BEERI,
For the love of god don't go straight home

BEERicane

We were 8 preseason... 😂😂😂

TonyCane

Goodbye Richt. There are no excuses. Duke gave up 50 in its last game. We scored 12.

Failure.

I’m willing to take the hit now in recruiting to get rid of this millstone.

86Cane

The Optimist in me tried but was embarrassed.

Pessimist in me is about to come out.

Hide the women and children.

This will not be pretty.

TonyCane

Things have regressed to the point that I am no longer certain we could score against Savannah state

His Majesty The Dude on High

K. Im officially on the fire Richt train. No redemption, no change the OC, I want the whole O staff removed, and a new HC since Richt let Helfrich walk.

BEERicane

Embrace the suck. Wife, here comes an ass-fukkkk

solarcane

"We just didn't execute the the plays were there...hey let go of my throat"

Alex

People are getting btired of his good guy schitck...

richt is gonna get roasted in the media

Posted by: mi@mic@ne | November 03, 2018

TonyCane

Dude, I agree.

Bring on the Syracuse coach. He knows how to rebuild a program that was in a far worse state. At this point, we would have been better keeping Al Golden. Richt is as relevant to today’s football as Jeff Fischer.

86Cane

It is not Richt's fault.

It rained during the game.

He didn't ask for that, now did he?

BEERicane

Get Stoops.

mi@mic@ne

the team did not really care tonight...thats what happens when the coaching is bad

Alex

If you like a coach to stick around for a while and be innovative, you need to hire a coach with defensive background. Offensive geniuses can get irrelevant pretty quickly.

86Cane

I am sad.

I am tired.

I will talk to you peeps tomorrow.

BEERicane

Man, if we would have gone Pirate, we’d be #3-5 right now.

mi@mic@ne

the pirate would have fit right in with the face pace of the miami culture.......richt is not a good fit...way too fast

TonyCabe

YEah, it rained on Duke too.

Hire Diaz as head coach.

WWIN

You win some... you lose some... but you live to fight another day

Herbieibis

The Herb says this and listen up for all u Perry drullers, he sucks. Now Rosier stinks but all u guys clamoring for this better pull the Stevie Wonders off.
This offensive staff has failed miserably not only with development, which I cluced the O-Line, QB's and the route running of our WR's, which I stated last year. We can't punt or kick. Yes the weather stunk but it stunk for Duke too. They didn't have to much of a problem punting or kicking. We had what over 250 yds. Rushing, yet the last 8 minutes we didn't run until we were behind by 8 and less than 3 minutes left and we run 4 straight times. This team on offense is poorly coached and sumbody needs to put the heat on Richt. Perry has played enough not to look like a sad sack. Probably their best QB is suspended.
I can hear that punch drunk Richt in his post game presser acting like he just inhaled a half a bottle of jeritol acting like everything is under control. Epic efffffffing fail!!!

CoCane

The nail in the coffin.

A moment of silence for the program...

And FUKK RICHT!!! 🤬

BEERicane

if golden had Diaz he would still be our coach. Richt has Diaz and should lose his job. Golden was better than Richt. Though I think the next coach is in a better spot than when Richt took over.

VA Cane

I'd just.......run it up the middle..... too on 3rd and one.....Beeri...take on pump for me.....

God

Forgot to mention......SB.....cold weather and... technique.....gotta look good doing the same three plays....

TonyCane

Posted by: BEERicane | November 03, 2018 at 10:52 PM

You can potentially make that argument. Richt probably a better recruiter - perhaps not after tonight - than Golden.

If Golden has Richt, I'd say our record would be:

2011: 10-2
2012: 9-3
2013: 9-4 (same as real record)
2014: 9-4
2015: 10-3

There were enough close games - even with the prevent defense on goal line scheme - where Diaz would have made that much of an impact.

solarcane

Leach will punch at least one of his defensive players in the next two minutes

Go Canes!!

This whole team suck, from the HC down to the long snapper

solarcane

You can't spell suck without the U

mi@mic@ne

We had Butch and Heflech in the office for the job...we told you so.

Herbieibis

Dook coughs up 54 against Pitt. We, who supposedly have all this so called talent score 12. Watching LSU and Bama and I can't figure out who has a worse offense us or LSU. How can 2 schools that recruit well, look so lost on offense, well I do, no good throwing QB'S and no offensive imagination.

