Manny Diaz has perfected it at Miami. Still, not a big hit.

Your Miami Hurricanes, coming off two huge wins over top 25 ranked teams, displayed another momentary lapse of reason while playing against Georgia Tech at Hard Rock Stadium. They barely won by three points.

Nobody, at least not any reasonable person, would have expected or predicted any other outcome other than a 34-13 Miami victory over the Yellow Jackets.

However, it seems that some good coaching and a few "reasonable people" are very hard to find these days. And, so the beat goes on, and on, and on.

Manny Diaz looks good for a minute, then looks like he likes living on the edge.

Manny's buns have been toasted by the coaching hot seat more than once. He lost to FIU remember. FIU can't beat a yellow light much less a good team other than Manny's Hurricanes. But that's how he rolls I guess?

Well, don't look now but we have "Hate Week" upon us. Yes, once again, UM vs FSU is happening this weekend and Manny and crew better be ready.

If Miami pulls off the same lame game they displayed against Georgia Tech then the Noles, as bad and poorly coached as they may appear, will stomp a serious azz whooping on the Hurricanes just as quick as you can say "Bobby Bowden".

And that, Dabgummit, would be in every way, most unacceptable.

Terrance, chokies don't consider Miami a rival don't you know? UNC and UVA are their primary rivals when they have to save a buck to retain another terrible coach who never won anything of importance. Men's basketball team has enough pieces to be competitive in a lot of games this season if they stay healthy. Of course that hasn't happened recently so maybe they're due?

Minnesota Vikings star Dalvin Cook is facing a lawsuit from a former girlfriend for alleged assault, battery and false imprisonment for a year-ago altercation at his home, the Star Tribune reported Tuesday, and the fifth-year running back is accusing the woman of assaulting and extorting him.

Cook’s attorney, David Valentini, said the woman, a U.S. Army sergeant, unlawfully entered Cook’s home, assaulted him and has been trying to settle her claim for “millions of dollars.”

According to details from the lawsuit that were reported by the Star Tribune, the woman traveled to Cook’s home near Vikings headquarters to end their relationship on Nov. 19, 2020. She said Cook was angered by her request that he help her gather her belongings. She said Cook then “grabbed her arm, and slung her whole body over the couch, slamming her face into the coffee table and causing her lower forehead and the bridge of her nose to bust open.”

The Star Tribune also reported the lawsuit, which was filed in Dakota County District Court, includes as evidence messages sent from Cook to the woman after the fight apologizing for his actions. She said she suffered a concussion, deep cuts to her face and other bruising.

Well, another mention of Butch back to the U, geez let a dead dog lie.
We've lived and died on the edge for 5 games, why not make it 6. We have a Qb, finally but he has yet to have that wtf game yet. Yeah he started out poorly to games but the dude is for real, at least against ACC opponents, which ain't saying much but he has looked good.
Don't see us running for a lot of yards but if we can run for effect we should be alright that an the OH line holds up.

At the same time, it does create transfer portal pressure. Those same six teams still have not convinced the NCAA to do away with the scholarship limit. With that in mind, there are some talented players who will leave Georgia or Alabama for more playing time, ala the kid who left the Bulldogs for FSU.
