Dang,
Just saw where The states top WR, Jacory Brooke's is going to Bama. Snuck right in DA backyard. Just can't keep the top dogs at home, yet!

I am so scared about you suckers talking me into another year where we go 12-0 like Champions and then we wind up 8-3 again like Chucky Cheese. I will let Old Skool decide what we do. Do we stay or do we go now?

Clemson is beaten 59-0 in the ACC title game, and Trevor Lawrence gets hit so often that he throws up, just like that Syracuse QB in 1993.

Miami destroys Alabama 64-3 in the NC game, while amassing over 200 yards in penalties.

I have it UM 31, Clemson 17.

I have it UM 31, Alabama 17.

But that is just my 2020 score card so who knows.

Last!

Go ‘canes!

I told you all that I am done.

SolarCane has declined running the blog. I am waiting for a reply from Old Skool to see if he wants a shot at it but I doubt it.

UMike, Big Windy, TonyCane or anyone else who likes to write articles and wants to make this yours please let me know ASAP because as of 6/30 we go dark.

That is all.

Real Talk We Need Wiggins, Harley, Pope to play like the 4&5 Star ⭐️ Receivers they were graded out to be that we recruited and earn their keep and allow the other younger players to supplement the Passing game! We have plenty of highly rated receivers they just need to play like it! Same with Offensive Line Dudes Need To Step Up Sir Step Out as The Soupster would say. Lead, Follow, Or Get The Bleep Out The Way! It’s Good a That Football Discussions Are Starting To Come Back Again! In whatever median that follows we will keep in contact and figure things out! Happy Mother’s Day To CGNC, Mrs. Soupster, and All The Canesspace Mother’s Out There!

Tom, give me a call please.

The last scholarship for 2020 has been filled. Miami lands 4 star OL Isaiah Walton, rescuing him from the fetid Swamp.

Tom is a grown man who has the right to do as he pleases, BUT I think if holds off just a bit longer he will be rewarded with a heck of a season.

Everyone should know by now I've been very hard on Manny, giving him a resounding F Grade for his first season, even proclaiming after the FIU game that his regime could never ever get this thing righted.

Weill i think I was wrong.

Too many good things have happened, especially on the side of the ball that cost us every win last year. We are heading for a heck of a season.

So let's compromise Tom. Keep the space open six more months. After all these years of frustration, take a chance on what could be a magical last ride for the Space!

The Word From The Herb

U know we start off with Bama in 21, so we need just about everything to start going right now, so mo will be with us when that day gets here.
That includes, no more losing to trash teams.
No more playing like dogs on the road.
Plug the holes in the wire where there have been breaches allowing our top players to slip thru.
The teams we should pound, start pounding them.
In other words start playing like the Canes of old, minus the big yardage lost in penalties each game.
Stack depth of Talent.
Sounds simple enough. If Manny wants to pattern the U like Dabo has done at Clemson, then sum how he has to keep a majority of his staff, from walking. I think Clemson has lost maybe 3 coaches in 8 years.

What about moving it over to the Facebook page? Yes, some of you will have to open facebook accounts but you can put as much or as little of yourself as you want on it.

With Issaiah Walker onboard we're now at our 25 scholarship annual limit. Unless...

...saw this elsewhere.

NCAA 2019-2020 current rules defining a recruited athlete versus a student athlete:

15.02.9 Recruited Student-Athlete.
For purposes of Bylaw 15, a recruited student-athlete is a studentathlete who, as a prospective student-athlete: (Adopted: 1/15/11 effective 8/1/11, Revised: 4/25/18) (a) Was provided an official visit to the institution’s campus; (b) Had an arranged, in-person, off-campus encounter with a member of the institution’s coaching staff (including a coach’s arranged, in-person, off-campus encounter with the prospective student-athlete or the prospective student-athlete’s family members); or (c) Was issued a National Letter of Intent or a written offer of athletically related financial aid by the institution for a regular academic term.

15.5.6.3.3 Nonrecruited Student-Athlete Receiving Institutional Financial Aid During First Year. [FBS/FCS] A student-athlete not recruited (per Bylaw 15.02.9) by the institution who receives institutional financial aid (based in any degree on athletics ability) after beginning football practice during the first year of enrollment becomes a counter but need not be counted as an initial counter until the next academic year if the institution has reached its initial limit for the year in question. However, the student athlete shall be considered in the total counter limit for the academic year in which the aid was first received.

