Harry,
You got it brother, an Alabama loss is something to savor. Watching Saban act like a 10 year old when they lose makes my day every time.

BigWindyCane1

The three inner-city schools now have a staggering total of 19 between them.
Posted by: solarcane | December 14, 2019 at 07:09 PM

The reclassification among FHSAA schools meant that not all these inner city schools had to beat each other to win a state championships. Classification is now based on school size, and about 7 of 8 classifications were won by South Florida schools (Miami-DADE and Broward).

Booker T, Northwestern and Central won state championships, and these three schools are within about 5-7 miles of each other.

The Canes used to dominate recruitment at these schools, but those days are over. Winning will change everything in an instant

I will admit When I was a young man I used to act like a 10 year old when Miami lost.

But for a grown man like Saban there is no excuse for acting like that.

58 Straight

Can we get the offensive lines from Miami Central, Miami Northwestern and Booker T Washington?

Please,PLEASE, pretty please?

BigWindyCane1

I would love OLs , especially OTs, from South Florida high schools, or any other school. The Canes simply struggle recruiting OLs. Rivers from Duval is very good, and I am optimistic about the OT from Tennessee.

RCCF

I think we close strong come Wednesday

I think Tate is going to start the bowl game. Some of his social media posts looks like he will be.

AeroCane

Mike
I would love that!
When manny discussed the ‘qb competition’ he only mentioned JW and perry
We will see

HerbieIbis

Recruited several OL from down there but struck out. Martinez, Denis, Darlington, Mincey, and Walker. Some cases to late to the party and some losing. Another reason is Miami has no lock down recruiter. Anyway, to only have 2 OL, when u know u have a very big problem, is crazy. The same way with corner back. U know u have depth issues and u have one.
Class looks like it is pretty good minus those 2 positions of need.

WAIT, WHAT? BREAKING NEWS!

JCane

Keyshawn Greene to Nebraska....

Terrance M Sullivan

Honestly The True Freshman Peyton Matocha should start the Bowl Game let's see what he's got. Honestly I am over Jarren, N'Kosi, and Tate. Let's see what the youngster Got. Also play the Guys that have played 3 Games or less in the Bowl Game. See What They Have. And fill out the rest with guys that's already been playing. That's just my opinion. But that's too much like using Common Sense and this Staff clearly lacks common sense SMH.

86Cane

I would play this guy in the bowl game but hey, that's just me:

IraqiCane

Why does it matter who we get in recruiting? Nobody on the Miami coaching staff has developed a single player in 15 years.

IraqiCane

Now that is amazing.

AeroCane

JC
He’s sees the cluster f..k we have as a coaching staff even though we are desperate for quality LB’s

Terrance M Sullivan

4 Things That will improve our Miami Hurricanes for 2020 and beyond:
1. Recruit Student Athletes that want to be here and Qualify.
2. Coach Fundamentals Blocking, Tackling, Catching, Running, Throwing, Kicking.
3. Cut Down on The Props not eliminate them.
4. Focus on the Product and Recruiting and Tone Down The Over The Top Crap.
Bonus Thing Stop Insulting and Antagonizing Your Fan Base. The Whole Miami Athletic Football Wing of the Athletic Department feels like that We As Fans should be beyond honored to be in their Life. They act as if they are a 9 and we the Fans are a 6. That Hubris is Choking The Football Program out. Get It Together or it's Going to be Good Night Irene for at least a decade or more.

Joe

Manny was right, he has to change the culture! But, he also has to realize that part of the culture during the past 17 years of losing was the pro-style offense. Change starts with spread offense, which leads to more points and wins. We all know what winning culture creates with recruits. CHANGE.ORG MANNY, PLEASE CHANGE TO SPREAD!!!!! Go CANES!

Joe

If Enos is trying to keep his job and change to a spread per meeting with Manny, the easiest solution would be to start Tate which knows the spread very well, so implementing it wouldn't be as hard. Plus he is crazy fast so we might look like Navy out there on read option. Worst case scenario we lose but at least try and show the nation we are changing the culture!!!! Then, Enos can work on spread all spring and summer and change the culture and players in South Florida will take notice as winning starts.

Joe

The only thing that makes me think they will not change is that we are still heavily recruiting Van Dyke and he is about to sign next week as he is a pro-style quarterback. Unless he is very quick and Enos is trying to do something like LSU does with Joe Burrow. I hate waiting!!

