For the third straight match, the Skopje, Macedonia, native picked up a straight-set victory, defeating the Yellow Jacket, 6-2, 7-5.
On the opposite side of the bracket, the highest ranked Hurricane, No. 41 Adria Soriano Barrera squared off against Florida Atlantic's Jason Legall in the morning session. The Barcelona, Spain, native quickly picked up a, 6-1, 6-1, victory to advance to the Round of 16.

The semifinals are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Monday, with the finals slated for 9 a.m. on Tuesday.
coach is an old qb and all the drama on the team is about the qb...go with the flow ..Perry is streaky but he is accurate

The Herb says this, if u want to reach the top 5 and stay around in that neighborhood, u don't follow up a top 10 recruiting class with number 18 to 20 class. We all know what takes to win ships and that is a stout DEE! We have a stout DEE BUT we have no one the caliber of Willis on the roster or coming In next year, at least that I have scene or read about. The way he is playing is the way a 5 star caliber player is supposed to play and that is consistent game after game.
We have the opportunity to grab some big fish to put us ose to the top 10. Bogle, Neal, Stephens and Ingrahm, would be the ones we need. Wyndemeyer will be a hard pull to yank from A&M. The other TE we are after is between us and the Crocs. Richards and Macintosh are 50/50. We are also In on JJ Weaver who is more a Kentucky lean.
There is no QB crewt, so it's sink or swim with what we have or grab a grad.
We should not be in this situation but this is what happens when u lose to scum buckets and u look like a dam Pop Warner team on O! It's down right shameful with our talent to even come close to losing to Virginia. Richt needs to get his head out of the clouds and pop some uppers because those downers ain't working!!

miami is not like Georgia...its very fickle...it took Butch 3 years to load the team with talent..thats after he brought in good coordinators.....it may be too late for Richt

its all about recruiting..jj loaded the team and erickson tore it down...Butch brought in the boat load and clappy tore it down...thats why i wanted butch back

why CMR wouldn’t punish Perry for the video. But what DT Odenigbo did at the end of the Virginia game was something CMR should punish because it cost the Canes the game and a possible shot at the CF Playoffs. I have rarely seen anything so idiotic at the end of a close and important college football game.

That game should have never came down to the end

Quote from a CBS Sports Article on a CFB funding lawsuit.
"One of my favorite stories about the ways they spend money is the Louisville facility has retinal scanners," Berri said.

You remember we were screaming at Goldilox for years that no d was gonna get him fired? Well we have the same problems with Richt and the offense...i cant understand why these coaches are so hard headed.
Posted by: mi@mic@ne | October 23, 2018 at 11:10 AM
Richt is a coach who thinks the players should be self motivated. But JJ used to say that some players need to be treated with tough love and go easy on other players...Richt is too laid back...if he motivated them correctly they would respond ..we would not be losing. Now the players are testing him ...ie Perry

Butch was a defensive guy..but he hired a d coordinator and o coordinator..but haveing good coaches on both sides of the ball does not mean your gonna be a winner. The head coach must be a disciplinarian and know how to control the team...thats why I wanted Butch

You tell a good ole boy in Georgia what to do and he almost blindly does it. But a miami guy is not gonna just do what you say..he is used to running his own life ..got that street mentality which is brash...totally different player

This is a bannable offense GD, suggesting abandoning the state of Miami leading into the worst signing class in fatso's entire horrid run of them one after the next;

"Suggesting we should be getting 90% of those kids is a massive stretch.
25% or more of them won't qualify or have issues that stopped us from recruiting them.
Ohio knows more than me which of the rest we actively recruited.
We should be getting 6-7, three is definitely too low.
But give me a break with the 15-17 out of 19.
Posted by: Go Canes | January 03, 2015 at 04:02 PM"
Also dumping on South Florida underage jocks for being too stupid to qualify and trying to appeal to Wes for assistance in putting on your GD talking points for Fake Lame's favorite object of affection in the sid bathroom stall? Really laying it on thick for the worst regime in UM history. Your current attempts have no heart in them by comparison, better strap up as someone used to say around here, there's red bandanas afoot!

