VA, that dumpster is hotter than a $2 pistol

solarcane

Joe good thoughts there

Joe

I think if Manny doesnt work next year there is a short list of possible replacements and the top of that list should be Mario Cristobal. He's a Miami guy with experience, success as HC, and his name alone would bring a top notch staff and winning back to the program. I hope Manny can turn it around, but I'm not too sure as time will tell. Go CANES!!!

BigWindyCane1

IMHO, HighSmith is coming here to “help” Blake select an OC. I think CMD has shown that he can’t do that. This move will either help CMD be successful or to help prepare for the road for selection of his successor.

BigWindyCane1

Watching the Gators play is making me very angry! 😡 😤

We played the Gators close in the first game, then look at the opposite directions that both teams went afterwards

solarcane

mi@,
I think Cristobal really enjoys being a HC. I also think he enjoys being at a successful school with no Alum pressure like Miami,Nebraska,Tenn etc would bring. He is a real good coach compared to what we been stuck with for sure.

solarcane

VA sounds great.
I am happy for you brother, you have an honest soul, you deserve good things to come your way.
I'm looking forward to the music for sure.

VA Cane

You never knowwhat might have been with Lingard....he may have been another Bryce Brown....BB never did much in college...had a couple great games as a Philly Eagle....then gone. Remember that fiasco of recruiting....
We do need a coach....
I was wondering if you would like to quit and come go Miami, we are 6 and 7 and we just got beat in Shreveport Louisiana....hello???

solar you are like my fav musicians Mike Nesmith....(I got some cool stuff by Nez...check him out...).....you are like one of his LPs...."and The Hits Just Keep On Coming!"

VA Cane

Love that thought KY.....OnionPa....you guys are right tonight!!!....and that fire is still blazing KY!!! I always look for your avatar...love it!

Solar
I am getting my inheritance soon....my mom and Dad gave each other great lives...and they educated 3 of us and gave us wonderful lives. They did alot but invested wisely....I need nothing but am going to invest 10k in a killer system...centerpiece is a MaCintosh tube amp....about 350 a side!
Klipsch speakers....but am getting atape deck/CD player that will record....and I got some killer stuff. I loaded your tunes onto my computer, so i am working on some pictures of rare and color vinyl for you rto check out...get system in Feb....and i am going to make you some killer CD burns from my collection. Thanks for your great videos, stickers....but most of all being a friend. hope to set up a visit to see you this year...no game...for what? We will fish!!!

Joe

I think the staff was trying to prevent further injury to Lingard over the last 3 games. He was wearing a brace for god sakes. That to me is an indication he was worried about reinjury. The worst thing would have been to bring him back before he was 100% and he reinjure himself. I hate to see him go, I wish he would wait to see who the OC hire is and spring to see if he can gain ground in competition. I'm sure other schools are promising him staring jobs like Tate Martell heard last year. Good luck to him wherever he ends up unless its against us.

KYcane

The T.O. chain and rings have to go until these are busting ass every play and we start seeing consistent results.

Posted by: The Herb | December 30, 2019 at 02:01 PM

In full agreement with this. I think OnionPa even took the names off the unis one year, strip it down until the “I” is gone and we takes over.

mi@

Cristobal not gonna win a ship at Oregon. What history does O have compares to the U? Not even close. It's his alma mater. The athletes come from south Florida. It's a no brainer

SOUP

Interesting is all I will say.

solarcane

Hello Coach Cristobol what are you doing?

Uh huh, uh huh, going to the Rose Bowl,
I see. I was wondering if you would like to quit and come go Miami, we are 6 and 7 and we just got beat in Shreveport Louisiana....hello???

The Herb

Mi@,
Read that also. Supposedly to see what it would take to get Cristobal. Diaz would drop back as the DC. All kind clutter being spewed. That could work for the Herb.
I don't know why you would wait to get rid of Stubby and Blueberry. Whomever the New OC is he ain't wanting them 2 anyway.

absolutely not.....we are nowhere near putting this dumpster fire out.

