Go Canes!!

And getting uglier.

Rex

It’s official. Miami is a basketball school.

His Majesty The Dude on High

Blake still waiting to "see how this plays out."

His Majesty The Dude on High

I dont like basketball.

Herbieibis

Her fat azz has been singing. When Aretha left, so did we.

His Majesty The Dude on High

Maybe we lose the game to VA keeping Kosi in there, but I think we bounce back against BC & Duke, perhaps we beat GT as things are starting to click better and we are in a nice spot for the ACC CG. Id be feeling confident going on the road to VT and eeking out a win, and finally punishing Pitt. Miami imo would be 10-2 going into the game with Clemson. Stick with your QB.

His Majesty The Dude on High

This GT game was Perry finishing the UVA game. Now we can see what he does next against VT.

Go Canes!!

TD I’ve read so much unconfirmed stuff about Perry off the field I honestly don’t know what to think about why he hasn’t been in there.

The kid had a really nice game today imo. Hopefully he can build from there and give us a reason to watch.

Cause good lord the turnovers, predictable play calling, embarrassing o line play and penalties make watching games impossible to stomach.

I had a better time in the rain at Animal Kingdom that day

If we had an offense, we would be interested.

Perry going forward is our only option.

Watching the Richt conference when they brought up the OL and it penalties and its play, Richt said, "I'm not gonna tell yall how I really feel about that." Me reading too much into it: Stacey Searels is the reason my offense isnt working. This also tells me at least Searels is gone and we'll be looking for a new coach. I highly recommend Eric Wolford from S. Carolina. I watched his team today create very clean pockets, and his guys moved the DL. After this loss, I dont think Richt has the option to call his plays next year. I think Thomas Brown or Jon Richt could take the L for the new OC. Lastly, he knows Hartley isnt the man for ST, that could cost him his job, but he's super valuable as a recruiter.

WWIN

Last night's sunset was beautiful. Hope today's' sunrise is the same because what happened last night in Atlanta was definitely not something to behold.

Under Richt's leadership, we've learned the team's blood type: O negative. Now who's going to apply the tourniquet?

roachcane77

The WHOLE country... (or anyone who happened to tune in to that clusterf#¢k) watched a well coached team vs. a poorly coached team.

Players did not execute. Players play in games how they are prepared in practice. We are not preparing our players properly.

Searels has to be gone, like today, if there's going to be any chance of having a halfway decent OL recruiting class this year.

Think the new December signing period has changed when HCs have to fire and replace guys.

BEERicane

We were ranked #8 and now we aren’t even going to make a bowl game. We suuuuuuuuuck.

BEERicane

No matter how you slice it, the reality is that Richt has proven to be a massive downgrade compared to Golden. He should be embarrassed AF. Richt is the guy who officially killed off Miami football. It’s over. We play in the garbage half of a garbage conference and can’t score any damn points. Honestly, I think right now there are probably some decent D3 teams that would give us problems. It’s that bad. We have the single worst offense in the nation and there is no arguing it’s not. THE WORST. Our special teams are even worse than that...

Terrance Sullivan

Lol maybe FSU vs Miami can rematch in Orlando on December 8 after the Army vs Navy Game in the We Suck Piss Poor Bowl on those Football Practice Fields next to Camping World Stadium lol.

VfB_Cane

I don't know when or why it happened, but Richt has lost this team some time ago.

The Canes now play sloppy (turnovers), undisciplined (penalties) and uninterested (taking plays off).

In a situation like that, only a total makeover of the coaching staff will help.

AeroCane

Everyone sees it - we’ve seen it since last year’s pitt game - but why doesn’t the bot and bj see this is beyond me

Yes, definitely! Why not?
We ought to use the remaining two games (albeit likely losses) as "double secret" preseason practice for 2019.

P.S. Incidentally WWIN, how's that turnover chain working for U these days? Are we getting the top recruits? Are we getting lots wins against D-1 teams? Are we even getting lots of turnovers? Are we getting ANYTHING other than embarrassed?

BEERicane

Don't be surprised if CMR resigns at the end of the season, soon after our sixth consecutive loss.

What's good Legion/Canespace? First, Happy Veterans Day to my fellow veterans everywhere. Second, it is time for a massive overhaul of this coaching staff and a complete purge of this roster (Coaches: J Richt, Searles, Hartley, players: Feagles, Spicer, Knowles, G. Brown, Hillery, Milo, Martin, Polendey, etc. Third, there need to be an influx of JC players on the roster for next year. Fourth, some players should be asked to change positions for the sake of having more explosive players on the field (i.e. Travis Hormer possibly moving to corner, etc.). Last, U need to stop being cheap and being to fill their roster with scholarship players and just sit on scholarships. Just my take, enjoy your day Veterans Day!

Nemo - the turnover Chain does not bother me. It was meant to motivate the defense and it does that. The media blew it out of proportion. The defense has its flaws but it is not the reason we are where we are. Blake James needs to wake up and do his job and lock up Diaz or get fired.

What an ish show we have been seeing. Shat football and empanadas for everyone LOL.

