk up the place in another hapless and pitiful performance. They had no clue what to do or how to do it and looked lost and confused. Every phase of the offense was poor.
The Miami defense also did not hold up their end of the bargain as they got beat physically and mentally over and over again. The vaunted and often feared turnover chain never made it out of its carrying case, and as a result, the momentum never swung for the Hurricanes.
It was a horrible game and a horrible way to waste a couple thousand dollars on supporting what has now appears to be a bad investment.
Based on this performance, here is what we think about the current situation and what should happen now:
- Richt is an average head coach and has not lived up to the hype (his team was completely unprepared).
- Richt is a below average offensive coordinator (his play calling and the offensive execution were awful).
- His son should be fired at QB coach tomorrow. He hasn't done anything for anybody.
- QB Malik Rosier is not good. He is inaccurate and inconsistent at best and has regressed since last year.
- The offensive line is itself offensive and their coach should be fired yesterday. Weakest link on the team.
- The Canes should go for it on fourth down and whatever because their punter and special teams are embarrassing.
- The defense needs to go back to basics and stop telegraphing their blitzes before the snap.
- The fans, cheerleaders and band are the best part of this "team".
This nonsense needs to stop and stop now. Otherwise this season will be lost, and this team will regress once again.
And that is simply too much to take for the Hurricane faithful who spend BIG money to celebrate their team, not to suffer humiliation.
Garvin and Willis are among the ACC leaders in TFL, and Garvin is among the ACC leaders in total tackles. Willis was ACC defensive lineman of the week last week. In spite of the losses of the top three DTs along with DEs HARRIS and THOMAS, I think Jess Simpson is doing a fine job with this players.
Not sold on Bethel as a starter yet, but it’s still early in the season. Silvera looks like he will be a good one.

Dear Soup,
This is what we know... all the QB's are playing with the same talent that they had in high school due to them not learning anything from CMRJR... so ask yourself who was better in high school?
Hint... his initials are JW

All four QBs stared down the WRs!! JW complete 1 of 2, the one completed pass to Ezzard was slightly behind him and that pass to Njoku was not the right read and over thrown.

Dude, we're u even at the game? Obviously not! He was actually 1-3. All his passes were money. Pope slipped on the one, which was placed perfect!

I have finally watched most of the game and I must say I find it VERY hard to evaluate much, but here's what I came away with.
1) Miami's roster is loaded with talented young players.
2) The OL should be much better than is. Donaldson isnt athletic enough for RT, but as a RG is dominant. I think we should move him back there, and hopefully we land 2 legit 4* plus, plug and play Ts for the OL.
3) Perry can make throws Rosier cant. I think letting Rosier get a 14-0 lead then pulling him for Perry is the right call. Perry should be starting in the next few games. He's a better thrower period and for all that Rosier may know about where to go with it, it does him/us no good if he cant complete the throw. Perry needs as many reps as possible.
4) Searels better land 3 OTs for 2019 or what good is he? Its year 3 for these guys, we cant miss anymore on numbers at positions.
5) (From 2017) Hire an OC. Mike Yurcich would be great.

^^^ I'd take Jedd Fisch also.

Jedd Fisch since making an AG offense look decent:
NFL OC.
Worked with Harbaugh.
Worked with Mora Jr.
Works with McVay.
He got the best out of Harris and Morris.

We will win the Coastal imo. We will win many games in a row now.

Can anyone tell me whats going on with Mark Fox and Wardrick Wilson? Why S.C. and U.F.? Wilson is a G, but Fox might play some RT. Evan Neal might be a RT, but I think he's probably a G also. Darnell Wright is a LT, RT at worst, but I doubt we pull him in.

Oh and Tarquin is probably a G from what Ive seen.

Looks like Hurricane Florence will potentially be affecting the game on Saturday.

This is what we need Canes fans not the garbage that we have on our roster. This is Ryan Hilinski from Orange Lutheran High School in California. Number Two rated Pro Style Quarterback in the country according to 247 Sports. Committed to South Carolina at the moment but this is the type of quarterback we need. https://youtu.be/QYmvIhKNpJw

Good? Good? GOOD???
Try friggin GREAT! Watch the punt when he blocked the blocker into the punter and THEN hit the punter. He has even earned a nickname:
"The Beast from the East"

2. I have said time and time again...fat and slow is no way to go through life. Unless you are a dominant, road grader GUARD, not a "fake news" tackle just playing for the $$$.
3. Perry should start from now on. Period.
5. Not gonna happen ever as long as the imaginary "smartest man in the room" with the initials "MR" is large and in charge. Keep dreaming.

^^^
5. Believe me, I know. As I said, coaches never change at Miami. They just ride their sh*tshow to the pink-slip and buyout.
