Just ask the top scoring teams in college football and they will tell you.
Scoring is easy. They do it early and often and they like it a lot.
So guess which NCAA teams scored the most points in 2019?
Go ahead, we will wait. Guess who you think scored most?
OK, OK, I know you are tired of guessing, so here it is in easy terms:
- LSU 48/9/PPG
- Bama 47.2/PPG
- Ohio State 46.9/PPG
- Clemson 45.3/PPG
- UCF 43.4/PPG
- Oklahoma 42.1/PPG
- SMU 41.8/PPG
Funny how all of those teams are ranked near the top 10 of the Top 25.
So now you are wondering about the UM offense. What was Miami's average PPG?
Well, Miami scored an average of 25.7 points per game in 2019.
The Hurricanes ranked 90th is points scored per game.
And that ain't gonna get it done in 2020.
Lashlee, you got next. Can you score?

Enos could not coordinate himself out of a paper bag. I think we got ourselves another Dennis Erickson with more up tempo. A real coordinator.

We have a head coach who can’t motivate, we have an O Line that cant block, we have several QB’s who can’t throw, RBs who can’t run, kickers who can’t kick, a defense that can’t make a stop when it matters...yeah 2020 is gonna be the year we finally turn things around.
When 2020 is poop again who do we hire? Not for nothing, but Jay Gruden might be one guy to look at.
Posted by: Schnelly | January 11, 2020 at 05:57 AM
Funny how the top four are usually in the top 5 in recruiting the last 3 to 4 years, along with the offensive firepower. U wouldn't see Lsu in the conversation, about points had they not changed their offensive philosophy.
Posted by: The Herb | January 11, 2020 at 07:08 AM
Schnelly,
And go back pro style. Ha!
It's hard for us to get a reject O linemen.
Looked at the portal list and the big boys are jumping in, especially Georgia. It's not enough that they take the regular signing period but now they'll be taking a lot of bigger fish swimming in the portal. Newman and Justin Shorter are 100 % to da dawgs.

2017-57,900(MR), 2018-62,200(MR), 2019-53,300(MD). So What will 2020 Attendance Be?
Posted by: Terrance M Sullivan | January 10, 2020 at 04:26 PM
53,298 because you and I aren't going LOL. Actually as bad as this team has been coached I am surprised attendance was that high. With CMR we had that slow pathetic offense, his son as QB coach and once other teams figured out that all they had to do was stop the run ( and make Rosier win the game, well that was that.
Posted by: CGNC | January 11, 2020 at 09:03 AM
We didn’t have a guy who ran faster than a 4.6. We just spread the field, we played fast, we were tough, we were disciplined, we executed and it really gave us an advantage"

I like this hire for a variety of reasons. Coach Garret Justice (GJ) has not only shown a record of winning and developing all-conference offensive linemen at different programs, GJ has experience as an OL coach, as well as an OC and running game coordinator in spread offenses. GJ has also played OL position himself for a successful college football program. These are all traits sorely needed on the current staff.

If so, it’s more great news! Based on my recent conversations with local coaches, this recruiting situation needs to get fixed.
One of the best recruiters we had was Hurley Brown. Star ratings aside, Hurley knew what a good player looks like, how to identify a great college player and how to recruit him. I think Highsmith will bring that element to recruiting

All that's well and good, if they Zo help with player evaluations but if he is just a yes man and paper pusher what a waste.
Hopefully Justice can recruit. Don't need another dud. Like Zo said u have to have talent to win and inspire others
Posted by: The herb | January 11, 2020 at 03:22 PM
no need to get excited about zo
. . . if he signs, it'll be good cause he's football royalty
. . . but this definitely is not worth getting excited about until the dotted name has his signature
. . . and then we can hear what his duties are and how strong of a lash he wields

Nice post windy....its certainly what we need. It may not happen fast but got to give the coach time. I do not want to thin things out, but I think we need to tell some of the fat boys (OL)
and frat boys (Martell Pornboy) to get the F^^K out we do not need their BS!

Perhaps, given his lack of stature the proper nickname should be Manolito.

His first season was an epic failure but I have to give Manny some serious props for the two fires and subsequent hires he's made so far this off season.
If the offense can finally get their stuff together next season it would be a huge boost for us.

Ok, Manure has addressed 2 problems now let's finish this saga. Stubbs, Patke and Rumph, what about these 3 heroes? Don't stop now. Quit keeping us in suspense.
Manny can't possibly think our WR's played great and their route running stinks. Hell, the opposing Db's look like flex seal on them.
Patke is a complete waste and we all know Rumph is a mute on the crooting trail.