VA Cane

Highsmith should swing by the Buffalo Bills camp and grab Dorsey on his way

now that is a great idea.....we got to get old players and alum who are with the new ideas....this was the worst offense I have ever seen... The GT, Duke, FIU and LA Tech losses are just wrong...but when you have no coaching and quitters who do not care playing it happens....shame!

solarcane

Man if Lo Highsmith is in charge of football operations and attends football practices you will get to see what discipline is.

Highsmith should swing by the Buffalo Bills camp and grab Dorsey on his way

VA Cane

KY maybe with the High info....and hopefully some sanity to the program...we can get close enough to the dumpster to flip the lids over and start getting the fire to dissipate!

BigWindyCane1

Tony and Solar,

The Highsmith news is a great New Years gift for me! What a great hire!

VA Cane

High and Bratt were bad ass dudes at UM. Fond memories of real football players...guys who left it on the field....they had to win no such thing as accepting losing like Shaq "I want to be with my teammates and cry" Quarterman....

I was a guy who gave it all on the field...had to win...did not always...and I still hate losing...we have won 11 of last 14 SBs...the 3 we did not make it to hurt me more....I expect to win...and hate to lose.

Nothing like being out there, head hunting...Hit Hate Hurt...winning titles...
Hope it is true RE High....If so great...then maybe he will fire CMD....he can run for mayor like his pop....and Mario is a young guy...knows the spread...and knows winning...A REAL Cane!!

We will see!

VA Cane

Lingard was a given....who knows what happened...nobody knows and the staff cannot tell the truth regarding anything.Kid tried get on field and they still denied him...at least someone wanted to try!

5 QBs in...Martell is going per earlier posts...I think Porn Boy will leave as well....Williams had 1 good game vs Lville...nothing else really impressive...Matocha is an unknown...and a pro set QB recruited by big 10 also rans WI and MI who cannot win big games cause they use slow, slew foot QBs like us is not my idea of an answer to the problem. Hell, we could line the first team 5 up at OL...put second string directly behind them and the ball with the second center...10 OLs....and still not block 4 with 10...thats how bad we are... any QB is a sitting duck with our OL....Manny dont know what tempo is or the spread....Mannys idea of tempo is traffic at 5 on I-95!!!!

Cleveland Reed quit on the team...I do not tolerate quitters....Quitter=Loser!

solarcane

Highsmith is exactly what the U needed he will be there after Diaz and during Meyers

Herald today
van Dyke and the spread

Will UM’s coordinator change and new scheme affect top QB recruit’s plans? Here’s answer.
BY BARRY JACKSON
DECEMBER 30, 2019 03:45 PM

Quarterback Tyler Van Dyke, the only quarterback in UM’s recruiting class, will not ask to be released from his letter of intent with the Hurricanes and remains enthusiastic about joining the program despite the expected change from a pro-style offense to a spread offense, his high school coach said Monday.

Suffield Academy coach Drew Gamere said even though Van Dyke has “respect for” dismissed offensive coordinator Dan Enos and had a strong relationship with him, Van Dyke is still excited about joining the Hurricanes and will enroll, as planned, in January.

“He’s full speed ahead,” Gamere said after speaking with Van Dyke. “He feels great about his decision to [attend UM]. He’s still excited about where things are headed.”

Have questions about your subscription? We’re happy to help. Contact us

Van Dyke signed with UM on Dec. 18. Enos — who previously told Van Dyke he would remain with UM next season — was fired on Friday, a day after Miami’s 14-0 loss to Louisiana Tech in the Independence Bowl.

Van Dyke was rated by Rivals as the No. 8 pro-style quarterback and 199th-best 2020 prospect, but Gamere said the 6-4 quarterback is capable of playing in a spread offense.

“If you watched us, we evolved into more of a spread look,” Gamere said of the Connecticut school. “We have four, five wide receivers. He certainly has flexibility with whatever system” is implemented.

Van Dyke led Suffield Academy to a 9-0 record and had 21 touchdowns through the air, four more on the ground, six interceptions and a 61.6 completion percentage.

