So we have been told that this is a game where UM could be lulled to sleep.
That Miami will be cold, content and stale and stumble across the finish line.

But I disagree. And disagree strongly.
Miami will be hot and bothered and somewhat nasty.
CANESPACE PREDICTION: Miami 51 - CMU 13
Let’s beat everyone left!!

FIU is now 1-3 so whatever Magic Butch had has evaporated. Now let's go out here and Kick CMU Arse Later Today at the Rock!
Posted by: Terrance Sullivan | September 21, 2019 at 12:35 AM
Dam, haven't I seen those 2 chicks before and they still look the same, GOOD!!!!
Posted by: Herbieibis | September 21, 2019 at 12:54 AM
Now I'm feeling hot and bothered and somewhat nasty. LOL
Posted by: IraqiCane | September 21, 2019 at 03:12 AM
I like highly rated recruits, but I like players who perform more.
Posted by: BigWindyCane1 | September 20, 2019 at 05:59 PM
Windy like 2 star Ed Reed for instance?
Posted by: solarcane | September 20, 2019 at 06:03 PM
solar - as one of the head jedi's of this blog, who has tons of blog points in his account, i'm sure the blog police will go light on you
. . . but let it be known, that ed reed was being recruited in the 90's and in the changing world of recruiting, it's way past time to retire his good name as the poster boy of the 2*
(and speaking of reed, as was pointed out, another reed just flashed the canes-bust signal by joining the transfer wire)
Posted by: alpine | September 21, 2019 at 06:36 AM
Jakai Clark and Zion Nelson were also two stars.
Posted by: BigWindyCane | September 20, 2019 at 08:33 PM
i'm hoping 1 or both of these guys will become the new low-star poster
boys in the near future!
Posted by: alpine | September 21, 2019 at 06:41 AM
I hope our coaches are spending more time evaluating potential recruits than I am. I don’t want to see the next Lamar Jackson slip through our hands.
Posted by: BigWindyCane | September 20, 2019 at 10:01 PM
see your post about clark & nelson
or are you only talking about qb recruitment?
Posted by: alpine | September 21, 2019 at 06:42 AM
speaking of recruits, do any of you have recruits (besides the 5*, can't-miss types), that you were sure were gonna be fantastico
. . . and they sank without a trace?
for me, one big disappointment of this type that comes to mind, was OL BAR MILO
. . . being connected with kaaya and being obviously waaaaaay above average intelligence, i thought he was gonna kill it on the line for a good 4 years . . . i was so sold, that i kept imagining him dealing with injuries, as the reason he couldn't get on the field the first couple years
. . . then i started to wonder; but didn't immediately jump ship ... it took me a while to realise, the ship was mauled so badly it was already underwater and i just needed to swim away from the wreckage
Posted by: alpine | September 21, 2019 at 06:54 AM
Who is currently the best player on our team?
Posted by: HillviewCane | September 21, 2019 at 08:32 AM
Hill
I’m going with bandy - I also feel he is too small for nfl so I’m hoping he stays 1 more year
Posted by: AeroCane | September 21, 2019 at 08:40 AM
DJ Dallas
Posted by: solarcane | September 21, 2019 at 09:30 AM
TSully we will get in around 2:30 or 3 and try and find you guys in E2.Our seats are in 347 Row 12 if we miss you.
But seriously, if Butch could just explain what he was looking for, and what he saw, and what he thought a player COULD become then the MAGIC could return to The U. At least I think that is true?
Posted by: 86Cane | September 20, 2019 at 11:35 PM
Butch = it factor in recruiting

Enos gives CMU some payback
UM scores over 60 today
Posted by: solarcane | September 21, 2019 at 09:52 AM
We should win today.....2 sandlot teams in a row should be no problem......its sad to have to get wins like this to get to 500 and feel good. I do not like this kind of football for any of the top teams....ooops....forgot we aint one any.
longer.....
My HS center played college and now works as a professor and runs the patent office for a major school, that has won a couple titles....beat us in one....Rick is a great guy and we talk often. He told me this week " its sad how a once mighty dynasty has fallen form that high to being a average mid major program"...ouch! I want to win today, but I do not count this and BC as Real Wins...just a stat.
Hope we will get some tune up time today...
Posted by: VA Cane | September 21, 2019 at 09:53 AM
My concern is this....we beat a sandlot team and should today.....what if we had played UCF and Boise State....supposedly lower tier good teams....our record would certainly be 0-4....thats reality....but I would rather play them than cupcakes...you only get better by playing real teams not tune ups....yea you pad stats get that warm feeling....but when you got to tune up against a real team...you gonna get tuned up.....

Subscribe to his channel and hit videos, Im a drummer but I built a few electric diddley bows after watching Johnson shred every stringed instrument known to man
Glad you dug it.
Posted by: solarcane | September 21, 2019 at 11:46 AM
OGV,
I think Quarterman has a lot more pressure in him this year, with the defensive back situation.
I think after 3 games Dallas is giving the most bang for the buck for now

💯! And Shaq on defense (top ten rush defense in the nation), with Pinckney, DeeJay and Bandy close behind at this point in the season.

Can Jim Harbaugh actually be in trouble at Michigan?
They're getting smashed by Wisconsin.

BTW, I would like to NEVER, EVER, see us play Wisconsin again... PLEASE!
Well coached, and an O-Line that we just DREAM about having down here...

The highest recruiting rank Wisconsin had in the past 4 years is "34" !!! That was in 2014

Posted by: NativeCane | September 21, 2019 at 04:06 PM
That Whisky OL is always so fine.
I wish my last name were Pimpleton. My first name I'd change to Big Daddy. The Dude aka Big Daddy Pimpleton.

Posted by: solarcane | September 21, 2019 at 04:57 PM
Bring in Perry. Jarren needs a wake up call.
Posted by: Dude on a Pale Horse | September 21, 2019 at 04:57 PM
Our OL is trash.
Posted by: Basura | September 21, 2019 at 04:58 PM
So far with 12 minutes left in the second quarter, our Canes don’t look very good. Just too immature. I hope they pick it up

Miami OL being dominated by... Central Michigan.
Posted by: Dude on a Pale Horse | September 21, 2019 at 05:01 PM
7-2 Miami. Miami OL getting their sh*t pushed in.
Posted by: Dude on a Pale Horse | September 21, 2019 at 05:02 PM
7-2 Miami
11:06 in the second.
Posted by: IraqiCane | September 21, 2019 at 05:02 PM
2-7.
The Chipps got 2, yes 2, safeties on one possession (one was overturned)

You just made a strong argument for COACHING over talent!
Posted by: 86Cane | September 21, 2019 at 05:02 PM
Our OL isn’t the best, but Jarren needs better pocket awareness and he can’t expect to hold onto the ball for 5+ seconds
Posted by: BigWindyCane | September 21, 2019 at 05:03 PM
Meanwhile at LSU, Joe Burrow's first half would be a good game for most QBs.
18/24, 357 yards, 4 TD
Posted by: IraqiCane | September 21, 2019 at 05:05 PM
This team is awful!
Posted by: Sarasota 'cane | September 21, 2019 at 05:09 PM
BWC, actually if our OL were even serviceable, yes, he should be able to hold it for 5sec vs this team.
