Yeah, we know that Miami played Virginia Tech in an important ACC matchup at Hard Rock Stadium on Saturday night. And, of course as we all expected your Miami Hurricanes beat the Hokies by the score of 34-13.
Oh wait check that. Apparently the score was UM 38- VT 26. But who is counting, right? Miami actually played very well in the first half and then as usual allowed the other team to make the game just stressful enough so that their fans could never relax. We wouldn't have it any other way.
What really mattered was that some, but not all, of the original Canespace band was back together again. Several members of the band may look a little older from the wear and tear but they showed up. And they dominated.
The tailgate was epic as always and the windy, and at times stormy weather, couldn't dampen our spirits. So we all agreed to do this again next year for one game late in the season just for sport and for fun.
Until then we will just be thankul for the company, the game and the outcome.

Damn...if we had that group on the field against Bama OSU GA or other top ten teams....they'd run in fear...thats a mean ass looking lineup....put em on the field let em all be 2 way players...gosh we would be unbeatable!!!! a little older but still mean as hell...and steeped in fundamentals!

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – The University of Miami men’s basketball team dropped a 76-60 decision to Dayton Thursday afternoon in the first round of the ESPN Events Invitational.
The Flyers’ excellent shooting, particularly beyond the arc, proved too much for Miami (3-2) to handle at the HP Field House at the ESPN Wide World of Sports. Third-year sophomore guard Isaiah Wong paced the Hurricanes with 10 points in the Thanksgiving Day setback.
“Well, Dayton’s pressure defense to start the game really disrupted us. They got into our heads,” Miami head coach Jim Larrañaga said. “We became very disjointed and never were able to organize our offense or defense to the point where there was a chance for us to make a comeback and win the game.”
Miami held an early 13-11 lead, but the Hurricanes then stalled offensively. They missed nine straight shots over five-plus minutes, as Dayton (2-3) went on a 9-0 run to go in front, 20-13, with 7:27 on the clock.
The Flyers continued their offensive surge, posting a stretch in which they went 8-of-10 from the floor, to go up by 13, 36-23, with 1:06 left before the break. The Hurricanes scored the final basket of the half and went into the intermission down by 11, 36-35.
Dayton shot 53.8 percent (14-of-26) in the opening 20 minutes, while Miami posted a 30.0 percent clip (9-of-30). The Flyers also recorded a 44.4 percent mark (4-of-9) from deep, while the Hurricanes shot 9.1 percent (1-of-11) beyond the arc in the opening frame.
Coming out of the locker room, Miami scored six straight points to pull within five, but Dayton countered with 10 in a row of its own. The burst included back-to-back 3-pointers by redshirt junior guard Elijah Weaver, helping the Flyers take a then-game-high 15-point edge, 46-31, with 15:24 remaining.
The Hurricanes never got any closer than 11 the rest of the way, as Dayton earned the victory in front of a bevy of its fans clad in red and white.

An AD, a Coach, all Support Staff, all other football personnel, etc. CLEAN HOUSE, from TOP TO BOTTOM. I wonder what the former players recommend. They, at least, know what needs to happen, without an ax to grind.
I saw the Canes play in Syracuse, during the Championship year, and will never forget, Dorsey, Shockey, Larry Coker, etc etc. Simply magnificent!!!

Whatever was said in the locker room at halftime today, bottle it because if you can combine it with decent defense of the three point line while getting some scoring support off the bench, Wong's ankle won't ruin the season right away from here.

Should done been fired, starting 2 and 4 and definitely should of been gone after that fiasco at FSU. Probably give him the bowl game and go from there.
If we don't get rid of him, then we possibly lose out on Lane. I don't think Mario leaves the Ducks, except for us, whenever that may be.
No way we need to head into next year with Manny, minus Lash. All lame ducks, if that happens.
My hope is Lane but the big Money will be on Mario or bust.

This year we have a good O...but terrible D...and the STs have been pretty spotty..punting and FGs pretty good...the rest is terrible terrible tackling and blocking....but the O looks good today...

So, Clemson, Boston College and North Carolina should be pissed off at the season results this year in the conference, everyone else can't complain about being disappointed where they finished. Another reason why Diaz should get another year to coach his own recruits in an effort to earn a real extension instead of a keeping up appearances buyout lowering one. Cristobal will still have Miami as his dream job in 2022 anyway. Whoever picked the one division champion correctly in the preseason should get maybe half a raise from the fish wrap or tin can on a string podcast they currently create for.

And it would be the end of our beloved canes! Manny can not get us over the hump - it’s not in his dna!
The recruits and fan base will be gone if we give manny another year snd that will set us back another 3 to potentially 10 years IF we can ever get back.
Manny needs to go but we have a bunch of idiots on our BOT that just don’t care or are totally clueless. Either way they suck!

Get the dam industrial broom out and sweep him on out. It's good we played good down the stretch but it's not like we have beat a whose who of college football. Truth be told, we should only lost one game. MSU ain't that good, we were just that poorly coached.
This team has talent. Get the right coaches and find about 4 to 5 pieces in the portal, this team could really bring back memories of old but not unless we get the right coach and the right 2 coordinators.

All I can say is USC went for broke and got a good coach; he is a good coach he will get them to a higher level...will they win it all...dont know but they will get better faster than they would with run of the mill coaches. 55-10, 85% win...pretty good. The competition...avg about like the ACC.
UM needs to move on it like SC did...dont wait get the wheels turning!

Well, it took SC a couple months to get Riley. Now they moved fast once the regular season ended.
He will roll their. He will be able to get the cruits that were running out of state. Give him 3 years and SC will be back. Like Kiffin, he needs to get a strong Dee coordinator. Oakie hadn't been great on Dee, while he was head man.