Van Dyke made quite an impression at UM’s Paradise Camp last July, showing considerable zip and accuracy on his passes.

“For all the arm talent and attributes on the field, it’s what he is off the field that has us excited,” Diaz said recently of Van Dyke. “First guy in building, first guy to leave, which we feel is the culture our quarterback room has been needing.”

In an interview on WQAM’s Joe Rose Show on Monday, Diaz said the team would implement an up-tempo spread offense and said “we have to get the quarterback thing solved.”

Van Dyke will give UM five quarterbacks on scholarship, at least for now. Jarren Williams, N’Kosi Perry, Tate Martell and Peyton Matocha are the others.

More Diaz Pussification

Offensive lineman Cleveland Reed, who left the team in September, is set to return to the team a source confirmed with InsideTheU on Monday afternoon.

Reed appeared in one game this season as a reserve against Bethune-Cookman. He was working at both left and right guard in practice.

He will be a sophomore in 2020. The team is set to begin its offseason workouts in two weeks after finishing 6-7 in Manny Diaz's first season as head coach.

Reed was a former four-star recruit from Fort Meade who played in the Under Armour All-America Game. He reportedly had offers from Clemson, LSU, Ohio State, Oregon, Florida, and Florida State among others.

Reed announced his departure from the team on Sept. 20, a day before Miami played Central Michigan. However, Reed remained enrolled in classes at UM. It was reported earlier this month he was likely to return to the team.

As it stands the Hurricanes will be returning all five of their starting linemen from this past season including left guard Navaughn Donaldson and right guard Jakai Clark who Reed will be looking to unseat upon his return.

COMMENTS
The return of Reed is not the first of its kind under Diaz, who also welcomed back wide receiver Jeff Thomas from the team last offseason. The addition comes during a week in which running back Lorenzo Lingard and defensive tackle Tyreic Martin announced they are transferring and running back DeeJay Dallas and cornerback Trajan Bandy announcing they are foregoing their senior seasons to enter the NFL Draft.

VA, Great story about your mom’s photo.

VA we are tight you know that bro.
No offence intended at all.

When I was real young, I mean real young. My mom sat me down and said "You may never have money, but after I raise you, you will always have manners, and you will learn manners will get you places money won't."

My mom was the smartest person I have ever known.

solar and al....non taken...I was venting a little....been a few years now...glad it wasn't when I was young..I was out there lol!!!

I love your mom quote....that brings a tear to me. As I sit typing, there is a painting over my desk 9 x 12...I say it watches over me. It is a water painting of my Mom...from a small picture of her in 1950....she was 20. A 5 year old S. Korean child who was my Dads houseboy in Korea painted it about a month later he was shot by a sniper in the legs...it was the one thing he asked they please retain of his possessions....my Dad had it over his dresser for 60 years....I got it last Feb from their home after my Mom passed at 89. My mom was 5' 100 lbs....like you I said she was the smartest person I ever knew....I swear I could not fool her...she taught me manners honesty respect...not that I am perfect.
She passed in Feb...I was the last person she spoke to...we watched the Daytona 500 together...i told her i loved her she said she loved me...and she never spoke again. We watched the race on 2/17...I was with her all day on 2/18....left her at 9:45 pm....she passed at 10 pm...I swear she waited until i left to go...so i would not die of a broken heart....still miss her so much ....she saw every sandlot HS and college game I ever played...and they came 200 miles to see my teams several times a year....after Dad passed she still came to see my teams..until she drove no more...then had people bring her to see my guys. I always say everybody should have parents like mine cause the world would be so much better....and I hope each of you feel that way about your parents...that they were/are the best and would do the same. Thanks solar...I feel the very same way about my Mom. Have your email....i will send you a pic of the painting...you are a kindred spirit...i think you would understand how I feel about my mom.

