Think before you post. And yes, this applies to me and you.

We hired a reject and a reject is what we got!
Should have hired butch which most of us wanted with a ‘coach in waiting’ or one of the young up and coming guys
Heck Fisch or cristobil would have been better more fun and exciting than the reject we have.
Canes football is no fun with richt! It’s not only about winning, but enjoying the game - it is our entertainment dollar!
Remember. He almost lost to a terrible and poorly coached Seminole team!
And, he should of pulled Perry for 1 series at most! Malik sucks and that won’t change. If he didn’t put Perry in he should of put williams in - play Williams, lingard, nesta, Pope, etc and let’s either win or lose with fun and young

I’m not turning on CMR. I don’t have an issue with his extension. I don’t even have an issue with him calling plays.
My issue is the design of the plays he’s calling. Our offense needs a bright, aggressive younger mind to modernize and maximize our offensive potential.
I also understand he’s coaching to an extent with both hand tied behind his back. That O-line simply isn’t talented. They physically cannot impose their will on anyone. And watching Malik last night was like reliving a bad dream. He also is just a mediocre at best talent under center.
At the end of the day, pulling Perry was a huge mistake and one I hoped he learned from. And again our qb and O-line play is awful. But a good offensive mind with a better, more innovative offense would have found a way to score enough to win last night.
He absolutely has to make that change after this season.

Lol. This is the most inconsistent thing I have read in a long while.
So you have no issue with him calling plays which you fully admit he has no clue how to do.
No problem calling plays = need a new OC 💯
I got it now...
The funny thing is that post essentially reveals the inner conflict we all feel for our canes and the inexplicable flops we see on the field.
The shame of all this is Butch was there waiting for the U call when

Hi Solar. I wanted Butch so bad and he interviewed and wanted the job. BUT there were some that could not over him leaving and whatnot. The scandal at UNC with academics far pre-dated his hire there. BUT every time we had a coaching opening and tested the waters to see if Richt wanted it, he always said no. Then he was fired and we scooped him up like found money. Schiano interviewed for the job too I think.
That banner place will be up and running sooner rather than later LOL

Agreed! The thing I don't get is where re all those plays in the end of the 4th during the regular game that would settle down his QB? get the ball to your playmakers in space.
You’re right beer I should have qualified that he’d have to be ready to call the plays designed and implement those changes. If not he’s have to give it all up.
Crazy to think that the last HC to really shake up a staff is Larry Coker.

LOL. We can't catch a break. Although I am optimistic because the school seems committed to the football program and will spend money, unlike the Shalala years.
Cause no matter what happens this week our o-line is trash, CMR’s play calling is trash and our QB position is trash.
And everyone on here can spend the whole week arguing one is mainly responsible for the other two...and everyone be right...
Maybe the worst part of all is we’re going to waste this National Championship caliber defense. A defense I’d love to go to war with in a huge game and see what they can do with an offense that doesn’t put them in multiple shitty positions literally every single game.

So what you are telling us is that two fans on some blog named Canezilla and RaizeCane KNOW this as a fact but a highly paid, very experienced head coach does NOT prepare his team accordingly?
Is THAT what you are saying? Because if so that coach may need to be fired because I was always told "Coaches know everything, Fans don't know ANYTHING!"
UVA did have the markings of a trap team, but that shouldnt have mattered. Did anyone else become more and more furious as the announcers said Mendenhall gave up the play calling on D?
We are and will be mediocre until we get a new HC or he totally releases the offense to someone in this century
Until then we are stuck listening to his lies and the crap offense he puts on the field
Oh well - it is what it is
All you need to do is watch one entire Saturday of college football and then watch Miami play and you can see the total difference between competence and incompetence on offense.
It doesn't take detailed statistical analysis, extensive knowledge of schemes, technical football jargon, or a complex understanding of the game. It is all right there before your eyes to see, just as plain as day.
CMR has done way more good than bad since arriving here.
But his legacy hangs on his ability to recognize what needs to be done with this offense.
He can continue to recruiit top players, hoping he ends up with so much o line and QB talent that his offense works. Or he finds coaching help that makes an average offense good, a good offense great and a great offense unstoppable.
If UM beats Pitt, will that be enough to vault us past the ACCCG and right into the playoff like they did with the SEC last season? Can UM lose the ACCCG and still play for a "ship" this season?
It is my opinion that OC has now become a forced issue. Miami should explain to him that the new hire will be made BEFORE the bowl game so these kids know whats happening next year, and hopefully it will create a buzz. He Should have until Miami's last game to submit 3 names, and James should have 10 names by next week. As an organization, you can not let poor management ruin your team. There shouldnt be any such thing as enough rope to hang yourself with.

They wouldnt fire Frost 1st year would they? Theyre heading for a 3-9 season though... but still, theres no way. The still have Ohio State, Michigan State and Iowa on their schedule, and a Minnesota team thats kind of scrappy.
He’s responsible for putting all the pieces in place for us to have the #1 defense in the country.

He gets credit for the improving infrastructure, national profile, recruiting, and hiring good defensive coaches. His negatives at the moment are on the offensive side of the ball.
We have a loaded wide receiver corp. Every player except Langham is a four (or in the case of Pope 5 star) player. We have a deep running back corp. Yet right now our offense looks as hapless as the abyssal depths that we sank to in 2006 when punters and cornerbacks had to play WR because we didn't recruit any for a few years. To say that we are underperforming is an understatement, and if it continues the recruits will dry up and all the good that he has done will be squandered.
If Im the AD, Richt has a deadline of the start of the last game to submit his ideas on coaching changes on Awfense. If not, Im forcing an OC of my choosing on him, probably Jedd Fisch because weve worked together before and his resume is pretty good. If Richt wont play ball, I will phase him out delivering more and more power to Fisch and Diaz, essentially making Richt a figure head. Im sorry/not sorry but you dont get to ruin this brand for some sense of self satisfaction you get by calling plays and implementing your awfense. Jon Richt is the coach thats out.
Tell me how u have 14 to 15 offensive linemen and u have maybe one kid on the roster who can play tackle and he is a true freshman?
He talked about our lack of speed at WR and now we have speed but he can't figure out how to get the ball to these guys, except by running fly patterns.
He has brought in 8 freshmen the last 2 recruiting cycles, plus a grad transfer and yet we have no tackles.
We have 2 broke down punters, who we can't flip the field with.
Neither QB is great, with accuracy and they use Rosier, who has the weaker arm, throwing the fly patterns.
Third and one, I have no problem using the FB on one of those plays but twice but even that being said, we aught to be able to grind out one flipping yard in 2 tries.
The on side kick to The Herb was stupid. Pooch kick it to the 25 to 30 and make them try and go 70 yds. We needed field position, plus when have our special teams done any thing worthy, except put us in a worse situation.
Then there's Tito a pick up from Illinois, who had we been recruiting DT's real hard, we would have no use for this cast off.
The play calling sucks!
The offensive coordinator sucks!
The QB coach sucks!
The special team coach sucks!
The O-Line coach definetly sucks!
We have weapons on offense to score a ton of pts. but as long as Richt is calling the shots, we'll but lucky to average 20Pts. a game.Get ready because the rest of the games are going to be a dog fight only because Richt will keep these teams in the game by this Vanilla fudge he's offering our opponents.