What, everybody isn't on the edge of their seat today to read the next Fake Lames talking point report with GD and his tl;dr blob sharts about some underage teenage boy's jock he's huffing for the rest of the year harder than he gurgles the over-promoted ticket distributor in the AD office's choad? Well, that counts as progress then!

Anybody just deluded enough to actually pay to travel to see this tale of two teams going in opposite directions has my sympathy. The good news is this next game is a tale of two shitty teams going in the same direction, down the drain with the rest of the attempted football playing nuggets in a circle. Special teams finally got to hand away their third loss this season, has the corch in charge of not doing that with that third of the game been sent out of the football office in shame after being fired yet? Hahahahahahaha, just kidding we all know there's an excuse being crafted right now to deflect from the thief on the payroll instead of action being taken to correct the problem! It is obvious that the Canes weren’t very good this season. But remember ND lost 8 games two seasons ago, and ND was smoked last season. Ian Book looked horrible in his play last season at the Rock. ND fans weren’t too happy with Kelly, and there were calls for his ouster.

HC Brian Kelly made a few changes on his staff, the players have been developed and now two years removed from an 8-loss season, Brian Kelly is a hero.

CMR will have to make some offensive coaching staff changes, and he needs to recruit more talent. CMR also need to stop playing favoritism to certain players, and play the best people. At WR, there are two many drops, poor routes and stupid penalties. At RB, Cam Davis showed us that he could be the best RB on the team (with Lingard out).

Deejay, Cager and Mahoney should play a lot less this season because their backups are better. I like Jordan, but he didn’t play well. I wonder if by next season, Mallory will be the true playmaker at TE because he showed me something last night with his size, speed and agility.

orange 'n green in the vein

So much for TS knowing what a one score margin of victory implies regarding execution versus preparation. Actually, TS Mike Bradley never did, so nothing was lost by him after all except some sleep on the roach motel floor!

"Posted by: WWIN | November 11, 2018 at 11:38 AM"

Can't make award winning omelettes from breaking gold-hen eggs. But you can get a tidy bowl date by locking the doors and opening up with dual wield on a garbage load of chokies just like everybody else has this season! Their special teams are just as putrid as Miami's so finally it's only a push there instead of the reason why UM will lose 75% of the time.

herbieibis

What does N.Dame have that we don't, An Offensive line! They would get smoked by Bama, Clemson, OSU, and Georgia. tThey wouldn't beat Michigan now.

He's a freshman who's only made a couple of starts behind a horrific offensive line and a bad OC calling plays.

He's shown he has the arm strength to make every throw accurately and can tuck it and run effectively.

Seeing the whole field will hopefully come with more experience and better offensive line play.

mi@mic@ne

Richt owes the team an apology for tanking the season when he took Perry out... our only hope getting to the next level in the Virginia game..now its too late....richt is the giant sucking sound you hear coming from the side lines....

mi@mic@ne

Over the years ive seen teams who lose a very important game to their conference rivals. The winner of that game will give the team a psychological boost to the rest of the season. The loser usually does not recover. In the good ole days the teams that played us were convinced that they were gonna lose. We need a coach who is good at organization and knows what games will make or break a season. Right now this coach is clueless. He has taken all of the motivation out of the team.

mi@mic@ne

We haven't even hit the plateau of being in the top 5 where every game is a national representation of our dynasty...we havent even been close since 2003

herbieibis

In this conference, there is no reason on this earth that we should ever lose 4 games, never, not with how we recruit compared to these other teams.
There are always going to be at least 3 games a year, that u may struggle, maybe a bad quarter or half and u may run up against a team that is just better than u. The good teams find a way to win those type of games, probably 75 to 80% of the time.
Are we better than Clemson, hell no! Are we close, talent wise, not far off on paper but of course this game isn't played on paper. No team, except for FSU and Clemson has out recruited us.
So where is the problem, MANY!
I believe most of the problem is preparation and coaching. There are some players whom have bombed or shouldn't be on this team, Reaches if U will. We all know who those players are, so I'm not mentioning them. One Maybe, Feagles!
Searles, just plain stinks. Is it his fault that we have only one offensive tackle on the whole roster, partly.
but Richt has to be as responsible, because he signs off on these crewts or maybe he is to trusting in their evaluations of said players.

It looks to me that the special teams job was dumped into Harleys lap and it shows because obviously it looks like they spend a minute all week on it.