Again I was venting folks about my niece...I call her daughter....she is very special to me....i raised her from 12...even til now...she is a school teacher...a very good one....and I have to give her away this summer....I pity the guy...he dont know what he is marrying into....LOL

🤔 “Chief of Staff” sounds to me like James thinks CMD can’t manage the football program on his own

HerbieIbis

Tyric Martin is gone finally. That's a ship that can be put into good use. Dude played 2 scrub games in 4 years. Now Dykstra, Hillary and Herbert, all redshirt sophs, should do us a favor and pack their bags and stop taking up space.

BigWindyCane1

Per @_JoshRWhite

“Blake James says that Miami is considering adding a "Chief of Staff" to its football program. James says it's something the Hurricanes will add at some point in the future.”

“James continues to stress how important it is for the Canes to pick the right offensive coordinator.“

"Manny has shared some names with me," Blake James said. "He is looking both professionally and collegiately."

James uses the word "spread" and how the Canes need to get the ball to their talented athletes.

CGNC

Well, Mandy better get this straight soon. If not, I don't think he makes it through all of next season. The fan base is fired up and not in a good way.

Herbie great analysis in words and pics!!!

you got to have coaches steeped in strong football fundamentals , but at the same time you have to see what is happening in the game. Football is all about copycat.....Joe Burrow looks for D schemes to attack with the dynamic passing game developed by Joe Brady. If it is man, he looks at the matchups...he moves people around to get the matchups. If its zone, he looks for the openings in the zone. It is coaching...coaches develop players...make them...not vice versa. As a coach, whether college or young man, I first evaluate their stance, their skills, agility, speed, hands, weight, ATTITUDE, intensity, and response to criticism, coaching and change. I try to get them in a position that fits them, but still keep all options open for changes in position as they develop adapt and change. I talk about diet exercise...I am not about running guys to death...I love mountain biking....we are on the road alot...its 70 here now....we are riding tomorrow...including VA!

Our kids are way too much ME and never WE...aint no ME in TEAM!

I see top 5 teams recover from one week to the next faster than normal in my opinion. Sompin ain't right.

I see teams with 2 weeks to prepare and come out and dominate!!!! I see us come out after a break and are flat; no QUIT!!! Sorry I HATE Quitters and Losers!! This is a coaching problem AD problem...these people do not know the game and do not understand the kids. These kids need to be whipped physically and mentally into shape....if you do not want to win...get the hell out. I will teach and coach a kid always...but you come to me with an apathetical attitude...i dont care either...do not waste my time....come and learn to love winning hate losing...losing will happen...but with me i promise it will not be often! UM players and coaches do not understand that winning is very hard...it takes hard work...dedication....commitment...hours of work and prep....but when you get there by doing this...it is the greatest feeling in the world....but one snag...

you cannot sit back and relax....you cannot walk on a field anywhere with a revered/hated emblem on your helmet and expect to win.... cause the other side should respect you...but hate you with a passion and do all possible to win....This is directed at you MD, staff and all players claiming to be Hurricanes I do not live in the past but you are and embarrassing bunch of losers and quitters!!!!
Drop Mic!

mi@

I always say if a coach rubs the wing tee and wins the ship he is the most innovative man in the room. The players and coaches get there respect from each other by winning. So in this business losing us showing disrespect.
I see top 5 teams recover from one week to the next faster than normal in my opinion. Sompin ain't right.

The Herb

I hear u VA. I coached my self for many years. I used to tell my boys, I'm not going to baby u, that's up to your parents. I knew only one way to coach and that was hard. I didn't care the talent level, I treated them all equal hard in practice. Best player plays. Had no time for moaning and groaning. U either can or u can't and u played where I wanted u to play, not where u or your parents wanted u to.
All that being said we play as a team and no player is above the team. There are to many lazy ass, me first guys on that team. I know Manure has a vision, all coaches do but it"s not how u start it's how u finish, to me, is how a coached is viewed. From what I viewed he is not the guy for the job. The offensive guys don't respect him and he either left everything up to Anus and didn't bother coming around the offense or he just isn't a hard ass.
No way Thomas, Reed, William's and now I'm hearing Hightower should ever be let back on the team. 2 of those dudes quit mid season. U have to set boundaries and if u allow guys to quit and then come back what kind of respect u going to get. Others will do the same thing. If u want to jump into the portal, do so after the season, I get that but not in season.
Manny in over his head. The T.O. chain and rings have to go until these are busting ass every play and we start seeing consistent results.

