The team has internal strife, especially between Dick Van Dyke and WR's and the dislike of the scheme.
Teams have been jamming the box against us for years because we couldn't run and now cause we can't throw but cupcake routes, they have no respect for us throwing deep.
A&M played their safties deep and weren't allowing anything over their head.
We are in trouble offensively. Got one healthy RB. 6 stiffs at WR.
Defensively in the secondary Ivey, Crouch and even Blades are washed up but since we don't really recruit the position to hard, what do u expect.

BUT they are nothing more than backups and that is being kind.

I didn't get to watch the game, a good thing, I guess. I can't believe how bad I felt when I saw the score. I am so tired of this feeling every year
about this time. Season over so soon. We are stuck with what we have. Let's hope the coaches see the light and change the offence back to the spread, realize we are in spread country here in south Florida. Put Garcia in as our QB and start over now so the recruits will see that we learned our lesson. If these bull headed coaches start now we may be able to end the season with dignity. and save some of our recruits.

I feel bad for all of us especially 86. I love all of my cane spacers and hope no one gives up on our beloved Canes.

It is 3:54 in the morning and I can't sleep because of my Miami Hurricanes football team. Wonder how many players or coaches are up now for the same reasons I am.

Nameless bloggers come on the blog to chastise and ridicule me while their football team is the one that needs critiquing not me. I have better things to do with my time.

Apparently, money can't buy love and it can't buy wins either.

But it can buy me a boat.

It could buy me a truck to pull it.

After playing in front of 107,ooo and coming home to a 1/2 empty Hard Rock, you have to feel down. No energy. The Canes need their own home. In the dream, it would be on campus or at least within walking distance. As for TVD bad mouthing the fans, he is not the right guy to lead the team now. Give Garcia a shot. Bench Mallory. Give some younger TEs a chance. Stop over-hyping the NFL issue, media. Encourage loyalty to UM!!! How many of these kids get conned by agents and sacrifice their eligibility for empty promises? It hurts the program. Question Gattis' run up the middle play calling. Parrish plays with the most heart of anyone and now may be hurt. We need 50 Henry Parrishes. Go Canes. Find your pride. Many of us are with you. Give Mario some time. Look at FSU's turnaround.

I do think there are high expectations for super Mario and this staff.There is no doubt there was a literal meltdown in all phases of offense and defense football yesterday.There is no excuse for any of it; it looks like the same football we have seen since the fiasco in the Fiesta in Jan 2003. As ST216 said, we beat ourselves with mistakes.

Well we made a lot of them yesterday in about every area...and every fundamental concept. If you can screw it up, we did it. Coach, staff players...all own it...I hope.

I think a lot of people went off the deep end when Mario was hired. They said its time...then staff was hired AD was hired and many said NC no problem! The facts are simple; we lost a lot of players, a lot of the D. We had no real WRs besides Restrepo...and the running backs are small and fragile...the OL has come back to earth. There are no stars on this team; no all conference guys top notch. TVD is good; but a lot of people are good. Not a knock, a fact. Folks I know the deal; it is a team with some good players that can win some games. This is not a division title team; it is going to be tough each game; there are no gimmes.Until we can find out who we are and what we can do it will be tough.

Its high expectations for an average team. I am not making excuses or trying to make it out as something it is not. Mario and the boys are going to have to battle, win what they can and get on the recruiting trail and show your skills.

Dont panic dont get angry....it was bad football and if you want good football, you should watch GA Bama and Ohio State and Michigan...they are good teams...TEAMS....we have a lot of guys who do not understand assignment football fundamental football...its gonna take time...heard that right? I was disappointed as well...but the other new kid on the block OK lost....Gators lost, USC skated by....so don't throw the baby out without teaching him FUNDAMENTALS and work on mental toughness with thick skin.

I slept well and we got a week off, so its time to get working harder!

