It’s Game Day! In My Opinion The Most Consequential Game Of The Year! Win It and you prove that you are indeed a Good Team and on the right track, or Lose The Game and it proves you are at best a average team with not a true Big Win or your Resume since 2017 (Coach Mark Richt Era). Put Up or Shut Up Time! Go Canes! Beat Clemson!

Posted by: Terrance Sullivan | October 21, 2023 at 06:49 AM

I say the Canes and Cristofraud PUT UP!

YooperCane

Yep, pretty much sums it up!

Herbieibis

Won't be able to see the game, so hopefully I get some scoring updates and maybe we will get some imagitive play calling tonight.

VanDyke is out, and a true freshman is in at quarterback. God help us.
Getting to old for this. Love my Canes and all of you. No quarterback, not a good sign.
0-0 1st quarter 5 minutes left. Clemson on the 4 yard line. Woops, fumble and recovered by Miami!!!🟩🟧💚🧡

Terrance Sullivan

We Better Put Up! Go Canes!

Herbieibis

Well, evidently Clemson is showing us how to use the TE.

BeyondBasura

Fuck mario

Sarasota 'cane

Hell yeah!

Go ‘canes!

YooperCane

What a game! Thank you Canes for winning and not ruining my Sunday and work week. Go Canes!

Terrance Sullivan

Huge Consequential Win! And The Funny Yet Sad Part about all this! The Team won despite the Dips**t Coaching of Mario Cristofraud and Shannon Dawson. Happy we won in the end! Go Canes! Next Week Homecoming against Virginia let's win that Game and become Bowl Eligible!

Old Skool

“They found a way to win,” Clemson coach Dabo Swinney said, “and we found a way not to win.”

Captain Obvious strikes again. The applies to every recorded victory in the history of mankind

Old Skool

How big was the win

Clemson had blown out Miami in each of the last four meetings between the schools by a combined score of 178-30.

CGNC

How are we feeling today Canespace family? What a game! Much to be proud of - first, true freshman #44 Reuben Bain, my spirit animal, appears to be a generational player - he is that good. Second, Kudos to Emory Williams another true freshman - they had to really simplify everything and let him get used to the speed of a game against an actual opponent. Once comfortable and the game slowed a little for him he threw some nice passes in the 4th. His post-game interview on The Huddle was great - very young, bright-eyed eager to learn.

Not sure why we were not awarded that safety, perhaps the replay needs to be in Braille?

Anyway, enjoy the win and your Sunday!

GO CANES!!!

CGNC

So Huge Of A Win. Thrilling Victory!

Miami with 24 portal players.

Clemson has just 1.

Dabo self inflicting wounds on his own program just like Miami’s administration did in the early 2000s when they refused to increase spending in an era where college athletic budgets (and facilities) began to soar.

Clemson gradually fading, Miami surging up. Bang up job by Mario at roster construction.

MLALUMNI 1970

Tired, but so happy and relieved. A win sure feels good. Listened to WQAM on my phone, up here in Michigan. I have the flu, since last Wednesday, but am so damn proud of our boys. It looked like Hard Rock was rocking and rolling.
Does Mario make the decisions?? Wasn’t sure. Smart calls by the OC, and the defense was magnificent and magical.🟩🟧
Were any of you at the game??

Virginia has gone from generally inept to competent enough to have a chance as of this week, so whoever is taking snaps is going to have to play well to keep winning at home in conference play Saturday. That's the toughest defense UM will play this season from a personnel point of view. ACC officiating tried to screw the team over once more but just couldn't quite seal the deal for the visitors, which means the program has vital signs present again.

They can still win out, tough to do the rest of the way, and UNC can get tripped up plenty from here, not at all impossible, which would put them in second for the regular season and a chance to play against a revenge seeking primary rival for the conference championship at the conclusion of the season, I'm just saying . . .

Herbieibis

Well, they finally got over the hump of coming from behind and also winning a big game.
Pretty much knew they would Vanilla up the game plan to help Williams out. Thank Jesus we have Bain and Leonard finally decided to display his talents. Don't know if he'll take next week off but when we needed him he stepped up. I see the secondary made Klubnick look like an A-A but I guess we had to sacrifice something. They choked Clemson out on the run.
They have a chance to roll. The talent is their to win out But the penalties are still a problem and they still keep trying to give games away. Been a shame to run 80yds.and not get nothing, thank goodness George was their.

Old Skool

Supposedly Blount is flipping to the Noles.

58 Straight

And not a single one of U gave me any credit or even mention for my righteous, wonderful and positive prediction. Why I even bother i have no idea. Addictions are hard to break I guess.

VA Cane

Clemson fumbled the ball twice and had a pick....I think they had 2 more fumbles they recovered. We were 50% on 3rd and 4th down....that helps! Rushed for 211 yards....a win is a win....we competed we won the TO battle and we did not quit. Penalties 8 for 90...pitiful stat....we have to think....it is the most important fundamental...thinking.

We did not quit and saw some good things!

58 you got it spot on you said a win....me...I had a loss....but then what the hell do I know!!!

CGNCPa I am sure you were happy with the win!!!! You are a positive for like 58!

I liked the twitter post of TVD....or was it Michael Rapaport ....I'll never know....celebrating.
I will take a win any day. UVA gonna come in here riding high...big win for the program! We still owe them big time for the closing of The OB game....11.10.07 48 to 0...what and embarrassing ending for the U!!!!

We need to kick their buts and get our stuff together!
Glad we won!

TonyCane

Virginia is on the List of Woe for that game (2006 OB). Decades of blowout victories of them only barely scratch the surface of that ignominious game.