BigWindyCane1

One of the first rules of coaching:

“Play to your players’ strengths, and minimize your players’ weaknesses.”

The Canes just have done that in a while, especially on offense.

VA Cane

What a 5 Star Bleep Show Going on With Our Canes no wonder we just endured our worst 3 Game Losing streak since The Carl Selmar Days Yikes!

When TSully calls it.....say its so!!! It is that T....its just BS smoke and mirrors from the BOT AD and CMD. I have been at this as a coach for 41 years, played since 8...and I am 61...this is just a bad situation for the future of this team.

Ohio State crying over 2 calls...while I am not a crazy Replay guy, I think both were correct calls. The OSU player led with his helmet...not intentional but he did...its a penalty and though ejection is stiff...its the rule now. The second call was also correct; the guy never caught the ball; it was not a catch and fumble. So cry on folks....you had 2 picks and could have been up at one point 28-0...but you could not score. The call were right on both counts...the call in 2003 Fiesta was wrong...payback is hell 16 years later.

Al, solar...I am throwing down on the person not because of their politics, but their attitude in a situation. My niece had a professor who made multiple passes made at her. She called me and wanted to quit school. I filed a complaint and was told by person I commented on "these things happen, lighten up" That was BS! Thats what liberal minds think. I requested she be transferred to another class of the same subject. First was told it cannot be done in the middle of the term; I was told she can withdraw and repeaqt. With a near straight A average I said no hell no! Maybe you do not have a niece YOU personally put through UM with your $...I do. she is a great young lady, and had no reason to lie about it. When I was told that, I made it clear I would beat the Profs ass....and that if necessary I would beat DS' ass. I have never accosted a female improperly ever! and nobody does that to my children...daughter...or my niece! I made it clear I would deliver a beat down second to none! I dont play!....guess who won the war? ME! I dont back off anything when I KNOW I am 110% right. They blinked big time! Prof was terminated, as we provide little notes and cards showing an old dirtbag trying to sway a young innocent scared girl. I got my way, her class was changed and he was out.

If my up front in your face way in this matter offends any...i am sorry. You would not like my teams or me as a coach....cause I am that way aggressive...I always do what is right...and if I see wrong I call it out...if I have to got to an extreme RE wife daughter niece...sorry it may be the only alternative. all I can say is put yourself in my shoes. Maybe you would dismiss it...i did not. I dont need expensive legal wranglings or pompous appointees to solve my problems....I am a fairly educated man....but remember I am like Tatum....my best hits border on felonious assault!!
JMO maybe you would choose a softer gentler way....with my family there is no other way!

Before this season started Manny was telling us how the pro style was the only way to go because Howard and Jimmy won championships running it.

Now we get

“We’re going to get the tempo jacked up here,’’ Diaz told host Joe Rose on Monday. “We’re going to start to spread the ball out and get the ball to our athletes in space and do something here that hasn’t been done and people have not seen.”

Posted by: solarcane | December 30, 2019 at 09:01 AM

Yes, I've got my theories about that and unfortunately none of them are good.

It wouldn’t have hurt this struggling Canes offense to stick him in there to see what he can do — unless you are insecure, know-it-all coach and you do not want Lingard to get into the game and prove to the world that you should have been playing him all along.
Posted by: BigWindyCane1 | December 30, 2019 at 12:56 PM

Yes, that makes no sense. Same situation as Jarren Williams under Richt in his final year. Unless it was attitude and/or knowing already that he was going to go to the portal. Then why play him? To do so risks creating additional issues with the rest of the team as in - I threaten to leave, so I get to play.

couldn't play Lingard the last game? really manny?
azzhole

Posted by: TJL | December 30, 2019 at 10:53 AM

Herb,
Lingard is more from Orange, which is more Central Florida, closer to Gainesville than MIAMI. That said, IMHO, not playing Lingard the last three games was a crime. Deejay was hurt, and the offense couldn’t score. Harris and Burns couldn’t break a tackle or make anyone miss, and the offensive line was struggling. Lingard could have provided a spark.

