Today your Miami Hurricanes travel to the Steel City to play the Panthers of the University of Pittsburgh.
We look for the 'Canes to have a bounce back game after a tough loss to Georgia Tech at home.
The Hurricanes have a commanding 26-11-1 all-time series lead over the Panthers, including a 12-6 mark in road games. As ACC counterparts, the two teams have met six times and Miami leads, 4-2.
The two teams have traded similar results in the last two years; as ACC Coastal champions in 2017, the #2 Hurricanes were upset by the Panthers to snap the nation's longest winning streak. Last year, UM upended the Coastal champion Panthers, 24-3, at Hard Rock Stadium in the regular season finale.
CANESPACE PREDICTION: UM 34 - PITT 13
This Auburn team is a lot better than I thought for sure.

got to change that mindset!!!!!
Posted by: VA Cane | October 26, 2019 at 06:28 PM
💯! Not sure if CMD is the leader who will change the Canes’ current mindset, but I will remain hopeful
Posted by: BigWindyCane1 | October 26, 2019 at 06:36 PM
CMD ain't The Guy. Pittsburgh literally Gave Us The Game and we wanted to Give It Back To Them. Glad We Won That Pisser of A Game!

Agreed!

This I agree with 100 percent

Where Richt looked like he was gonna fall asleep on the sideline,
Manny always has that wild eyed about to puke look on his face.

U wanna know why? Because he knows that the final score is not gonna be 34-13. That's why.

Texas about to lose

But...but... its The New Miami
Posted by: solarcane | October 26, 2019 at 07:00 PM
Oklahoma, Iowa State and Texas all go down. Big 12 had a rough day
Posted by: BigWindyCane1 | October 26, 2019 at 07:00 PM
CMD is a fine DC....but I think that is what does best I like when he is DC. Since Butch left we have not sought out a real YHC...and there were good ones available each year...but we settled for a unproven HC who could take charge and direct excellence....the boss who runs the show. F**k the board, Pres, administration, players and coaches...they can have an opinion and some input but its my way!!! a focused passion for winning...and not accepting losing!!!
Posted by: VA Cane | October 26, 2019 at 07:07 PM
So with the canes and noles winning - will we both be in the top 25 for next weeks game?
LOL
Posted by: AeroCane | October 26, 2019 at 07:10 PM
Man I'm feeling LSU vs Ohio State in the big game, two teams that have made me cry.
Posted by: solarcane | October 26, 2019 at 07:12 PM
I see it the same solar....I think they are the 2 most complete teams..O D ST....in the country. Bama has D issues injured QB....Clemson and their QB is no so TB or God as they thought...D is weaker than prior units.....
I do not like either but they are strong programs....LSU fired Miles...everyone thought they were done...they came back quick and are bad ass...Urban left the program stacked and they still do what they were doing..good coaching on both teams....Think it is the title game...love to see it..
Posted by: VA Cane | October 26, 2019 at 07:20 PM
LSU pretty beat up for next week, hope they heal up
Posted by: solarcane | October 26, 2019 at 07:27 PM
They have a bye next week...will help them a lot....them and Bama ought be a good one.....Savoy Brown Looking In cover ......us outside looking into the elite CFB world