For once I’ll engage you. I don’t know why because you’re so obviously mentally incapable of understanding context. But I will nonetheless.
Here’s the list. At the time, if I remember correctly, there were three or four on that list who had heavy academic issues, specifically Clarington and Becker.
There are also a few that just weren’t good enough.
So that left about a dozen UM caliber kids left over of which I said we should get at least 6-7 and that three was too low.
Calvin Ridley - Alabama
Tavadus McFadden - FSU
Shawn Burgess Becker - Alabama
Mark Walton - Miami
Devonaire Clarington - Not Coming
Da'Vante Phillips - FSU
Torrance Gibson - Ohio State
Jordan Scarlett - Miami
Jaquan Johnson - Miami
Tyrek Cole - West Virginia
Sh'Mar Kilby Lane - Florida State
Jovon Durante - West Virginia
Kendrell McFadden - West Virginia
Tim Irvin - Not Coming
DaVante Davis - Not Coming
Jordan Crokrite - Not Coming
Calvin Brewton - Florida State
Davante Peete - Not Coming
Antonio Callaway - Not Coming
How many of those “misses” ended up being busts, headaches or never qualifiers?
Man, you’re the worst possible mix of obsessive compulsive behavior and a total fuking nit wit.

Tweet from Louisville Courier Journal
Bobby Petrino is officially OUT as the Head Coach of Louisville Football, effective immediately, following his 2-5 start and failure to uphold values to the school and ethical standards
I wonder if he's going to hop on a motorcycle with a comely coed on the back and ride off campus flipping a bird as he goes.

Perry's video was childish. A QB at a Power 5 school needs to be a leader. A Miami player needs to be careful. Instead of filming the mo money video Mr. 13-32 against FSU and who completely did not see a wide open Brevin Jordan against UVA, get in the film room, do extra reps and get serious about this. Or, in the alternative, use that cash to fund your education. IJS

We got receivers who are not being covered...the article also states that we are always attacking outside the hash marks on our passing plays..nothing down the middle...the qb is not looking at the whole field...he is trained to look to a receiver that he reads before the snap...richt is grading the qbs on reading the defense and getting the ball to the hot relievers...but this is not pro ball...d backs leave receivers open ...our qbs are not looking at the whole field.

Richt has got to stop explaining what he did in the past in running the program...he needs to focus on the seriousness of doing the job...dont patronize the team or the fans...just focus on challenging the team..in the end its not about the inexperience of freshman or the talent level..those are all excuses...its the next guy up and beating the guy in front of you...

1999 miami vs boston college
this is the one where we were way way behind and ken kelly and jackson put the team on their back and came all the way back with 7 seconds to go
No way our current offense plays from behind like this

Rosier said Tuesday that the past two weeks — UM didn’t play last weekend — have been much more productive for all three units of the offense, which he said have “been dominating.’’
“We’ve actually had [defensive coordinator Manny] Diaz yelling at the defense for the first time in a long time — us throwing touchdowns, us doing a good job with our progressions,’’ said Rosier.
Who the hell do they think they are fooling????

Can someone name me the last time that a HC who took his college team to greatness, left, and then came back had equal or greater success the second time? I wanted Butch back, but that question was always in my mind.
Petrino brings that question to mind once more.

Sophomore year, good times. Miami was 2-3 and ranked #23 that game. Somehow 5-2 qualifies them for #25 two decades later...
Also, Rosier would eat that 1999 BC team alive in both halves because he'd cut everything off tackle at the first hint of pressure while constantly getting outside but wouldn't probably win without his current defense instead of what he would have back then to get the ball back for him.
Even moved down to fourth all time on the career rush yardage list under the current record keeping arrangement, James Jackson is the championship holding record book, "right place right time," Hurricane football player, I'm sure of it more every time I watch the old highlights.
Posted by: orange 'n green in the vein | October 23, 2018 at 08:00 PM
Just skimmed an interview of Rosier in the Herald and I saw this quote from Rosier as he attempted to defend himself regarding his critics.
"But there’s more to a quarterback than, ‘OK, can he throw a ball?’"
Those words apparently came from Rosier...I try not to be to hard on them but...

Don't tell Joe Zagacki (UM homer) that. This is a TRUE story...I once met him at an event and told him this: "I don't care if Devin Hester knows the offense or not, just have three plays designed for him called D1, D2 and D3. Everybody else on offense knows what to do, Devin just has to get the ball and SCORE!"
He told me I was crazy.
I told him he doesn't know shyte and he doesn't want UM to score or win games. Then I said: "I am not cool with that you homer, shook his hand and walked a way.
Posted by: SOUP | October 23, 2018 at 09:27 PM
Ingrahm only joins, 4 other 4 star or better defensive linemen for the Tide. Why because they have after college get a job program and unlike other schools they will get him ready for the pros. Tell u the truth I don't think Richt was recruiting him hard enough but he hasn't taken an official to Miami yet.
This is why The Herb stays pissed because year after year our back door keeps getting kicked in by these other schools and stealing these dudes out from under our noses, just a dam fox breaks in the chicken coop and gets his dinner, ain't a dam thing we can do about it, except go back to New York and look for another DT.
