Thank God I bought new construction where they just planted the small oak trees and the limbs can't even think about holding me. Plus I prefer Home Depot. I like the orange color sign there.
I ate like 5000 calories of Italian food (pasta and calzone) today and I still don't feel any better. Are there any other suggestions on how to cure da blues? Please help a brother out?
Not only will Rosey remain the QB but Richt had the audacity to say we call plays that we believe in. I'd like to know what those plays are so I can figure out how to believe in them. I haven't seen to many that work and oh by the way, if they hadn't worked in 2 weeks, I guess Richt is hoping Duke will be the one team that doesn't game plan for them.
The way these teams are playing against us, you'd think they had our play pamphlet. It can't be any bigger than a pamphlet!
I’m very surprised with this latest announcement that Perry hasn’t come out and said he’s transferring. Why would he stay? Hell, we lost to Virginia and BC and he only played like a quarter!
And, I’ll just bring this up- why does Diaz get a pass? He couldn’t come up with a game plan for BC and allowed them to stay on the field way too long? He knew the qb would run, he knew Dillon was going to try to power his way thru us, he knew they had a trick play or so (every team does) and he really did very little.
Rosier equals mediocrity. Why watch it? At this point, I'm more interested in next year. The weird thing is Richt seems to want to perfect something that's outdated and obvious: burlesque, vaudeville, the best hits from Tony Orlando and Dawn. No one cares.

When I was a wee lad on Sundays we would always have family dinner together and after dinner my Mom (God rest her soul) would always put on the Lawrence Welk show. You want to talk about classic old skool, there it is right there. I'd rather be forced to watch old reruns of that show than the Canes football games in 2018. That's all you need to know.
Maybe he’s not playing Perry because of the off the field crap with the video of Perry sitting in a car with wads of cash on his lap. Maybe he’s not announcing it because he’s trying to save The U more bad publicity, especially if the investigation winds up clearing the school. And maybe his vanilla play calling is the type of play calling that gives Rosier the best chance of not screwing up. Ok, I admit that’s a whole lot of Maybes. But at this point one thing is for sure and that’s that Richt ain’t going nowhere for now. So Maybe all of us, MYSELF INCLUDED, should put away the torches and pitchforks and give him the benefit of the doubt, at least until we see how all this plays out. Look, we were all very happy when Richt came here and until this year we were for the most part pleased with the team’s direction. Do we really want to go through ANOTHER coaching search and rebuilding process right now? I damn sure don’t. I have been as critical of Richt as anyone here; things have sucked pretty much from the LSU game on. But I have to admit that I am not in that locker room nor am I hearing things like I used to years ago cause I no longer hang out in Miami in certain places like I did a few years back when I was a young and single playa, lol. Until today I didn’t even hear about that Nkosi video; was it talked about much over here? If it was I missed it. But it’s obvious that Richt has soured on Perry for some reason, and if it’s because of off the field nonsense I can see why he didn’t broadcast it. I know we all feel like we have a right to know everything that’s going on with the team, but guess what? We really don’t. A coach has the right to keep some things to himself, especially if revealing too much too soon would be detrimental to the school and even to the player. The more I think about it the more I am starting to believe that there’s definitely a lot more to all of this than we are seeing. If not Richt is really really dumb and stubborn and a really bad football coach. The evidence might look like that is the case, but until this year nobody here felt that was true.

If I had to wager, I'd say the truth lies somewhere in the middle.
CMR has overreacted to his lack of trust in his QBs by being way, way, way too conservative. Can understand it to a certain extent cause every time Perry drops back I hold my breath and expect something bad to happen. But he's gone so far overboard we have no chance of winning unless Perry and the o-line completely overachieve for 60 minutes, which they can't.
So he's basically setting his offense up for failure every single time they take the field.
On the flipside, Perry has probably given him a ton of headaches by being very immature and won't, hasn't, can't or will never grasp the seriousness of his job.
Either way we're screwed unless we find someone who can get the most out his team when he doesn't have the exact tools he needs to succeed.
Right now he's getting a gigantic F for that part of his job.
Here is a better concept run 5 plays and give the reigns over to Jarren Williams master those 5 plays and throw in the wildcat with Deejay and sparingly play Malik like 2 series a game. The 3rd series of each half. Other than that Have Jarren Williams be the guy and see what you got because Malik or N'Kosi are not the guys and we need to find out what Jarren can do.
I have described to some of the guys on the space my views of raising my children. I believe most of the problems in this world are developed in young impressionable children who pick the wrong crowd to hang out with. But at the same time they need the social interaction with other kids in order to develop their social skills. So I raised my two children in a home school co op. My wife was the president of a group of women who planned events, graduations, and volunteering for work days in our community. I look at 100 kids who were part of our group and am very proud of the work we accomplished. We provided the security and structure that gave the kids the tools to succeed in this very dangerous world.