OSU best team in the country and definitely the best DEE.
LSU might be the second best team.
Posted by: Herbieibis | October 26, 2019 at 07:45 PM
Solar It's All Good My Brotha and I agree neither QB is good enough to win the ACC and get us to the Playoff. Hopefully we can beat FSU because we are 0-2 so far this year in Rivalry Games with losses to Florida and Virginia Tech.
Posted by: Terrance M Sullivan | October 26, 2019 at 07:56 PM
Yeah I think OSU vs LSU are the 2 best teams.
Posted by: Terrance M Sullivan | October 26, 2019 at 07:59 PM
With 3 sacks today, Rousseau has a chance to get double digit sacks for this season, make the all ACC team, and maybe lead the ACC in sacks.
Not bad for a guy who wasn’t good enough to start🤣🤣🤣🤣
Posted by: BigWindyCane1 | October 26, 2019 at 08:08 PM
You know it sully.
Maybe we rally and make The Battle Creek Oatmeal Bowl or something similar
Posted by: solarcane | October 26, 2019 at 08:10 PM
Solar Maybe We Make The Tony The Tiger 🌞 Bowl 😂😂 😂😂 😂 in El Paso again.
Posted by: Terrance M Sullivan | October 26, 2019 at 08:21 PM
I love the Battlecreek Oatmeal Bowl!
Posted by: CGNC | October 26, 2019 at 08:22 PM
VA - a focused passion for winning....that has been missing in Coral Gables since....
Solar LOL on the secret Enos hire...I was expecting someone more grand...when he was announced I was like "WHO"??? I remember another name that was mentioned for OC was Major Applewhite, not sure what happened there - he was fired from Houston and is now an analyst for Bama
Posted by: CGNC | October 26, 2019 at 08:27 PM
The Battlecreek Oatmeal Bowl Sounds Great that should be the Name of the Game in Detroit lol.
Posted by: Terrance M Sullivan | October 26, 2019 at 08:27 PM
Sully lol!
I forgot all about that,
Was that the one Notre Dame routed us because we couldn't play in the snow or something?
Posted by: solarcane | October 26, 2019 at 08:34 PM
Thanks CG
Posted by: solarcane | October 26, 2019 at 08:36 PM
CG,
Im so gullible I still thought it was Applewhite a week after everyone said it was another guy. I thought Manny was messing with us.
Posted by: solarcane | October 26, 2019 at 08:40 PM
Let me see ...Pitt beats UCF and then the Canes beat Pit. 🤔
Does that mean the Canes are better UCF? 🤔
Never mind!
Posted by: BigWindyCane1 | October 26, 2019 at 08:41 PM
Now I wish it was Applewhite
Posted by: solarcane | October 26, 2019 at 08:41 PM
Mich might upset ND if they hold it together
Posted by: solarcane | October 26, 2019 at 08:42 PM
soup your Memphis boys are cruising on offense again
Posted by: solarcane | October 26, 2019 at 08:55 PM
If the Oatmeal Bowl isn't available, there should be a Participation Trophy Bowl
Posted by: Old Skool | October 26, 2019 at 08:57 PM
If we do make a bowl of any kind, is it likely we'll have an offensive identity by then? or are we still a couple of years away with Uncle Enos?
Posted by: Old Skool | October 26, 2019 at 09:00 PM
Solar Yes Indeed also same bowl where we lost in the snow again when our OC now Georgia OC decided to call a Half Back pass in a Driving Snow Storm of course it got intercepted and we lost SMH.
Posted by: Terrance M Sullivan | October 26, 2019 at 09:30 PM
In this turd of a league Clemson's backups would go 9-3 at worst. The ACC, aside from Clemson, just plain sux. Not many big time games, half empty stadiums and bad football.
We hold Pitt and Virginia without a TD, Florida gets like 50 yds. Rushing against us and we allow G.Tech to get 200 or more. Central Mich coughs up 44 points to Buffalo and we can only muster 17, I mean it's a joke. The 2 games I picked them to lose, they don't give up a TD.
We play to the level of our comp. That's basically the way it has always been since we have been in this league. Ho hum.

Two top ten Hot Seat coaches square off next week FSU Miami. Post game player throwing under the bus should be epic.

Battlecreek Oatmeal Bowl!
Posted by: CGNC | October 26, 2019 at 08:22 PM
Mrs. 86 loves her some oatmeal. Maybe we will go?
Posted by: 58 Straight | October 27, 2019 at 01:20 AM
Leach gets a junior college transfer qb
That throws for 400 plus yds against the number 11 team in the country
We have two 4 star high school qbs that can't pass for 300 yds combined with Enos offense.
Jeez

Oregon wins 37 35 with 2 seconds left.

- just to show how much attention i pay to the SEC: i accidentally looked at their standings today and saw that they have 3 "tigers" teams
. . . sounds like clemson would fit perfectly in that den
. . . guess the "put a tiger in your tank" had more of an effect than we knew
- using a nickname like "tiger" is similar to adding a baked potato to your meal but for health reasons, leaving off the butter & sour creme, (boring; tasteless)
- "razorbacks", on the other hand, is like the cool of a redneck jimi hendrix; or?
"gamecocks" is pretty funny, but not bad
- "hurricanes" i LOVE, but i want us to play up to our name!
. . . this has been your sunday "word of the day"; your welcome
Posted by: alpine | October 27, 2019 at 03:17 AM
the day after:
- seems a shame to be at the psychological place, where a win is less joy and more relief
. . . feels like working with nitro glycerin for a couple hours; then walking out with all your body parts still connected
Posted by: alpine | October 27, 2019 at 06:31 AM
hello? one ringey-dingey, two ringey-dingey
(yes, lily tomlin wearing 3-yr. old clothes sitting on a large rocking chair; a lifetime ago, maybe longer)
- still waiting for canespace-info to cough up some good info regarding the hedley penalty . . . how did our kicker get an unsportsmanlike penalty?
. . . did he kick the ball and then nonchalantly kick someone's nuts?
Posted by: alpine | October 27, 2019 at 06:34 AM

I love that nickname. From now on: Uncle Enos
Posted by: CGNC | October 27, 2019 at 09:31 AM
I think our template for the remainder of the season on offense...our expectationsnor lack thereof should be the 2006 Canes of Larry Coker’s last season. Scoring wise and defensively we’re very close right now to that final team, so if we win it will be in a 21-17 sort of fashion.
This offense is not capable of a 41-13 or 34-13 sort of output.
