Just get this tough season over with as soon as possible.

Herbieibis

Tee, just don't talk about it. 3/4 of us r football fans so just breathe and visualize it's spring football. I hate wishing time away, especially at my age but we got to do what we got to do dog!

VA Cane

I agree T Sully, get it over....its been very tough. We had a run or two in the past, but lets face it....we are...well are supposed to be a football factory. Factory was close to shut down several times....but maybe its starting to see a better work load and some higher production.
Lets hope so...like what I see so far. I want to have a good competitive season....we should certainly be able to be decent.....at least as good as last year or maybe better...think we know more after spring!

What makes you think it will be much better next year?

Saturday’s commitment of quarterback Peyton Matocha to the Miami football roster likely means that the Hurricanes are finished at the position for Surge ’19. Four-star QB Lance LeGendre canceled his visit as a result.

My wife and I want to go to the Miami vs Florida game in Orlando. Tickets are around $200 a piece right now. Any idea when prices may go down or not? Where is everyone sitting? We will be coming from Savannah, GA so it’s not that bad of a drive. Let me know any advice would be great.
Go Canes!!!

Go Canes!!

Between the buzz surrounding Manny and the Turds surprisingly good season that ticket is going to stay expensive imo.

I also noted that the vistor list for next weekend is short and getting shorter with LeGendre's change of plans. That signals to me that the roster spots are just about filled, and the coaches feel confident that they will get their intended targets.

If the Canes get who the pundits project them to get, this will be a very good class. Couple the new high school recruits with the transfers, and CMD and his staff have done a great job.

I do expect a few more Canes to transfer after Spring and after Fall camps, as the depth chart starts to shape up.

Supposedly the defensive liability midget that can't score anymore twisted an ankle in practice after the UNC failure at home. If you're down to seven scholarship players and you can't play two of them together because they're both midgets who can't guard and one is a recruiting blunder from down under, the idea that getting to at least eight usable healthy scholarship players will sequester the two defensive liability guards off the court from each other at the same time every minute of every game and thus greatly improve the team's ability to get defensive rebounds off stops suggests it can improve.

Even when Dewan never plays another collegiate minute, Gak and Miller added in with Wardenburg more than makes up for what Izundu is going to eligibility time out on the roster if you get near the same development out of them going into year three that UM traditionally has gotten in the last nine seasons from those four and five positions players they've had on their roster before them.

Whether that's enough to tread water back to the top half of the toughest conference in the game though is a completely different issue so it's no sure thing in 2020 even in the best case scenario.

33 years ago today, the Challenger flight ended in tragedy. I remember watching it live from outside my building.... :-(

Old Skool

Brings back memories ... I was outside in Boca on a shoot and looked up to see a large column of white smoke to nowhere and wondered what the heck that was all about.

Old Skool

Well... isn't that special

Clemson did not test — and has no plans to test — more members of its newly crowned national championship football team for performance enhancing drugs as part of an in-house probe in the wake of three ostarine suspensions last month. Failed drug tests kept star defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence and two other players out of College Football Playoff wins over Notre Dame and Alabama.

Fewer than 20 Clemson players were tested in a random and routine NCAA drug screening of championship event participants. That is, more than 15 percent of those Tigers screened tested positive for performance enhancing drugs (PEDs).

Barry: I know it's easy to allege anti-UM bias from NCAA. But.. when NCAA (unethically) pays Nevin Shapiro's attorney to question two reluctant witnesses to build its case against UM - and the unjustified Hernandez ruling today - it's easy to make that case of bias.

Medical issues reportedly caused him to drop a lot of weight, and while he was working to gain it back there was concern that he wouldn't be able to maintain it long-term.

80's Cane

Jason Munoz released from letter of intent. Going to Syracuse. Good! He was a reach to begin with. Hope we do the same with Zion Smith. Let him go to Appalachian State where he belongs. Wish we could get rid of Tyreic Martin, Bar Milo and a few others. At least Milo will be gone after 2019. Need a blue chip OL in 2020 class to take that scholarship. The days of Miami reaching for guys who aren't Miami caliber guys is over. Recruit the best to fill holes and if you fall short at one or two positions in that cycle use the transfer portal to fill that gap or worst case hold the scholarship for the next cycle. No more reaches like we had under Shannon, Golden, and at times with Richt. Blue chippers or bust going forward.