AeroCane

So in summary: a 4 star LB from Florida would rather go to Nebraska, yes, warm Nebraska, rather than a desperate for quality LB’s miami!
Sad!

Terrance M Sullivan

Actually what is sad that Miami keeps wasting their time going after these 4 and 5 🌟 players that don't want to play and go to school their. Get the players that want to come here Coach them up and win Games and keep doing that repeatedly and things will get better but they won't learn.

JCane

There are multiple variables with Greene, imo, and it isn't that the Huskers looked like a good football team this past year at 5-7 with a 3-6 conference record leaving them tied with Purdue and only ahead of NW. Frost obviously has a hx of good coaching and drawing from FL. UM has to stay squeaky clean and we'll see who signs early this week. Going to the U is far from a no brainer these days.

I agree TSully and Roach. Just recruit the right players, turn this thing around, and the 4-5 stars will beg to come. It’s definitely a better more achievable strategy. CMD isn’t going to get the elite South Florida recruits until he starts winning. But the under the radar recruits in South Florida and outside of South Florida are definitely realistic and enough to win the coastal, if he picks the right ones.

BigWindyCane1

. . . . if he picks the right ones.

Posted by: BigWindyCane1 | December 15, 2019 at 07:42 PM

If he pickles and develops the right ones. Haven’t done a great job at LB development do far, but it’s time for CMD to focus on that and do a better job.

roachcane77

After all of these "unsuccessful" years, I just don't "get" why the seemingly "obvious" changes that all of us "know nothing" fans have been saying should occur... for YEARS... just don't EVER happen.

No change in offensive scheme...
No emphasis on recruiting OL...
No emphasis on Special Teams and kickers...

WHY?

Terrance M Sullivan

Yes Sir BigWindy.

solarcane

Im thinking they let Tate get in the game to keep him here a little longer, in case Enos gets fired, or Van Dyke finds out college football is one hundred times faster than Connecticut high school football.

We change the offense William`s Dad will start whining and Jarren will probably leave.

Kosi I have no idea about but I would leave if I were him.

solarcane

Windy, Roach, sully

YES SIR

HerbieIbis

Losing Greene to Braska is a big loss. Trading one shut hole for another.
Tee, the problem is we can't get a bunch of 4 & 5 star players, especially 5 stars.
Got to many 3's that are average or lack some bulldog on their lazy azz. Apparently our best coach is our strength and conditioning coach.
Our backyard has been ravaged. Nebraska taking players let's u k know that we suck.

solarcane

I knew we sucked, I just didn`t want to break the news on here.

BATON ROUGE, LA.

LSU coach Ed Orgeron said he’s a “step ahead” of potential suitors trying to lure passing game coordinator and Broyles Award finalist Joe Brady away from the No. 1 Tigers.

Brady is in his first season with LSU after spending two seasons as a low-level offensive assistant with the New Orleans Saints.

On Monday, Brady was announced as one of five finalists for the Broyles Award presented to the nation’s top college assistant.

Orgeron said LSU has “a plan in place” to retain Brady and is “in good shape,” but did not elaborate.

Old Skool

10 days left to determine whether Manny and ENO are serious about making changes. Will it be SOS (Same old ...) or SOT (Spread Offense Time)?

HerbieIbis

LSU don't have nobody to step right in and take Borrows spot. Brady coming here if Manny swapped salaries with him!

solarcane

When Manny has you saying WTF?

Miami gives out its season awards Sunday Night.

Offense MVP: OL DJ Scaife

Not Dallas Osborn or Jordan

We have Mr Magoo coaching us.

solarcane

The Herb,
I thought Mark Richts nephew commited to LSU awhile ago?
Kid might not be a good quarterback but he seems to have good sense.

solarcane

If you had the chance to coach at LSU with their fan base, coaching staff, players and culture, why would you even consider coming to coach at Miami?

Chris Peterson sits out two seasons he will probably get the itch and be right on time to take Diaz place.

HerbieIbis

Right Solar but what I meant was no Qb that's game tested. I don't know who Burrows backup was.
As far as Keyshaun Greene goes, what I heard that his mom was not to keen about him going to DA U. Didn't come with him on his official. I believe she is big FSU fan. I guess she's really pissed now that he verbed to Neb.

Manny being Manny.

Trying to reward the player that does "everything right" even if he barely contributed to the teams wins this year. Dallas and Osborn must be furious.

Terrance M Sullivan

86 Spot On Man. Palmetto 57th Manny never ceases to amaze us lol. Yes Dallas and Osborn are like really man.
