Today your Miami Hurricanes travel to the Steel City to play the Panthers of the University of Pittsburgh.
We look for the 'Canes to have a bounce back game after a tough loss to Georgia Tech at home.
The Hurricanes have a commanding 26-11-1 all-time series lead over the Panthers, including a 12-6 mark in road games. As ACC counterparts, the two teams have met six times and Miami leads, 4-2.
The two teams have traded similar results in the last two years; as ACC Coastal champions in 2017, the #2 Hurricanes were upset by the Panthers to snap the nation's longest winning streak. Last year, UM upended the Coastal champion Panthers, 24-3, at Hard Rock Stadium in the regular season finale.
CANESPACE PREDICTION: UM 34 - PITT 13
Two top ten Hot Seat coaches square off next week FSU Miami. Post game player throwing under the bus should be epic.

This game has the potential be a bizarro classic.

Yep...Nemo if you go to other “Canes” sites you find the majority of porsters actively rooting against Miami now in the misguided belief that Manny will be removed.

Rousseau leads the ACC in sacks, will likely make the All ACC team and might be one of the best players in the ACC. If he continues playing like this, we may only have him for another year and he will be a high NFL draft pick.
And imagine he was only receiving a handful of snaps at the beginning of the season because he wasn’t good enough to start or play significant snaps?

Well done. I agree.
Every game is like being on the bomb squad: "Do we cut the red wire, the green wire or the black wire?"
Cut the wrong one and it can blow up in our faces.

UCF is a scoring machine.. the bubble screen has come to the 305 again...we should be throwing the ball like that ...im wishing 58 on us next week with a bucket of chicken legs.
Posted by: mi@ | October 27, 2019 at 10:59 AM
Yeah, we keep holding to the pro style hoping it will come back into style, all the while teams scoring at will. Get the ball inside the 10 and throw every down. Have the ball on the 25, fourth and 7 and don't try a FG. I get our FG unit has stunk and I would get not trying a FG if we had a prolific offense but that was yesteryear. Thank God they missed 2 tackles on the winning TD or what would Manny had done had we had another 4th. down?

Reading a message board that said Williams had a tantrum on Wednesday and went awol, the same day that Tate took a medical. Players not happy with Enos, the offense and the QB room seems to be a mess. Just what I read but they are right about one thing the offense does suck.

If Jarren quit again CMD should wash his hands of him.
Posted by: TonyCane | October 27, 2019 at 12:34 PM
If anything we should wash our Hands of the Kirkland Brand Version of Randy Shannon and Al Golden. What A Awful Take Tony!
Posted by: Terrance M Sullivan | October 27, 2019 at 01:32 PM
How many times does he get to quit and come back?
As for the rest of the staff, do what needs to be done. But let’s say everyone’s wishes are fulfilled and Mario Cristobal/Butch Davis/Urban Meyer comes walking through the door. What coach would trust a player who gave up twice on his team (if that’s what happened)?

Jeff Thomas ain't no better. I wouldn't be surprised to see about 3 backup Oh linemen jump in the portal once the season has expired, plus a backup QB.
Another thing that pisses me off is our WR's just can't seem to get any kind of separation.
Also was listening to announcers a week ago talked about Hazelwood, the kid that wanted to go here but didn't like the vibe we he visited. To many guys excepted losing and changed and ended up going to Oklahoma. Losing to many kids because of the atmosphere around program. Something has to be to that because of over 30 decoms. In the last 3 years. Everybody loses players that have verballed but can't be that many that lose them like us and a lot of them were high level. Look at our DB situation, especially at CB, we have one verbal. This conference is also killing us. The football as a whole is average. The SEC is Killin g us, better football and bigger games.
I don't know the stench stinks. I couldn't even get excited about the win. Shyts got to change.

Oh, I agree. He's far worse...except that as far as I know he didn't quit again. Although getting suspended for two games is bad in and of itself.
Taking a step back though, I wonder if the only fan bases that are truly content are the ones in Clemson, Alabama, Ohio State, and perhaps Oklahoma. You should here the moaning and wailing out here in Austin over the Longhorns' third loss yesterday.

I don’t know what happened with JT4 and Jarren, so I won’t speculate.
However, if any Canes player is acting selfish in front of his teammates, his negative vibe threatens the success of the whole team. CMD will not build a winning program with me-first players. Even if the player is very talented, sooner or later the selfishness will destroy team chemistry.

To be frank, the Canes don’t have an elite ACC QB. I am not even sure whether the Canes really have a true #1 QB on their roster. Maybe Matocha or Van Dyke may develop into a true elite QB, if Jarren or Perry don’t make remarkable improvements by next season. The transfer portal is also an option. Both Perry and Jarren have their advantages and both have their flaws. I really don‘t see much separation between them. Maybe another year in this system will help.
IMO, there will be a QB rotation based on who is hot. It’s now Jarren’s turn to start. If he plays well from here on out, it’s his job until it isn’t

Greg Rousseau became sixth #Canes player to record 3 sacks in a game since 2000. The others: Allen Bailey (3.5 vs. UNC '10), Olivier Vernon (3.5 vs. FAMU '10), Calais Campbell (3 vs. VT '06), Javon Nanton (3 vs. UNC '05) and Marcus Robinson (3 twice, '08 vs. VT; '11 vs. B-CC)

has been a monster this season.
➢ Leads the ACC in sacks
➢ Tied for 10th in the NCAA in sacks
➢ Only freshman in the top 15 in sacks
➢ Only freshman in FBS with more than six sacks

That's the way u should act when u are 4-4. Probably have an offensive out burst next weekend and torch FSU with 24 points. Defense will forget how to tackle again. If we could make one QB out of those 2 we might have a stud.

Which is why you don't play him in the first few games of the season when he could have been a difference maker.
Oh, wait a minute, that doesn't make sense.