Dam, everybody still in a funk. We aught to be use to it by now. The only difference is a major dinero investment.
As the illustrious Randy Shannon once said, there ain't no waver wire to get help or something along those lines. It looks like all our games are going to be just like they have been for years. Who knows which team is going to show up.
The college game is about schemes and everybody has somebody that can run, well maybe except us but anyway as long as you have a Qb that can run it, teams can score, that is the equalizer for these lower tier teams, the spread, pistol, air raid or what ever u want to call it. Look at Wake, hell they can score on anyone and their system is run like a machine. They don't have the talent level but that system they run and the QB gives them a chance. They throw it all over the field and run for effect. We should be doing the same thing but NO back to that dam antiquated Pro style. To easy to defend, especially for teams that have talent on Dee. I'm sure a team like Bama Hope's u run a pro style instead of chasing 4 and 5 Wr's all over the field in a spread offense. Mario needs to rethink this and especially Gattis or against teams that have way more talent than MTSU we will come to a grinding halt.

This was horrible, but I am not giving up on Mario just yet. The culture and mentality of this team likely won't be changed in a season. You have so many players used to starting and getting playing time even after playing like shit..no accountability ever. They don't mind losing. That kind of thinking doesn't change overnight. So we will see how Mario responds.

We have already seen how he plans and prepares, why should we now wait to see how he responds? Why didn't he prevent this situation in the first place. Why was he not proactive? Why should we expect him to "do better" now be being reactive?

I feel no pity for Mario. He only has himself to blame. He was hired, along with his experienced and highly paid staff, to make the team better, He, and the coaches, have failed so far, and badly.

This was the same shyte, on the same field, by the same team as we have seen for the last 20 years. He was hired to change that. As evidenced on the field where it counts, not in press conferences where it doesn't, Mario has not changed a damn thing about this team except for maybe ruining the career of a potential first round QB NFL draft pick.

Getting beat by a more talented team is one thing. Coming into a game against a weak team with no ganme plan, no motivation and poor execution and getting beat by not even trying is something that is completely unacceptable.

TVD a fraud? That fraud threw for over 300 yards and 3 TDs in the last 6 games of 2021 so not sure if that is a fraud or not? But I agree the new offense and his performance are simply not acceptable this year.

BTW...Rhett Lashley is the first year Head Coach at SMU where he is 2-2 and has scored 48, 45, 27 and 34 points in the first four games.

TVD got Hot and did his thing the last 6 Games of last year after finding his sea legs during the First 3 Games! But he has totally regressed with horrible footwork, staring down Receivers, and not putting in the work with all the Receivers and backs and not just X and Will. I also know he miss Rambo and Hartley. But their is an obvious disconnect with the Skill Position Players. The Offensive Coaching Is Straight Booty Juice! TVD gives off the I don't want to be here Vibes! So he is a Fraud as in not wanting to be the best he can be and lead the team. But he could probably be a First Round Draft Pick their are some really dumb NFL GM's. But JG13 seems to actually want to be their work well with his skill position Players despite the Straight Booty Juice Offensive Schemes!

Miami can still win the ACC. However I am not sure I would worry about winning the ACC. I think the players, coaches, the whole program is hurting due to the weight of history. They need to worry about having fun playing football and having fun kicking butt. The future of the program depends on it.

Some of the greatest musicians of all-time couldn’t read a note of music. They just played. They rocked out. We don’t as a team.

There is no reason for Miami to have been so bad over the last 20 years. We have put out quite a few nfl players in that time. Recruited way better than we have played. We have underachieved like no other team. Us being so bad at tackling makes absolutely no sense. We have not recruited that poorly.

That’s probably my biggest worry about Mario. Not sure if he can teach the kids how to enjoy what they are doing.

To his credit Lashlee got that last year. He switched it up and just let those young men play and then the O went into high gear.

I don’t know if I am explaining it well but Prince could play 27 instruments. He could not read sheet music. Coaches need to just put them in the best position to let go and play.

Sorry but it’s been 15 years since this thing could of been turned around in a single year. We’ve been deluded before - one good season here and there, always followed up by disappointment. It was a nice fantasy but there was no way Mario comes in and sets all the ships aright in a single off-season. That’s no excuse for last Sat. It’s just a reminder that as frustrating as it is, we won’t know the reality for another year perhaps two. In some ways it’s better to know the team is baby butt soft early rather than later.