Other teams on that list:

LSU
North Carolina
Ohio State

Their days will eventually come. Just as it did for Clemson.

Herbieibis

Their ain't no supposedly, he did flip to FSU and to make matters worse he is reclassifying to this cycle. This sucks. Another DT whiff. Says they can develop him better, WTF. Portal time, AGAIN!

Tony U left out Notre Dame.

58 - I wrote you a long azz lovey-dovey sunshiney paragraph of appreciation last blog and U never said nuttin! So no credit for U my friend - NO SOUP ONE YEAR!

I’ll admit to hating the game plan: intensely Q1-2, then less so as it started to work Q3-4. Totally disagreed with playing for OT. Now we see why I don’t coach! Everyone hating on Mario and his staff needs to credit him for getting the W. HC gets the hate when we lose AND the credit when we win.

Seems like we’re always “a year or two away” when we’re “good” and in need of a total tear down and rebuild when we’re bad. But reality is that OC #3 in 3 years makes it tough for the O. We desperately need Mario to be at least a good recruiter and stick around to provide stability & build a foundation. Just plan on every game this season being a tossup

360Cane

So, we're not smoking the Blount after all, huh? When we beat FSU, all is forgotten.

I tried to type that with a straight face.

I was happy to see the D play their hearts out on Saturday. []_[]

Duly noted. Punishment accepted.

MLALUMNI 1970

So, Blount decided to go to FSU. What a damn shame. What do they have that we don’t?? Makes the incentive to win, all the greater.🟧🟩
They pay these kids to play, now. Don’t they?? Why in the hell VZ would you go to FSU, when you have sun, sand, hot chicks, and a great University of Miami?
I am home with the flu. Had it since last Wednesday. Just miserable.

Still sick with the flu. Been drinking chicken soup. Not throwing up anymore, and the diarrhea has stopped. I know, too much information!
Waiting for the next football game. As sick as I am, I stayed in bed, after the game, and listened to WQAM RADIO. I loved listening to the radio, after the game. I am not a Mario fan, but he escaped another one. Great recruiter, but not a good coach. I love our Canes.💚🧡🟩🟧
What is your take on the game???

JCane

Blount is from 45 min outside of Tally and was going to be tough to keep from FSU regardless. Anyway, next up?

Herbieibis

MaryLou,
I guess hasn't been watching the development of Bain this season, since he now thinks FSU can make him better.

Old Skool

Surprise, surprise

OC Dan Enos was let go Sunday after Arkansas fell 7-3 to Mississippi State on Saturday. The Razorbacks gained 200 yards on 67 plays during the game; KJ Jefferson completed 19-of-31 passes for 97 yards with an interception, while four Hogs rushers combined for 103 yards on 37 carries

Old Skool

Here's a bet I would have lost at the beginning of the season .... That we would be ranked behind Air Force, Tulane and the James Madison Dukes in the CFB polls

Concern trolls so worried about an underage jock to sniff that won't be playing college football this year in the middle of the season, better try-post as a cover.

Preseason All-American basketball team feature two centers, an ACC forward each from the blueblood NC schools thanks to bias and one 6-3 guard Big East's player of the year because the ACC POY winner is a pro now. Hurricanes are much taller on average in the 2-5 positions it looks like with this season's rotation than last year, but they're still small compared to what the media considers talent in the sport, so maybe next year? Won't be able to sneak up on a single opponent this time around, program has never been targeted on an opposing schedule constantly so the water is much deeper they're attempting to reach the championship bank from now.

Terrance Sullivan

Going To Be A interesting Season for Our Canes Hoops Teams but I got confidence In Jim and Katie to continue to get it done. Final Four Banner to be put in the Rafters on November 10th and Elite Eight Banner to be put up November 12th. Along with Reconfigured Watsco Center! Also I believe we get Softball Team by 2026 Season(2025-26 Athletic Calender) Go Canes!

Herbieibis

Well, we need big time under aged jocks at DT and we ain't reeling to many in. A priority as Mario put it was the D line. We got ends lined up 4 deep.

TonyCane

LOL…the list of woe is for particular egregious crimes. Like the postgame fight (LSU). Terry Porter and the stolen NC (Ohio State). Last game in the OB (Virginia). Upside down Us in each game (UNC).

I guess Notre Dame can be on there too for the fake fumble.

Old Skool

Who knew ... Brashard Smith is the nation's leading kick returner.

MLALUMNI 1970

Anyone going to the game on Saturday, at Hard Rock?? Cheer, cheer, cheer. Makes me fondly remember my Orange Bowl Days, when the Orange Bowl was an adventure, but a fun one.
I wish we could play that damn Georgia Tech game over. Never should have lost that game. Absolutely criminal.
What do you think of TVD coming back to play this Saturday?
Curious, about all your opinions.

Interesting tidbits from CNN

This year, World Series viewership will likely not greatly exceed 10 million – or half of what it was 30 years ago.

Consider a recent Washington Post survey that asked Americans about their favorite sport to watch. Baseball came in at 9% behind football (34%) and basketball (12%).

That’s one of the lowest percentages ever recorded for baseball, and it’s well down from the north of 30% of Americans who said it was their favorite sport to watch in the middle of the 20th century.

It’s even worse among Americans who consider themselves sports fans.

Baseball is tied at 9% with soccer, which barely registered in the polls 20 years ago. The classic American sport is barely ahead of motor racing for sports fans’ favorite sport to watch.

Simple solution: Take two of the biggest, strongest and heaviest DEs with the best frames for adding weight and slide their azzes over from DE to DT.

Problem solved!
