The 2019 college football season has given Manny Diaz and his Miami Hurricanes one last chance to dance their way out of a mediocre outcome and try to regain some semblance of recognition by their peers and their fans.
The Miami Hurricanes will play Louisiana Tech University today at 4 PM in Shreveport, LA in the "Something Or Other Bowl Game" that actually means more to Miami than La Tech.
Some might argue otherwise, and we are almost certain that the Bulldogs are going to be significantly more motivated than the Hurricanes, but Miami is fighting for National respectability while La Tech is fighting for more crawdads for New Years Eve.
Diaz better get this team to dance their asses off and like nobody is looking (they won't be) or the heat he is facing will continue to rise quickly if Miami comes out flat and lays down once again as if nothing matters.
So with that, we leave you with these lyrics from Lee Ann Womack that sums it up very nicely:
I hope you never lose your sense of wonder
You get your fill to eat but always keep that hunger
May you never take one single breath for granted
God forbid love ever leave you empty-handed
I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean
Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens
Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance, I hope you dance...
Yes

I'll be watching, with very low expectations.
Still can't believe what a complete train wreck this season was.

Well, it’s time for the underclassmen to show us what they can do. With the exception of Osborn, JT4, Deejay and Donaldson, no upperclassmen on the offense really played. Osborn is playing in this game and I expect him to give us 100% as he always does.
I don’t see it as a legitimate excuse that the underclassmen are playing this bowl game. Plus, CMD has already thrown the few upperclassmen that did play under the bus, so I don’t expect them to want to support CMD and risk their NFL future for CMD who didn’t support them. Criticize CMR if you want, but he didn’t throw anyone under the bus—coaches and players alike—and he took responsibility when things went South

That said, I am still a Canes fan and will just hope and pray that they find a way to get a bowl win.
Canes win “convincingly “, 34-13!

This shitty season can't end fast enough and Tom is now putting as much effort into his post research as the athletic department does into winning: none.
Louisiana Tech is nicknamed the Bulldogs, they play in CUSA, and are coached by Skip Holtz.
The Raging Cajuns are from Lafayette, not Ruston, LA, play in the Sun Belt, not CUSA, and are coached by Billy Napier.
That is all.

I want to see a win, but with all the apathy, attitudes, issues within the entire program i cannot see it.
"These rose colored glasses, that I'm looking through,
Show only the beauty, cause they hide all the truth"....John Conlee
The AD and BOT have via liberal midget pres successfully hijacked the program back to mediocrity. The coaches, incompetent and non vetted cannot coach at all. The players, with the exceptions of a few diamonds, cannot and will not play or be coached cause we got no coaches.
If we come out pumped, the older leaders lead, coaches add dynamic attacks, and we execute fundamental football, we can win...but first you have to WANT to win...not get a watch and portable CD player.
We will see...but I expect more of our recent bowl play...poor.
Hey guys...surprise me show up and give a damn!

Say it ain't so. Why all the doom and gloom, after all those 2 have been our buddies off and on all year.
Hell, The Herb is excited knowing that if we act like a Hen and lay an egg, change should be coming in a few days. Now if some how we revert back to the way we played against Da Ville, we'll that would be great Too but having that happen will probably mean we will be stuck with all these no recruiting ain't got a clue coaches.
The Herb is caught between a rock and a hard place, wanting us to be blow these bumps out and hoping we do our usual way down to the competition and lose. I'm taking the latter, The English Bulldogs slobber all over us to Da Tune of 27-17.

Uh, that should have been lay down not way down but of course we would be way down as well for the year, either way u get the point.

OGV...Good catch. Is it that obvious that clearly I could care less and apparently nobody else does here either? I fixed it.

34-13 Canes!
Last drawing of the year (Maybe till game 1 2020) at 3pm sharp! Be ready!
UMike is the "Canespace Legend" recipient today. I met Mike and Soup at the first Hurricane game at Hard Rock and then ran into him again at a tailgate party at GT in Atlanta along with Terrance. Good peeps!
Go 'canes!

Soup....happy birthday. It would have been my dads birthday today as well but I lost him in 2012. His favorite drink was Chivas Regal so I will be taking a shot exactly at kickoff.....hope it brings us luck

Barring a significant change in plans, the Miami Hurricanes and offensive coordinator Dan Enos are expected to part ways after today’s Independence Bowl.

Still no QB listed as the starter for the game that starts in an hour.

This is a positive development, although I don’t like this news leaking before the game.
If Enos is out, then that might mean BARRY is out too. That would be great news, if true. Enos will find another OC job.
Not sure who the Canes are looking at, but there are a lot of good OCs out there, and even some former HCs, like Larry Fedora and Steve Addazio could help us get the offense and the OL together. Still need good and consistent QB play. I am still not convinced that Jarren or Kosi is the answer.

Raize is the winner! Congrats!
Raize and Umike send your addresses to Soup and I'll order your tumblers pronto!

Only way this game is a success to me is if we run up the score and have over 200 yards in unsportsmanlike conduct penalty’s.
Posted by: Schnelly | December 26, 2019 at 03:41 PM
Dan and Barry can go pound salt.

Jarren taking first team snaps in warmups
Posted by: BigWindyCane1 | December 26, 2019 at 03:51 PM
I hope I'm wrong. Really, I hope I'm wrong.
But have to admit that I have absolutely NO confidence whatsoever that Miami will win the game today.

If Jarren starts we in trouble
Posted by: YooperCane | December 26, 2019 at 04:02 PM
I wonder if Dan will sabotage this game
Posted by: YooperCane | December 26, 2019 at 04:04 PM
Hi there spacers, still at work, will be heading home shortly. Not expecting a win. Good news an getting rid of Enos. Hope it's true, but I have faith in Tim Reynolds he is paid to report on the Canes not necessarily a fan of the canes which makes him more objective.
Raize - ha, if you won it is because you stayed up all night rather than getting up at 5 am?
Posted by: CGNC | December 26, 2019 at 04:07 PM
Al! What the phuck!
Posted by: YooperCane | December 26, 2019 at 04:12 PM
Yooper - LOL, well he cannot possibly make it any worse. He can surprise us, play Tate and run the spread.
Yeah right......

Damnit.
Posted by: IraqiCane | December 26, 2019 at 04:16 PM
If Jarren doesn’t move the team, the coaches should pull him. He really needs to play a lot better and more consistent
Posted by: BigWindyCane1 | December 26, 2019 at 04:17 PM
We. 87 OU was loaded. Jj beat the crap out of them. Our kicker 57 yrd fg went through the top of goal post. 70 yrd potential

Posted by: mi@ | December 26, 2019 at 04:24 PM
What kinda play calling is that?
Posted by: IraqiCane | December 26, 2019 at 04:26 PM
The teams in 87 would come out jacked and play with us for a half. Then we would wear them down for the 4th q beat down
Posted by: mi@ | December 26, 2019 at 04:26 PM
Another punt. ESPN says Dan is gone
Posted by: mi@ | December 26, 2019 at 04:29 PM
I am stating the obvious, but the Canes really lack talent on OL
Posted by: BigWindyCane1 | December 26, 2019 at 04:30 PM
Who is mammy gonna get for oc?
Posted by: mi@ | December 26, 2019 at 04:30 PM
Jarren is simply missing easy high school level throws. Unacceptable
Posted by: BigWindyCane1 | December 26, 2019 at 04:31 PM
Jarren is off target and has been all day.