I saw enough of Lingard as a freshman and in camps to know that he had crazy talent, and he definitely had more talent than CamRon Harris from Carol City and Robert Burns from Gulliver, who are both from South Florida and who I also like. I can’t speak to his attitude once he joined the team, but when he was a recruit, he attended every UM camp I saw (whether he competed or not), Lingard dressed in UM gear, and Lingard recruited others to join him in the 2018 class.

In the runs that I saw, Lingard just needs a crease and no one is going to catch him. Lingard can also make people miss. It wouldn’t have hurt this struggling Canes offense to stick him in there to see what he can do — unless you are insecure, know-it-all coach and you do not want Lingard to get into the game and prove to the world that you should have been playing him all along. Why would he stay after this. Under the rules, I think he can play immediately next season.

Now, the Canes have probably lost both Lingard and his cousin, Avante Williams, a top 2020 DB recruit too. The Gators will probably take both and continue to distance themselves from us as a program.

What a 5 Star Bleep Show Going on With Our Canes no wonder we just endured our worst 3 Game Losing streak since The Carl Selmar Days Yikes!

UMike

I don't think Lingard is a flop, I think he got injured and then was misused/behind other backs. I think he will be a stud wherever he goes. Thankfully we both in 2 stud RB prospects this cycle.

Dots, I take the U please sir

I need the names and mailing addresses for Raize and Umike so I can send the tumblers. You can send them to Soup and he will text them to me. I also need to know if you want the U logo or the Ibis tumbler.

Losing Linegard was coming. Can't say one way or another, if this was good or bad. Baffled The Herb about the knee injury. What kind was it? Was it an ACL, torn ligament or what. He could of played the dude the last 3 games. The only I could figure, is he must of been the poster boy for Manny was talking about, changing the culture. Dude must of bitched and moaned and didn't work hard. Maybe another of those So. Flo. Boyz that thought they were better than they actually were. At any rate, another 5 star flop. We must be the only team in America that gets the least out of 5.
Manny said last year we were going to be high octane but instead we were unleaded.
We are at bottom and ain't no where to go but up, Eventually!

couldn't play Lingard the last game? really manny?

In 2003 we had enough first rounders to qualify as a pro team. Yet we did not physically dominate the teams in the big easy. But the top 5 teams show physical dominance that in my opinion look like they are juicing. It was about time the OSU got the same bad calls that got them the ship against the U in 2003. But it looked like the money favored an lsu Clemson final. I read that the schools are responsible for drug testing except but the Ncaa conducts their own testing on the teams who make the championships. If the big schools are dropping bags it's hard to trust the drug testing.

VA Cane

Yes but an up tempo O with a young OL gonna tire them out too because they do not know what they are doing and right now who is gonna coach an up tempo O....Manny? Ed O brought in a professional coordinator to change LSU....and they already had some fine players on both sides of the ball....he listened to others and did it right. Look at the success. They were down a little but still loaded with good players. We are like an unloaded gun....useless....we have no strong positions....and with graduation and early leaving it gets worse!!

I was never in step with this "search and hire"......liked MD as DC.....but to think he could be HC without ever interviewing anyone else is insanity....just like the "hiring" of Clappy Onion AlPa and CMR.....all done way too fast and unprofessionally. As a UM fan and a coach, I had to support the regime...give it a chance and be positive....but it has not worked, and with this seasons results, I do not think it can work. I cannot imagine anybody paying big $ to go see 6 games....real quick 1 game 2 people...parking, travel, food, lodging....how much for a UM game? multiply x 6 and think are you willing to spend that much to see a 6-7 team? Soup did not and hes the hardest of the hardcore! CGNC did not renew...these are people I respect, know their stuff, and love UM....its a very bad situation for the program....we have reached an impasse.
Blow up the canyon and free the water...start over in an honest real way! Fire them all...hang em high...for the fans!!!