Raize Cade is a knucklehead like N'Kosi so Naw he would just be used as filler. Coach Richt should this offseason get a Grad Transfer QB and sign a QB at the least.
We lived in Clermont when we had the group of kids. It was a small town just south of MD. I was so upset when my kids got too old and we had to give up the leadership to the parents with young kids. But the co op is still going strong since we left 10 years ago...my wife along with the other wives developed a core group of like minded parents. The unity of our group was special. Those memories give me pleasure this day.
The advantage of being part of making decisions about the direction to take in challenging your kids is that in the co op you can pick the courses that best fit you kids gifts. We were successful in motivating he kids in our relating to them in order to tap into their interest. We joined a community theater in order to help some of the kids learn social skills. I had so much fun.

I agree 100%, LOL. Raize, you have my utmost respect.
I went to a high school football game 20 years ago... the running backs were lined up very close to the qb who was under center. If they ran a sweep the backs would be just outside the tight end...the offense was set up to bust the running back into the hole very quickly or pitch to the back so the he got to the open space quickly...they were very successful...but you look at our team..we run the option and ride the back into the hole ...we are like 5 yards behind the line of scrimmage with a group who cannot even block the dummies. The whole timing of the offense seems to be slow and geared toward big slow offensive lines...richt tried to change the passes to short crosses or bubble screens but the Rosier was not accurate and the receivers did not catch the ball. There was enough space on those short passes for success but the timing was off.
Perry was very immature for posting that photo on IG, but who isn't immature at 19-20 years old. Still, Perry wants to be the QB and leader of UM, not FSU (props to Winston), so he needs to grow up and understand what it takes. Someone needs to mentor him. I remember visiting UM back in the Butch days, and those players were not models of behavior. They were immature and cocky, but for the most part, they stayed out of the news.
It also is upsetting to see Perry celebrate when he still hasn't accomplished anything by Hurricanes standards. Perry has to have the maturity to understand that at UM, you are not successful until you are a Maxwell Award or Heisman finalist and national champion, and the crowd will love you today and get upset with you tomorrow if you don't perform. That is the standard.
That said, I think Perry, Williams or Weldon should be given a chance to lead this team before the end of the season. It is time to start building toward the future.
If you look at the good spread teams they do a lot of motion. The guy who is running the motion gets a pitch or a hand off...he is almost at full speed...we have a lot of speed but we never take advantage of it with that motion play...before clemson got all 5 stars ..most of their running plays involved the guy in motion.
Coach will never be successful if he runs an offense that does not magnify the qbs strengths. A few wrong decisions from the coach and it all starts degenerating. When they lose confidence and the coach blames the players then he is on his way out. Recruiting ..organization and knowing how to motivate players is more important than all of the preparation that goes into getting to that high level...thats where we are failing
Are there any other suggestions on how to cure da blues? Please help a brother out?

If you were single, I'd suggest a Tom sandwich with two 20 year old nymphets. As you're married: his and her pedicures. That'll make your wife happy. As the saying goes. Happy wife ...
I turned 61 this month....when I was in my 20s i joined a city soccer club in miami. After playing center forward for a season, I wished i had skipped football for soccer. I have a glass jaw ...i got my bell wrung a few times. I could have really excelled at the center forward position and maybe gotten a scolly although my gifts are geared toward carpentry. But now i enjoy watching women college soccer...im an old school person who grew up in a society in which women became cheerleaders not playing sports. I cant get over the aggressiveness that i see in the games. The women are smacking each other around..lol
Go - he became available and we swooped in even though he had been fired for performance
You name the coaches we interviewed during this so called national search you say we conducted
And again,my pount was that Blake took the easy way out and didn’t do his due diligence
Richt is here to the end of his contract, I'm afraid. No more fun with the Canes. Ruins the whole year. Get excited for football; they are in the tank so soon; probably no bowl game; same old sh.t.
Somebody, put us out of our misery. Don't think I can watch them again. WHAT THE HELL IS THE PROBLEM?
It is like Lucy AND Charlie Brown.
We wait all year and somebody steals the football. PISS, PISS, and PISS.
I am 70 years old now and I hope I will see the CANES win the big one, before I die.
What the hell does Blake James do for his money?
Should have gotten Butch way back when. He always had fire in the belly, unlike the other coaches. And, I almost flipped my lid when I read how Shalala wanted to get rid of football.
Build a 50 ft wall around the school, and let only the tried and true in. The Canespacers can run the entrance and decide who gets in, including Administration, etc. Just kidding, but not totally. Someone has to take control and right, not Richt, the SHIP.

The whole timing of the offense seems to be slow and geared toward big slow offensive lines...richt tried to change the passes to short crosses or bubble screens but the Rosier was not accurate and the receivers did not catch the ball. There was enough space on those short passes for success but the timing was off.

In my observation of the offense , i am like ..this guy coaches the plays to fail.

The smartest and easiest thing Miami can do is demote Jon, and hire Kendal Briles as OC. It could prevent a lot of other guys from losing their jobs.

Right now he's getting a gigantic F for that part of his job.
