We gave you a reasonable time frame of 48 hours.
You had two full days to figure out what to do.
Then you spent all 48 hours doing nothing.
And now, we have to inform you, that your time has expired.
Failure seems to be totally cool with the University of Miami Board of Trustees, the UM athletic administration and the Hurricanes football coaching staff. And, hey, we get it. It is what you have done for at least the last 15 years, so why bother to change things? Just coast along and everything will be okay.
This is to inform you that it is NOT okay with the fans of the Miami Hurricanes.
You have betrayed us and our blind faith, hope and love for the last time.
We can no longer support this ridiculous nonsense that you are feeding us.
Losing to teams like FIU, Duke and Georgia Tech all in the same season is a disgrace and an dark stain on the honored tradition of Miami Hurricanes football. The five National Championships, the 58 Straight home wins and so many All-American players and NFL draft picks are all being erased by your actions, and inaction, to fix what is wrong.
So now we have to inform you that your time has expired.
And even better yet, we warned you, you knew it, but you didn't care.
You thought we were bluffing. You thought we wouldn't follow through on this.
I canceled my season tickets last year and many others will follow this year.
Many fans had faith, hope and love that Manny Diaz was going to be that guy.
I was not one of them. I did not trust Blake James taking the easy way out.
Clearly that hire was a misjudgement based on just another empty promise.
But trust me, this one is not. This promise will be indeed be kept.
I have been going to UM games since 1973 at the Orange Bowl.
The Canespace blog has been here and all through 2006-2019.
As sad as it is to say that we have to go, well, we have to go.
It has ended as of now.
Can't see Manny axing any coach until after the bowl, especially Enos. Nobody on the staff to my knowledge has a sniff of coordinating an offense.

I agree.

Why I like recruiting: Hope runs abundant
Watching games: Not so much
Thanks for all that you do here, 86.

We are united in not spending money on tickets, clothes, stickers, or anything else that helps the football team, until the football program does something positive for us fans.

Speaking of being "sad" I got very sad last night before going to bed. It was the coolest night of the year in Central Florida so far so I began digging through my shirt drawer looking for something a little warmer to wear.
The deeper I dug the sadder I got. I started finding all of my old (and new) Canes gear, Canespace shirts and even a few of the classic WET YOUR PANTS TOUR shirts from out white water rafting days on the Chattooga River.
I thought back on all of the years we have been here blogging, waiting, blogging, hoping, blogging, and praying for something good to happen at The U once again.
I counted 9 Canespace Shirts, 8 UM shirts, 6 FHSAA championship T-shirts, 3 WYPT shirts and a couple of bowl game shirts like UM vs WV. Oh and I also counted 11 UM baseball caps.
I would say that over all the years that I was a season ticket holder (21 years), going to games, paying for hotels, transportation, food and drinks and buying gear I figure I have spent over $35,000 dollars on UM football events. And that does not include baseball and basketball games for another $2500.
Now I don't regret it because there was a lot of joy between 1982-2002 so I got my money's worth but man oh man that last 15 years have been a total waste of time and money.
Now, back to being sad again...

86,
Not sure why U r so confident about taking on LA Tech... their players got recruited too & their coaches get paid... sounds like an uphill battle to me!

In our downturn we have had a good unit at some point in time at every area except the o-line 🤔

p.s. a couple QB's hit level "decent"; not sure any of them hit "good", (though better QB-coaching and/or scheme and/or O-line probably would have helped several of them to the "good" or "better than good" level)