CMD said that "an up tempo offense helps with a young OL because it tires the defense"......duhhhh

The more I hear him speak, the more i dislike him and the less faith I have in our future.

VA Cane

CMD - (and the C stands for congressman) said on QAM this morning that the offense will look very different next year...... lets see what that actually means

I think we have been hearing the winds of change for...well...16 years. We knew it would change after 2003 when KD11 and other greats graduated or left early. I think we felt good about the business model and that it would continue on. We were wrong....the team has been different every year alright...it has gotten progressively worse to me....and now it has reached the point of no return...

Note the word progressively....and about the leadership we have had along the way.....hmmmm think the idiot Donna Shitlala 2001 to 2015......therein lies the real root of the problem. This mental moron from all points progressive set out to destroy and/or end the program....and the ugly old bag is still around at 78.... I think she has just about achieved her progressive goal.....

"The 2020 signing class wants to be the one to bring back the U. It is a tired and overstated statement that is meaningless until it happens. Redding and Worsham seem to understand what it is going to take to transform the Miami football program. Manny Navarro of The Athletic and Andrew Ivins of Inside the U quoted the WRs.

“I think they made the right call…They weren’t putting any points on the board and they weren’t really getting the ball to any wide receivers. I talked to [David Cooney {strength and conditiioning coach}].

He put us – the receivers there and the receivers coming – all in a group chat and he told us that Coach Diaz knows what he’s doing and just trust that he’s going to bring some explosive offense. I’m excited to see what the new offense is.

I just want to score a lot of points. I would like it to be spread where we just throw the ball a lot to open up big runs and make plays. We’re all coming in just ready to work…We want to bring everybody together and just hard work…I saw him (QB Tyler VanDyke)[at Paradise Camp.]

I think he’s got a strong arm and he’s accurate. He reads the defense well. I think he’s a quarterback that can get the ball to me.”

HerbieIbis

I'm surprised they were able to run at all with that line. Ain't Hickson's fault. The hardest runner we had is Burns but he touched the ball a whopping 29 times or less.
So Manny is now thinks he's a WR's coach. Now I've heard everything. That's rich. One less recruiter as well, unless he"s saving some cabbage to throw big bucks to a big time OC. Nah, that couldn't happen. If he's dumping Berry he better be getting someone quick. The next signing period is about 5.5 weeks away and ain't like we are so loaded with A-1 grade beef up front. Dam I forgot. Don't need no coaches out recruiting when u have that safety net, the portal.

solarcane

Andrew Ivins of Inside the U is reporting that Stubblefield is likely to be replaced by head coach Manny Diaz. Ivins received the information from Miami four-star WR signees Daz Worsham and Michael Redding III who were told by Hurricanes’ strength and conditioning coach David Cooney, Stubbfield could be replaced.

Offensive line coach Butch Barry who also worked for Enos at Central Michigan and could be replaced by the Hurricanes during the offseason. Running backs coach Eric Hickson who was hired by Diaz, not Enos appears to be safe. The irony is that the running game was the biggest downfall for the 2019 Miami offense.

More Great news! We may not get Yost, but there are other great coaches on the market.

In picking a an offensive coordinator, thee works come to mind —“Scheme scheme scheme” — and a a major quality “hard worker”

HerbieIbis

How can those 2 come back, both positions sucked. That shouldn't be all. Any combination of Patke Banda and Rumph, as well. Hell fire all three. No use stopping with 2. Rumph and Patke can't recruit. The way it's going with Rumph, in 2 years he may not have soul in the room.

“The offense they were running really wasn’t working,” Worsham said on Saturday. “They didn’t score any points, so I think they made a good decision, and I believe they’re going to bring somebody good in to make the offense run right.”

Four-star offensive tackle Jalen Rivers from Orange Park Oakleaf did not appear worried by Enos’ departure either.

“That change didn’t make a tremendous impact. Nothing could make me change or flip,” Rivers said. “I’m fine. There were changes before I committed. I’m used to