The offense is old and dated. We don't get the big time road graders to run a pro style offense. We aren't like Bama, with 225 lb. battering ram running backs stacked three deep or have 5 stars stacked 3 deep on the offensive line. We are recruiting spread guys to try and run the pro style and it ain't working.
Change the offense to a spread, Like Oak. St and Oakl. run.
Speed is all over the state of Florida. De's, LB's, Rb's, Wr's, and TE's are a dime a dozen but the same can't be said for offensive and defensive linemen. We are not doing a good job on a consistent basis on those 2 positions. Yes we have some talent but we get one here or there.
We need talent and depth of it. I've been on here for years blasting about the DT position and we finally have some but it's still a position that is not recruited that hard and we are still reaching to much.
How can u ignore the fact that u are not getting offensive tackles in recruiting.
Richt has brought in 9 O-linemen in the last 2 years and not one Tackle. NOT ONE!
The Defense will probably be gutted by graduation and people leaving early and LB is another position that has not been looked after. After our starting LB's who do we have to step in. Jennings, Stead, Wilder and 3 freshmen and 2 of those guys need to put on some serious weight.
We need NEW.
Searles has got to go, Yesterday.
Hartley stays as TE coach, only.
J. Richt gets the apron strings cut and we get and OC who is also the QB coach.
Richt is a facilitator, slash manager.
Get a special teams coach.
Do we need 2 DB coaches probably not, so one of them has to go.
Patke, I have no clue.
Whoever he brings in should be a spread guy, no more of the same shyt and also these new guys need to be good recruiters.
This is how it should be done, now does Richt haves the balls to do it?

mi@mic@ne

Why is it that we cant connect on a long ball ..i mean at least 80 percent of the time...when we were good we hardly ever missed the fly....we missed two against gt...its frustrating.

Great post.

If M.R. isnt going to be fired, then...

Fire Brown. Have Hartley coach RBs/TEs, relieve him of ST duties. That puts him at about 10 scholarships a year to manage, which is right where a lesser paid coach should be. Hire Don Soldinger as a RB quality control assistant for Hartley, kind of like a Chief in the Navy is to an Officer.

Fire Jon Richt. Hire Yurcich from Oklahoma State, Yost from Utah State, or Briles from Houston.

Fire Searels. Hire Wolford from South Carolina.

Hire Shane Beamer from Oklahoma as STC.

Make Manny Diaz AHC.

mi@mic@ne

AeroCane

Yes!
Big safeties became speedy LB’s, big lengthy athletes who usually played basketball became DL (Daniel Stubbs, etc);
I will say the freshman DE who got injured earlier in the year was going to be awesome and hopefully will be good to go next season

MLAlumni1970

Can't fire the players, so the U MUST fire the coach. Or demote him to a recruiter. CALL HIM THE HEAD COACH, PAY HIM HIS FUCKIN' (SORRY) MONEY.
Send him all over the country, recruiting new players. Keep him on the road, 24/7.
PAY Blake James his high salary, and send him on the road too, singing "On The Road Again."
The Board of Trustees has the final say, and now we find out if they have any meatballs.
What is the process for running for Board of Trustees? 86 should surely run. And Canechic would be great as team with 86. I ran up here in Michigan, for 30 years. County Commissioner for 10 years and Road Commissioner for 20.
I am so pissed that the Alumni and all the FORMER GREATS in sports need to pack their meetings etc., and demand changes.
WE ALL PAID TOO MUCH IN TUITION and TOLERATED MEDIOCRITY TOO LONG.
Love the Turnover Chain, but we need a Chain Gang for all the losing coaches and Athletic Directors.
I deserve better. I am now 70 years old and cannot take this crap anymore.

BEERicane

Daaaaaaang, ML is a straight-up gangsta! Love it!!

mi@mic@ne

when you going full speed and you got a d back fighting to get position..you got to practice that situation over and over again so that you get comfortable adjusting you route and your hands in order to catch the ball...the relievers used to play long ball with the d backs thousands of times in the off season...we look clueless now on the fly... that used to our bread and butter.

herbieibis

Bring Gary Stevens out of retirement for our QB coach.

roachcane77

Unless he decides to retire, (which I DON'T see happening), CMR is the HC as long as he wants it. He is everything the BOT wants. W/L record will NOT factor into his tenure as HC.

Our ONLY hope, is that he is "pressured" to hire an OC. In every interview I have EVER seen or read,CMR has shown NO INCLINATION to give up the OC reigns, or doubt his ability to handle the job.

Our OL and DL recruiting is pitiful, and the OL coaching and development is just horrible. We will NEVER regain national prominence without VAST improvements in our line play.

I have said nothing new to anyone on this site. Just need to vent... Why is this all so obvious to everyone except our coaches?

Good afternoon WWIN.

I guess you forgot how you raved about the Turnover Chain earlier in the season - in repose to one of my posts suggesting that UM ought to consider retiring the Chain. Didn't you say that the Chain was really great for the Canes, that it was inspirational, and that it was attacting lots of recruits, etc.?

Simply stated, when we were WINNING you thought that the popular Chain was a motivational factor that contributed somehow to our success. But now that we are COMMITTING too many turnovers, LOSING too many games, and and our 2018 recruiting class is NOT EVEN RANKED in the top 25, the TO Chain is somehow irrelevant. Right?

I do enjoy reading your posts. And I want you to know that I agree with most of them.

However, I respectfully suggest that you ought not be too quick to be too critical of others - when they post something you don't like.

herbieibis

Rumor has it that Anthony Soloman may flip to Michigan.

Diaz keeps growing, this would be a LETHAL combination.

I think Florida guys would respond to his demeanor. He is a hard ass that will drop a flurry of f bombs when needed, but can also be a little lighter