BEERicane

https://twitter.com/_joshrwhite/status/1058912647385620480?s=21

And there it is...

WWIN

Now... can someone please pass Go Canes the list of other top teams that lost or didn't play well on awfense to post so we won't feel as bad? That usually does the trick!

solarcane

When a receiver drops a pass, why does the defensive back that was beaten on the play wave his arms and beat his chest? Did he do some kind of db mind control not detected by the human eye?

TonyCane

If anything is possible at this point, does that include Mark Richt's retirement?

His Majesty The Dude on High

With AG suing the program, maybe we could work out a deal to just have him replace Richt's O staff?

solarcane

Washington State more fun to watch for 14 minutes than the Canes for a season

TonyCane

Perhaps the real Mark Richt is missing. Perhaps it's actually D'No in disguise....getting his revenge.

nemo2002

Da U

nemo2002

Yes, of course, we lost.
But it makes no difference, because the season was ova (anyway) after our loss to BC (and our loss to VA).
And yes, after the loss this week to Duke, we'll probably lose again next week (to GT).
And we can't be too optimistic about our chances against VT or Pitt in the remaining games.
However, the season isn't a COMPLETE loss, because we did beat FSU (again) and a couple of cupcakes too (to pad our early season stats): Florida Sweetwater U and Savannah St.
Besides, we have a gaudy "turnover chain" and a $40 million IPF. So, the future is bright! Right?

solarcane

Tony so sad Houston is like 7 1 even with d no, although smu might beat them tonight
But then again Houston has a oc

Posted by: nemo2002 | November 03, 2018 at 11:39 PM

I don't want to see the turnover chain again until the games start to mean something. At this point, seeing the chain is like seeing a wide receiver celebrating a touchdown late in the fourth quarter after his team fell behind 59-3.

solarcane

We will back real quick.
I hear the next quarterback is the real deal and can start as a red shirt freshman, win the ACC with this oc and o line.

BEERicane

I heard Clemson had Williams as their top QB target last year but settled for Lawrence. We should be straight.

WWIN

Can we just give PMR the IPF back and call it even???

MIA Chi Cane ‘98

I’m not sure who is worse... Perry or Malik?

Herbieibis

Sapp looks like congressman with his comments about Right ht last week.
We lacked WR at one point, now we have a ton of them.
We lacked depth of talent at Rb, now we have it.
We had no depth at QB, now we have it but we forgot the talent part.
We got depth at O-Line but we forgot the tackle position.
We have over 100 players on our roster but not one player who can punt a ball more than 37 yds.
This team on has offense has taken on the demeanor of their coach, cool calm and disinterested.

Punting is HARD!

86Cane

At least from what I am told?

His Majesty The Dude on High

Since Miami has checked out on the season, so have I. I'm only watching football thats enjoyable from now on. The ONLY thing I have to comment on are staff changes. MR should be fired for not hiring Mark Helfrich.

Whats crazy is we saw the red flags add up along the way, and here they are biting us in the @ss yet Richt thinks we dont know football? B*tch please, if anyone knows what a sorry coach looks like, its us. Time to retire Mark.

IraqiCane

Jon Beason is telling it on 560 right now.

JCane

Just check what matters. Only gave up 20, two running backs over 100 yards each...all means we kicked ass, right?

A new low.

TonyCane

Just when you think you've reached the bottom of the barrel, you lift it up and find that there's a whole new level of vermin and yuck beneath it.

His Majesty The Dude on High

Make Lane Kiffin highest paid OC in CF, give him complete say over coaches on O, make him HCiW. Retain Diaz & staff. Officially time to strip Richt of all power and force him out.

Ron Cane 01

I just pray that the influential boosters and members of the administration get together and put up the money to not only buyout Richt but also hire a top coach AND top staff. Its not my money to spend so I can only hope that the folks with the money and power in this program
take action and fix this mess. Richt may have been a very good coach in the past but his time has passed. The passion, desire, and drive to succeed are not there along with a stubborn refusal to make the necessary changes to move the program forward. Just a very depressing time right now being a fan and alum.

TonyCane

Herbieibis

Tony, I'll tell u what's at the bottom of the barrel, it's this football team. We have officially hit rock bottom, as have FSU and The Crocs aren't far behind. Not a dam QB worth a shot at all 3 schools or one offensive coordinator.

