In our series of Canespace features on long-time bloggers we have paid tribute to Terrance, KYCane, NativeCane, RaizeCane and even way back in the day CanesGirlNC with her famous green dress.
Today we look at the most complex, deep thinking and incredibly interesting blogger we have encountered: Old Skool (at R wearing tie with NativeCane, Terrance and ArmyCane).
Judson has been with Canespace since the very early beginning. After our lunch meeting and discussion at an Irish Pub today in Apopka we realized that we have done may amazing adventures together. Most definitely more than any other two Canespacers on the blog.
We have almost died while white water rafting on the Chattooga River with SolarCane and OcalaCane.
We have kayaked Rainbow Springs and met women floating on inflatable mattresses serving shots of an unknown alcoholic beverage in the process.
We have gone scalloping on the Crystal River with NativeCane and then sauteed them in butter and garlic over pasta the same night.
And, we have camped out at Wekiva with a crazy man with a chain saw, a guy with a 1.75 liter of Captain Morgan and have fished in both fresh and salt water in several States.
We also have attended many Miami Hurricanes Sports events together.
Our relationship has been a strong and our lives have been made richer by these experiences. The best part of it all? We lived to talk about it!
I Love Our Canesspace Family!

Interesting article from the NYTimes regarding Paris FC making its games free: https://www.nytimes.com/2024/04/10/world/europe/paris-fc-free-tickets-soccer.html.
The club began what amounts to a live-action experiment examining some of the most profound issues affecting sports in the digital age: the relationship between cost and value; the connection between fans and their local teams; and, most important, what it is to attend an event at a time when sports are just another arm of the entertainment industry.
Crowds are up by more than a third. Games held at times appealing for school-age children have been the best attended, indicating that the club is succeeding in attracting a younger demographic.
Paris F.C.’s tickets were never desperately expensive — attendees had been paying the equivalent of only about $6, but abolishing even that shallow barrier has made a noticeable difference.

Word is Mark Fletcher may be out for the 2024 season with a lisfranc injury to his foot. Also rumors that new RB1 could be coming from Oregon st in transfer Damien Martinez. Saw his HL's and he looks GOOD

Lisfranc injuries, while not highly common, occur when any of the bones or ligaments in the Lisfranc joint break or tear. A Lisfranc or midfoot injury typically results from a sudden trauma. It can take months to heal fully. Lisfranc injury treatment depends on the type and severity of the damage.

Fun times ahead. There better be collective bargaining. Imagine trying to get 18 year olds to agree on anything.
In an interview with The Athletic, Iowa athletic director Beth Goetz said, “There’s not a day that goes by where we’re not talking about what the future of college athletics would look like.” That also includes discussion of a super football league, reported last week by The Athletic, in which one entity would control college football with a union and collective bargaining. That would offload the antitrust issues the NCAA perpetually faces.

Luka Gilbert, interestingly, is from OH, and a crystal ball from yesterday went out for Brock Schott, a smaller TE from Indiana, for the U. IF they both stick, this would mean 2 top 15 TEs from Big 10/OSU country, and Luka is massive at 6'7" while Schott is "only" 6'3" but said to be maybe the fastest TE prospect in the country. 2 totally different styles that would be awesome to reel in IF the U can fend off B10 powers between now and December.