Old Skool

My guess for the new commit over the weekend is Emerson. There's hasn't been an official announcement because he wants to make it himself on February 6th. Otherwise, we would have likely learned the name by now

Go Canes I rarely post on here but I do read things on here from time to time and I have come to the conclusion that you are the biggest idiot on this board. No wonder you have so many enemies here. I stated a fact. If you don't like it that's your problem. The only thing I got wrong was about Bar Milo. I didn't know he left the team which someone here stated and I thank them for sharing that fact. My suggestion to you is to stop attacking other posters and learn to keep your mouth shut and then less people on here would despise you. Just a little free advice jackass.

80's Cane

Terrence Sullivan it was an oversight on my part. I didnt read the Barry Jackson article from yesterday. I acknowledged that in my last post and thank Nemo2002 for pointing that out to me in a professional way without criticism or a cheap shot.

Old Skool

I'd doubt it's Bogle. The guy seems to crave the attention. And the only way to do that is to keep everyone guessing. He wants to be the mystery box behind door #3.

Go Canes!!

Uhhh...You do know Munoz leaving had nothing to do with him having “ “Appalachian State” talent right?

The kid developed a medical condition that caused him to lose about 70 pounds he can’t seem to gain back. At that point he wasn’t a fit for us so it looks like both sides made a decision that’s right for everyone. So it wasn’t UM dumping a reach at all and your take was wrong. As was your take on Milo.

But none of that matters. What makes your post so douchy is wanting to get rid of some player Who goes to class and bust his ass every day in practice just because you don’t think he’s good enough. Once the kids signs the school should honor his scholarship as long as he does everything he can on his end Who goes to class and bust his ass every day in practice just because you don’t think he’s good enough. Once the kid is a Cane it’s our obligation to honor his scholarship cause the day he signed its pretty much guarantee just about everyone was cheering.

And as far as me you being all offended and me having enemies and being hated....welcome to the school yard. Toughen up and keep posting, just try and have any portion of it be correct.

Go Canes!!

I really hate dictation on the iPhone.

80's Cane

I was referring to Appalachian State regarding Zion Smith who was committed there and had few major offers not Munoz so get your facts straight and I know about Munoz and his condition and wish the kid well. Obviously Syracuse didnt have any reservations about it because they offered him. Scholarships are renewable each year and in case you didn't know every school from time to time nudges an underperforming player to transfer by telling him he isn't going to get much playing time, etc. Marques Ezzard comes to mind. As for toughning up ill run circles around you Go Canes. Nobody is afraid of you because you are the biggest moron on here as evidenced by your numerous feuds on here with several people. Anyway im done going back and forth with you. There are a lot of great and insightful posters on here and ill continue to come back and read what they have to offer up and just scroll past the likes of you.

CaneSince1982

etc. = etcetera; used when ending a list to indicate that the list goes on.

e.g = example; used before you are going to give an example.

I believe you were looking for “e.g.”

So no calling anyone a moron when you are unable to properly convey your thoughts in written word.

Go Canes!!

Dude, you keep getting facts wrong. Miami doesn’t do one year scholarships, we have guaranteed all four years for student athletes. As a matter of fact we were actually the pioneers of lifetime scholarships for student athletes. Any kid who leaves early for whatever reason has his four year ride guaranteed for life.

And Munoz was recruited by us as a defensive tackle. He’s not a defensive tackle anymore. Maybe Syracuse saw potential for him at LB or defensive end. Don’t know, don’t care. The numbers didn’t work for us and he agreeed so we parted ways.

Again, your holier than thou preachings would hold more weight if you could just get a fact right once in a while.

Canesince1982 my mistake was listing the sentence fragment after etc. I put etc. because there is a list of reasons why one would transfer. I made a mistake by putting the sentemce fragment after etc. so it seemed like I was using the Marques Ezzard example as part of the previous sentence but thanks for pointing it out. I only referred to Go Canes as a moron because he attacks numerous people on this board and he chose to attack me. I rarely post here but I guess anyone who has a different or controversial opinion that ruffles feathers gets roasted. Its cool im over it. Like I said Ill keep reading posts from the many good posters that are on here and will post less or not at all like before.l
