He’s a lot closer than you think my friend.

Solar - LOL! I forgot about PB.

GoCanes - are you PB? asking for a friend (Solar) LOL.

Thanks Soup for the enjoyment.

I have been around since the Sun Sentinel days and remember the start of this bog. In my opinion Twitter slowed a lot of blogging down - everywhere, not just here. That, and *ish football

Hi CGNC....

AeroCane

So do you think a lot of these older, classic bloggers left when ‘Go Canes’ started?
Just curious! Lol

The guy [The Truth] was so deep inside you'd have thought he was a cardiologist.

The Truth was definitely someone who had access inside the program. I thought he could be related to a current or former Canes player or coach.

The entire group you mentioned Papa cane, Up North Cane, Ohio Cane, 360Cane, Canesrock, Mack Jones, Gin & Tonic, and the others were all on the All Decade Canespace team!

Good thought Aero,
I still have the same nick I had back at The Herald

I always liked Calvin's style, and take on things back in the day... but he kinda lost his mind there at the end...

Miami football key QB recruit top performer at Under Armour All-American Camp
by Alan Rubenstein13 minutes ago

Four-star quarterback prospect Miller Moss who is high on the Miami football 2021 recruiting list was one of the elite performers at the Under Armour All-America Camp in Southern California this weekend.
Four-star quarterback Miller Moss who has the Miami football program as one of five schools he is reportedly high on, excelled at the Under Armour All-American Camp in Orange County California this weekend. Moss was named the Alpha Dog by 247Sports and currently has 20 scholarship offers.

Moss is the highest-ranked uncommitted QB offered by the Miami football program. The Hurricanes currently have scholarship offers out to four pro-style QBs in the 2021 recruiting cycle and one dual-threat QB. Of those five signal-callers, Moss is the only one listed as warm with the Hurricanes.

Moss is an elite quarterback that could challenge 2020 incoming freshman Tyler VanDyke and potential returnees N’Kosi Perry and Tate Martell who will be redshirt seniors in 2021. The chances are strong that Martell, Perry or both could transfer after the 2020 season or even potentially before

Moss is the 60th ranked player in the country, the seventh-ranked pro-style QB and seventh-ranked player overall in California for 2021. VanDyke was the 220th ranked player in the 2020 signing class nationally, the seventh-ranked pro-style QB and top-ranked player in Connecticut. Right now VanDyke is the QB of the future.

“ALPHA DOG – QB Miller Moss, Mission Hills (Calif.) Bishop Alemany

The 6-foot-2, 197-pound prospect didn’t appear at all affected by the wet and gusty weather at Mission Viejo Stadium. Moss was accurate to all levels of the field, repeatedly hit receivers in stride both during one-on-one battles and in the 7-on-7 portion of camp, and looked poised in connecting on his deep ball.

He was smooth mechanically and showed off his arm strength on a number of impressive throws over the middle where he fit them into tight windows. With 20 scholarship offers on the table, the likes of California, Miami, Northwestern and UCLA are high on the list, while Stanford is also one to monitor closely.

Moss earned an invite to the 2021 Under Armour All-America Game with his performance.”

Mountain and Island region 247Sports analyst Blair Angulo is clearly high on Moss. Miami has traditionally recruited well signing QBs from California. Heisman Trophy winner and national champion Gino Torretta, national champion and Heisman Finalist Ken Dorsey and all-time leading passer
Brad Kaaya were from California.

Following his elite performance in Southern California this weekend, Moss received an invite to the Under Armour All-American game next year and was named one of their Future 50 as one of the best 50 players in the country. Five Miami signees in the Class of 2020 played in the Under Armour All-America game this year

Aqua knew players on a personal level from clubs and other activities. That where he got his 411 from.

The Truth is a high powered lawyer, heavy hitter, Golden Cane and on one of the Boards or committees at UM. That where he got the goods.

FACT.

"86Cane" was my original handle at the SS, MH and Da Space.

"SOUP" came from me banning people on the blog at the blink of an eye back in the day. NO SOUP FOR U!

"58 Straight" came about late one night when someone mentioned the 58 straight game win streak and I thought how the hell didn't anyone ever pick that name on the blog? It was too good to leave hanging out there!

86Cane

The other inside source we had on here was "Da Skreetz". He was an inner city coach or former UM player who knew people who knew things.

Remember "Da Wurd on Da Skreetz" is....

Thanks, Soup. Aqua and Da Skreetz were also two great bloggers. I used to read their stuff and learn a lot. They were very opinionated and hard-hitting.

I would be curious to hear their take on CMD, Lashlee, the roster, the recruits and the current state of affairs at UM.

It's time to go back to my roots.

I always wanted to think that The Truth was actually Jimmy Johnson.

Sarasota 'cane

C'mon man! I never bought the Da Skreetz stuff. I got to be honest it was uncomfortable to read sometimes. Like watching a white guy pretending to be "street" cringy.

I'm glad that's over...

Go 'canes!

solarcane

I had a lot of private emails with The Truth he did meet pb and he sat next to soup a couple times. He was very humble guy as far as I could tell.

He really got bored with the constant clashing and power struggle 86cane and Mary were going through keeping both blogs rosters filled, and that was part of the reason he moved on.