IraqiCane

I don’t see how money can be the issue with the amount that they get from the ACC and ESPN.

TonyCane

Realistically, would Miami buy him out? The trend lines are absolutely horrid. Once a program loses hope, they lose recruits and you get a death spiral. Or are we stuck with Richt until 2023, or until we get a year where the Hurricanes score a seasonal total of under 100 points.

In retospect, Brad Kayaa made the right call in leaving. Richt would not tailor his offense enough to fit his skill set, and Brad went from a potential first rounder to a late round pick based on his performance. Had he stayed another year, he would have gone undrafted.

His Majesty The Dude on High

Posted by: TonyCane | November 04, 2018 at 12:49 AM

Lane Kiffin OC & HCiW at 2.0 Million a year. He's a splash hire, fixes recruiting right away, and we'll win on the field too. Have to keep Manny also, fire/force retire Richt after a couple of seasons.

His Majesty The Dude on High

JoeJack liling tweets saying Jon & Searels shoould be fired.

AeroCane

I think only WW agreed with me weeks ago: it’s clear this guy doesn’t have ‘it’; we are losing recruits, we can’t get elite recruits (except far and in between); guys will start transferring;
Like in business: cut your losses, take a step or 2 back to move leaps and bounds forward;
Fire this Georgia reject and let’s move on;
I say make manny the interim HC and bring on a HC who: will hire aggressive and in the 21st century with their schemes coordinators; wont call his own plays; and won’t hire family;
JUST DO IT!
Canespace friends: we’ve lost to pitt, va, BC and duke within the last 12 games; FIRE mark ‘loser’ richt!

AeroCane

PS I have no doubts that if we played FSU, uf, Ucf, we lose to all;
A team that digresses is a team that needs to fire their coach! Nebraska would crush us and they are like 2-6

AeroCane

1last thing:
Some of you on here have tried to compare richt to Dabo: there’s NO comparison; sure it took Dabo a number of years to get Clemson to where they are now BUT Dabo was in his first HC gig at Clemson; we hired an experienced HC and paid him well to come in and win and compete; he’s doing neither

On that note and I’m very torn: my daughter is being ‘recruited’ very hard to university of Alabama law; they are flying us up today thru Tuesday, taking care of rental car, hotel etc; not yet serious but we will see; I’m very proud of her as she got full scholarships to both UF and FSU law and REJETED both;

Dwight

Just saw this morning that a Division 3 punter named Austin Baker from Heidelburg University hit a punt 95 yards,60 yards in the air. He is an All American but its D-3 folks. Our punters can barely punt it 30 yards in the air and those are their good kicks. Sad state of affairs regarding this program right now.

BEERicane

Though Rosier held players available for poor execution, he seemed to question the coaching in a postgame interview with WQAM on Saturday when he said: “We’ve got to learn to change when other people change, not give people the same look.”

Daaaaaamn - though be sucks as a player, Rosier with a sick burn there. Love it!!

http://amp.miamiherald.com/sports/spt-columns-blogs/barry-jackson/article220987780.html

Barry Jackson should be fired for this Richt half support stay the course nonsense.

solarcane

Does this sound familiar?

In 2010, Swinney led Clemson to a 6–6 (4–4 in ACC) regular season. Of the 6 losses in the 2010 season, 5 were by less than 10 points and 4 were by 6 points or less. The season included close losses to Cam Newton and the eventual national champion Auburn Tigers (27–24 on the road in OT), and the eventual division champion Florida State Seminoles (16–13 on a 55-yard, time-expiring field goal on the road). After the conclusion of the regular season, many fans called for the firing of both Swinney and athletic director Terry Don Phillips.[11] Swinney would say years later he expected to be fired after the regular season ended with a loss to South Carolina.[14] Don Phillips instead gave Swiney a vote of confidence and allowed him to return for the 2011 season.[15] Discontent with Swinney grew even more after a bowl loss to South Florida made Clemson's final record 6-7, Clemson's first losing season since 1998. Swinney, who was 19-15, entered the 2011 season widely considered to be a coach on the hot seat.[16] Despite a disappointing 6–7 record, the 2010 team featured one of the nation's top defenses and the Bronko Nagurski and Ted Hendricks award winner, Da'Quan Bowers.