So, what is being speculated is that we could ALSO get U of Houston senior OL Jarrid Williams onboard this year if he does not take an official visit, meet with coaches in person, nor get a NLI. He can come as a walk-on and then be granted a scholarship on his first day of practice.

The scholarship would still count towards the 85 man overall limit, but would not be credited against the 25 man annual limit. In the case of the latter, we're at 78 presently so there's still plenty of room. In the case of the former, we're at 25 now with Issiah Walker.

Done correctly, this might be a way to get Taulia Tagovailoa aboard as well.

The Herb

Whoa!
VA, dude harbor no ill will dog! I guess if u got to go down, go down in flames.
I will say this, The Herb agrees that we get off topic, during down times, which these are at present but what else is there to talk about, with everything at a standstill?
I mentioned this to Solar, we hardly ever talk about recruiting anymore on here.
We've had what, 4 verbs in the last 10 days and aside from myself and a few comments, nobody had much to say.
Recruiting is year round gig and something that I have kept up with for 50 years. Street And Smith, always got the annual edition. I keep up with the stuff like a religion. I'm also a music fanatic.
We all have our likes and dislikes and times and things change. None us really like the way things have gone for the last 18 years.
I liked the brashness, the dancing and the shyt talking days of old but nothing stays the same. The NCAA handbook of do's and dont's is an ode to our past Canes. Just like a lot of the bloggers that used to be on here, where did they go. I was counting just off the top of my head 28, that no longer post at all or once In a blue moon. Who knows why.
It's fun talking crap and the banter back and forth and yes sometimes, it would go to far but I still liked it.
It was like the Canes of old, let the garbage flow.
I've been on here for 10 years as I mentioned in an earlier post and have thoroughly enjoyed stating my opinions and feelings and will keep posting comments until this thing sinks or swims. Yes there are other sites and I read them all, 247, Canesinsight, Canes Warning but u got to pony up for the inside info, which sux but if u hold on a little bit someone will cough up the info.
Sorry for the ramble.

Tony
I like your thinking
We need to use whatever legal, aggressive moves necessary to get both. I like the qb, as we need competition and I’m not sold on van dyke or matchoa (yet) and williams would be a great 1 year gap to help walker and rivers move slower into the rotation. Jmo

Just curious
Does anyone on here read anyone else’s posts or do you just post like you’re the first to discuss any subject? Again just curious

I, for one, read them... 🙌🏼

roachcane77

I'm not so sold on the Facebook idea.

Facebook seems too "open" to me, and less "personal" than our Canespace Typepad blog. (Not to mention all of the advertising... )

But, if it's the ONLY way forward... something is better than nothing.

roachcane77

I'm kinda old school though...

I still like the "older" version of Typepad where we had to scroll to the bottom to see the most recent posts. (I just use "History" to get back "in" after first starting new blog articles, so as not to have to relaunch and take too many steps to get back to the present posts.)

Just me...

HerbieIbis

I read the post.
Have never been on Facebook. I'm good enough on modern technology but If The Herb had to rate himself, with 10 being the highest, I'm a 5. I have no patience when it comes to this stuff, especially when go from one page to the next and u have to wait for the page to come up and god forbid, you leave a letter out or number, it stops u from going to the next page.
Paste something on a page, What, I think you're talking about glue. U get the drift of my ignorance.

I am totally cool with It Being A Facebook Page! Great Call CGNC And Soupster! How About Setup The Facebook Page can still call it Canesspace My Suggestion would be a Post Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday! If you want can take some of these posts that you have done recently in the past couple of months and post them and that can get us through the next couple of months and if you want bring in new material say July 1st! So if you want the 1st Article comes out May 12th! 2nd one On May 14th, 3rd one On May 17, so forth and so on! And The Page Can Grow Over Time!

HerbieIbis

Just read on Yardbarker, where Saban advised Hurts not to go to Miami or Maryland where Enos and Locksley had moved to. He told him to go where they had the best players and Saban said Oaklahoma had the best players.

LOL I have faith you can master Facebook. It's not that hard - at least half of us are already on there.

Roach at least it would be a forum where we could all virtually be together. It would probably be easier to share news articles

I just got rid of my Facebook so I would request that we move it to Twitter. You can still be anonymous, you can still thread the discussion, the owner of the account can still block offenders, and it’s free.

Go ‘canes!

Set it up and we will follow. I will set up the Facebook Group and we can have both or one or the other whichever works best. Set up the same way as a group with approved people and those who violate rules will be removed.

roachcane77

I'll follow wherever... (said the addict.)🤣🙌🏼