He advised me to take a break from blogging when the content went from Canes fans talking to people attacking each other.
That was good advice.

He never told me exactly who he was or how he got his information.
I emailed him to wish him well a few times but that email address was closed just like he told me it was going to be.

solarcane

Go/pb,
Im kinda disappointed you didn't email or tell me you were going underground, we had a pretty close relationship on here in the early years.

wait, "go" is "pb"?

damn, maybe that was elvis i saw last week

Sorry about that my friend. I very much enjoyed our exchanges and meeting you and your lovely wife at the UNC game many, many Saturdays ago,

I also was gone for a while because of a combination of factors. Had been banned a couple of times and got stuck in the middle of some different personalities as well. By the time I returned you had regretfully left us so I started using a new sign on. Out of respect for Tom I did email him early to let him know.

I am very glad to be lad to be back under my original name from way back in the Sun Sentinel days, mostly so I can once again pine for CGNC in the open.

As far as the Truth goes, I met him once for beers and as far as I can remember his connection to the team was more through a couple of players, not the university, but I may be wrong.

raizecane

Was the "truth" a bald-headed dude? I think I met him at a tailgate but it was hot and i was 7 - 8 deep in the captn-n-cokes so I could have been talking to a lamp post for all i know.

Yep that’s him.

Ahh man... all this serious nostalgia going on makes me pine for those good ole days. Like when we all truly believed we were only 1 recruiting class away from “being back”. Or a single player or two, or a single coach, was The Problem. Remember 86 asking, no begging Omar bloggers to check out his new site Canespace. Now we’re 15 years removed from decent Canes football and 13 since Canespace was birthed. Hard to believe. Cool thing... as many “old” bloggers are still around as have drifted away. Some not as active perhaps, but still here. Life sometimes intrudes.

THANK U Tom!

solarcane

If Lashlee is the real deal and King delivers the goods I think the biggest loser in recent Canes history will be Jeff Thomas.

If he had followed the rules shut his mouth worked like Braxton B. Came back for his senior year he would have the opportunity to be one of the top 5 receivers in the nation and his draft stock shoot straight up.

He made some really difficult catches and lost tons of yards having to come back for the ball when he did play.

If he had his stuff together this could have been his year, that said I hope Mike H and Brevin J have fantastic years.

College Football News Ranks Miami Schedule

This is another hella easy schedule.

2020 preseason ranking of the Miami football schedule from the hardest-looking games to the easiest

1. Nov. 14 at Virginia Tech
2. Sept. 26 at Michigan State
3. Oct. 31 at Virginia
4. Nov. 7 Florida State
5. Oct. 3 Pitt
6. Oct. 9 at Wake Forest
7. Oct. 24 North Carolina
8. Nov. 21 at Georgia Tech
9. Nov. 28 Duke
10. Sept. 5 Temple
11. Sept. 19 UAB
12. Sept. 12 Wagner

Terrance M Sullivan

Solar That's Not The Most difficult Schedule but it's far from a easy schedule. That's 9 Bowl Teams(VT, MSU, UVA, FSU, Pitt, WF, UNC, Temple, UAB, from Last Year outta 12 Games.

solarcane

I'm still riding the 50%(we win some we lose some) taxi with Aero and CGNC till I actually see us pound a few teams in a real game.
I have been about 8-4 every since
LSU slapped the Kool Aid out of our mouth.

We have all our apples bet that King stays healthy for 13 games, that could be tough to do with the swiss cheese posse lurching around three yards behind him every play.

Terrance M Sullivan

Solar/Aero/CGNC Is Spearheading The 7% Bus? Or Do You All Want To Call It The 6% Bus. Let Us Know. If You have Ever Been To The Rock For The Hurricane Walk you know their are 3 Busses for the Team So Keeping With That This Is Our Canespace Spin On It The 12% Bus(Soupster)12-0, The 10% Bus(Terrance)10-2 and The 7% Bus(CGNC)7-5! These Are only Regular Season this Does Not Include Post Season (ala ACC Championship and Bowl Season) Declare Your Ride by February 29th. Go Canes!

HerbieIbis

We ain't going no 7-5. Bank THAT! Got to show The Herbster that u have the Jewels to win on the road and not lay down like road kill. We will find a way to lose a few, I'm sad to say. Still need some pieces, that Manny still keeps forgetting.
Have to make sure, through recruiting, that we are stocking ALL positions.

solarcane

sully,
so far I'm walking to the games.
I think we could win about 9, but just like everyone on here I have no idea if Manny has them ready to play on the road,if the kickers stay healthy,King stays healthy, Mac Brown forgets how to coach.

It's fun to predict 10 11 12 game wins every season in February and I get it and think its great for our morale on the space considering what we have been through.

So if its alright with everybody Ill sit back and enjoy the wins, not be dumbfounded by the losses and pretty much content with us moving in the right direction, thanks!

Terrance M Sullivan

Solar Sounds like A Plan U , CGNC, and Aero are spearheading the 7% Bus. Herbster I will put you down for the 10% Bus with me are you cool to that.

solarcane

Michigan State has the highest ranked strength of schedule next season, Miami comes in at 66th toughest schedule.
I would have thought all the SEC teams would have the toughest but they schedule some real cup cakes away from conference.
