Like everyone on the Canespace blog I have my moods. I have been the greatest optimist and the most dire pessimist at different times. In fact, over the last 14 years, I have probably had enough angst to last a lifetime.
But today, for some unknown reason, I am feeling generously optimistic.
I believe in this team because, well, because I suddenly want to, and I do.
As you watch the game think of this blog as I am making a BOLD prediction:
- The Miami Hurricanes offense will look like a well oiled, efficient machine versus Duke.
- The running game will get un-tracked racking up over 200 yards.
- The passing game will feature quick hitters and yards after catch and a few BIG plays.
- UM will score 34 points in easy fashion while holding the opposition down to 13 points.
- The "Turnover Chain" will be loud and proud during this game appearing three times.
- Miami will return a kick for a TD as special teams look special.
I believe in Coach Mark Richt and I believe in this team.
So prove me right or prove me wrong.
The optimist in me wants to see what you got!

Jet. Sweep. Option.
But on that play no, it was just a give up the middle, 70 yards and a TD.
Posted by: Dude on a Pale Horse | November 03, 2018 at 01:17 PM
Actually WW is Correct
If it wasn’t for Ammon breaking that exciting td against wv, we probably get blown out.
And most fans on here agree.
Richt just doesn’t have ‘it’, but we’re stuck with him

He's one of those guys that will die never getting it! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Posted by: WWIN | November 03, 2018 at 01:21 PM
Kaaya got a grade of 58 that game and this fool talking about the awfense was rolling! YOU CAN'T MAKE THIS STUFF UP
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Then this fool gon say we didn't play bad the 1st half only the first 20min! Well in EVERYBODY else's mind... being bad 20/30min is a BAD 1st half! AR82 and the defense saved that game! YOU CAN'T MAKE THIS STUFF UP!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Nebraska is giving Ohio St. all it can handle on the road. After watching how the OL and QB executed in the red zone, I am afraid that it is painfully obvious that the Canes OL isn’t well coached. Nebraska OL knew their assignments and they initiated the contact. The Canes consistently don’t do that in the red zone or anywhere else on the field
Posted by: BigWindyCane1 | November 03, 2018 at 01:32 PM
This is no fluke. Nebraska is physically kicking OSU’s a@&!
Posted by: BigWindyCane1 | November 03, 2018 at 01:43 PM
Big windy - so why doesn’t richt see this and fire searles?

Frost beating the number 10 team in the country with the same team that went 0 and 5 at the beginning of the season...is it really the players? he has only had one recruiting cycle..the team looks dialed in now...

According to the HC, he believes that Searels will get the job done as soon as some of the younger guys come of age... I think its just a lame excuse though, not sure if he really believes that. I watched Searels turn draftable players like McDermott & Darling into scrubs, same goes for St. Louis who went from solid to very average in a hurry. Donaldson obviously was not ready to play tackle, neither was anyone else on the roster. Guathier, Mahoney & Jones are some of the worst OL starters weve had in some time, all of them are so very bad. OL is probably the only thing as bad as the Awfensive concepts & play calling.
Posted by: Dude on a Pale Horse | November 03, 2018 at 01:59 PM
If Frost pulls off the upset I'll praise him as the best 3-6 coach in America. If not, hes 2-7.

I said we didn't have a bad first half against West Virginia dim wit. Again, all you do on here is twist things or flat out lie.
Only a fool rips a coach for not having explosive plays then turns around and says we only won because an explosive play bailed that same coach out.
This is your weakest troll attempt ever. And that list is long. All the smiley faces in the world won't change that.

That's what I said idiot! You can't read now either? You twist $hit around so much you can't keep it together! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Let's see here... NOBODY has agreed with you yet... on the other hand has anyone agreed with me? YES! But who's keeping count 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Stop trying to make it seem like we don't suck when EVERYBODY clearly can see we do... that's all you have to do! You can still be blindly optimistic but just stop trying to get us to see what's NOT THERE!

Clemson is playing on Rookie difficulty.
Posted by: Dude on a Pale Horse | November 03, 2018 at 02:55 PM
😂 Aero and WWIN
I will try to remain optimistic. If the Canes can somehow find a way to win the next four games, they will return to the ACC championship game and will be ranked. It seems doable, but after watching this offense perform this season, it’s also possible that the Canes could lose four in a row too.
Posted by: BigWindyCane1 | November 03, 2018 at 03:02 PM
The "U" has lost 6 out of 8 against power 5 teams. 3 of the losses to Pitt, UVA and BC...
The record speaks for itself

Jet sweep motion. Dabo smiling ear to ear as Clemson puts 77 on Lville.

We put 77 on Savannah St

savanah st is probably better than the birds lmao
Posted by: mi@mic@ne | November 03, 2018 at 03:36 PM
Big windy
Don’t get me wrong - I want us to win as well! I just want a better product on the field - as VA says, this is a poorly coached team
Posted by: AeroCane | November 03, 2018 at 03:48 PM
I like optimist Tom, but LOL offense coming out like a well oiled machine with #12 is a bit of a

Scott Frost, best 2-7 coach in America.

Again, have to take my hat off to Dabo Swinney.
He saw early he's probably going to have to score 30+ to beat the Tua-Bama machine, said screw it and benched Bryant in favor of the true freshman.
He had to know Bryant, who's undefeated, was going to transfer but he did it anyway.
Guy has built a program that may be even better than Bama's. No recruting decommits, they do an incredible job of developing guys, year in and year out their top juniors return and their program doesn't reek of mercenary type players.
Guy is a hell of a coach.

Six year rebuild. Lol.
A six year rebuild is what Butch took over at unc after they went 3-9 consecutive seasons before his arrival. They would be the beast of the Coastal but they scapegoated him for a scandal that happened prior to his tenure.
The only thing that makes UM look like a six year rebuild are garbage ass stubborn coaches of which your boy Richt is the latest. I know he is your fantasy, but he is showing to be what he has always been.......second rate like your takes.
You are an idiot. But it’s ok.
UM plays a basketball school at home in front of 10 people tonight. Maybe your crush will look less trash than he has the rest of this year.

TS Mike Bradley, doesn't like reality setting in so he has to un-flounce to shat up the blob with his usual tl;dr steaming piles of droppings.
Get GD to let you use the whambulance TS, they'll do their best to fix what ails you, but sid-tard GD needs another ride in it first today so you'll have to be really patient.

Dude, there were some good games today. Listening to the homers on QAM. They must think our fan base is dumb. Homer Bailey blaming tight ends and wide receivers. Laughable. Ignore the fact that we have not seen a decent QB from CMR yet.

thats the problem with the info coming out of the team...either the oline, qb, or receivers do not understand the plays but hes been success running these plays for years...lol

No, no, no, no, NO!
Scoring, especially early on in the game, is highly frowned upon by the NCAA and the League of Women Voters, of whom I both fear equally.

Hi everyone. GO CANES.
P.S. Do all of you have the little kids trick or treat on Halloween, all dressed up in costume? We did, but not very many kids this year. Maybe a closing thing now. Had so much fun as a kid going door to door for candy Halloween night.

Indeed 86 Cane. Poor sportsmanship all around. Gentlemen do not run up the score, or indeed even try for anything more than the solitary goal of fields. Golly good 86....golly good.