Old Skool

Damn. This season's been a cliff dive.

Terrance Sullivan

We Suck! That is All!

BEERicane

No, doesn’t sound familiar at all. We’ve never been competitive in any game against the upper talents of college football. At least they were competitive vs good FSU and an outstanding Auburn team. We can’t even beat Duke.

HillviewCane

I wouldn't fire Richt unless he didn't make some coaching changes. I think he get's 1 year. A lack of coaching changes would show a total lack of self-awareness though

Old Skool

If optimism needs a cure, this offense offers it. ESPN has four highlights from the game and one of them is a marriage proposal.

nemo2002

Good morning Spacers.
I just checked in to see what condition my condition was in.
Yeah
Yeah
Yeah

AeroCane

Solar
I respectfully diasgree - as I just said earlier this morning - no effing comparison!
Dabo was in his first HC gig - Our loser HC is in his 18th year.
We hired him to come in and compete and win immediately no OTJ training and he is doing none of it

BEERicane

Randy Shannon with Al Golden is a winner!

Go Canes!!

Posted by: solarcane | November 04, 2018 at 07:52 AM

It certainly does and last night weather was a factor. But that was unwatchable football.

Both QBs looked completely lost, had zero confidence and the offense looked flat for giant portions of the game.

Justin Fuente, a supposed offensive guru, is hearing it too. But you watch their offense and it looks far better than ours.

https://twitter.com/AndyBitterVT/status/1059064106618105856

Stan Wenkie

Blake James needs to go. Now.

nemo2002

Is N'Kosi Perry really a potent "dual threat" QB - with a "high ceiling"? I don't think so.
He isn't a particularly good runner. And he certainly in no Brad Kaaya when it comes to tossing the rock.
And, physically, he is too skinny to be a durable power five QB. Indeed, his weight is closer to 165 than 195.
Give me a tall, strong, QB - who can accurately PASS the ball to speedy wide receivers - and let the running backs RUN with the ball.
THAT is UM football. Not this "dual threat" crap.

86Cane

Did we score yet?

solarcane

Aero,BEERI,
No sweat.
The point I was trying to make, was we as fans expect any change made in a staff will result in immediate improvement.

It doesn't matter if a guy is a first time head coach or thirty year veteran, the fans expect the next guy up to be a great improvement over the guy that got canned.

To me it was a very familiar story was the point I was trying to make.
I don't know if cmr will be here next year or for ten years but I am almost certain he won't be calling plays.

Go Canes!!

Is it just me or does it seem like we start every f-ing drive from our own 5 yard line while our opponents start them around midfield.

Go Canes!!

Good points Solar.

CGNC

Goodmorning! Yeah the game stunk. Solar, it poured, but it is partially covered so where I was sitting was no problem. Fans booed CMR when they showed him onthe jumbotron LOL. There were people booing but it is directed at starting and staying with #12. Perry was cheered initially because it signaled that maybe, just maybe, CMR acknowledges there is a change that needs to be made. Unfortunately the change is him. Perry is not the answer, clearly.

There was a good turnout for the game. Nice to see Raize and meet Mrs. Raize and also Kenny, KYCane and Mrs. KYCane.

86 - I so get why you don't want to spend $$ to see this. For us, it is an hour car ride and easier on the wallet.

The rain didn't fail the players and the fans. The AD and HC did.

86Cane

CGNC...I told you that you would boo at the game or wish you did on the way home. Which was it?

CGNC

Posted by: solarcane | November 04, 2018 at 08:54 AM

Dabo hired Brent Venables and then had a great defense too. I like him as a head coach - he knew he needed help there and hired it. I think we as fans have been patient - this is year 3 and we are looking at 5-7. Our HC doesn't look like he puts much planning into much, we look unprepared in more aspects than one. He needs to give up the OC gig and get after/spend time with/pay attention to the quarterbacks because they look/are/play LOST.
When they showed the scores at the game for other teams, everyone is scoring points, but us. Ugh.

Golden - now that is funny. First thing he would do is fire Manny and coach the D like he did before. Big fat NO here.

I remember when we were looking for a coach before Golden and his notebook showed up - OGV wanted Orgeron and before that the Pirate LOL.

CGNC
